So this is my second post on XDA.
LG L50 Sporty is also known as LG L50 D213N.
It is not so high level device and so maybe is not of wide interest. But ...
After searching a whole internet I was root it. So other don't have to go through.
Maybe this post will look as long procedure (first view) but actually is not.
There are a couple preliminary steps but just three steps to root.

Hello, as I decided today to root my first android phone and found it quite difficult to do, I'm writing a hopefully complete, noob friendly tutorial to root the Sony Xperia Miro (ST23i). Special thanks to Bin4ry's post and messmeww's post and XMoDXs1's incomplete post for the main ideas. If you have doubts/questions along the way please refer to Bin4ry's post (or messmeww's)!
Please remember that rooting your phone may void your warranty or brick it. Btw, hit that Thanks button if this helped!
Step 1 - Preparation
While I didn't care about the data on my phone, you probably should. Rooting can erase data (as I discovered the hard way). Delve into the forums and look for a good way to back up your data before proceeding. No help from me here.
Go into settings and tick the options "Unknown Sources" under Security and "USB Debugging" under Development Options. Remember to repeat this at the beginning on steps 2, 3 and 4 (unless already ticked). This operation will be referred to as "check the ticks".
Step 2 - Downgrading
If you go under Settings > About Phone you should see that the build number is 11.0.A.5.5. We need to downgrade the phone to an earlier version (11.0.A.2.10) to root it. This is done with the Flashtool. Download it here.
In the meanwhile, download the FTF files for both build numbers 11.0.A.2.10 and 11.0.A.5.5.
Once the Flashtool is downloaded, run and install it. Once you have done this, open the location of the installed Flashtool (e.g.: C:\Program Files (x86)\Flashtool) and open the "drivers" folder. Run the file Flashtool-drivers and follow the prompts until you reach a list, there select the option with Xperia U in it and the last 2 options of the list (both have "Super" in them I think). Then follow all other prompts to install these drivers.
Now check the ticks, plug in your phone via USB and run the Flashtool. Drag the 11.0.A.2.10 FTF file into the middle of the box and it should be loaded. (If this doesn't happen, return to the Flashtool install folder and run the "x10flasher" file, same thing, requires Java, then repeat). Once dragged, a window should pop up. DESELECT WIPE DATA! Then click "ok" and the Flashtool will begin flashing your phone. It will ask you to unplug the phone, turn it off, then replug it while holding the volume down button. At this point the Flashtool should automatically continue the process. Once the process is complete, unplug the phone once more and turn it on. It might take longer than usual, so don't panic. If you check, the build number should now be 11.0.A.2.10.
Step 3 - Rooting
Now we will root the phone using Bin4ry's Root with Restore (please, no mirrors by request of Bin4ry). Download it and unzip it in a folder on your desktop. Then, run CMD as an Administrator and type in the unzipped folder after "cd" (e.g.: "cd C:\Users\Mc837\Desktop\Root_by_Restore") and hit enter. Now type "runme", hit enter, type "1", hit enter, check the ticks, then plug in your phone. Follow the prompts and the phone will be rooted. When the phone turns again go to your applications one should now be "SuperSU". This means your phone is rooted.
Step 4 - Upgrading
Download the Root files here. Then, extract it to a folder on your desktop and run "01-local-prop" and follow the prompts. Now repeat Step 2 again but with the 11.0.A.5.5 FTF file, this will upgrade the firmware to your previous one. Unplug your phone and turn it on. Once on, you'll notice SuperSU is gone. Check the ticks and plug in your phone once more. In the same folder as "01-local-prop" locate and run "02-push-root-files". Follow the prompts and your phone will reboot by itself. Congratulations! Your phone is now rooted!
Step 5 - Enabling the MicroSD expansion slot (optional, not required for rooting)
Download "Root Browser Lite" from the Play Store. Open it and search for the file "vold.fstab" under System > etc. Once found, copy it as to have a backup, then open the file with a text editor and replace the last part (in code) with the following:
Code:
#MTD-BSP-LC-uSD_and_eMMC_coexistence-00 *[
dev_mount sdcard /mnt/sdcard auto /devices/platform/msm_sdcc.1/mmc_host
dev_mount ext_card /mnt/ext_card 16 /devices/platform/msm_sdcc.3/mmc_host/mmc0
#MTD-BSP-LC-uSD_and_eMMC_coexistence-00 *]
Now turn your phone on and off again. The internal memory will now be regarded as the external sd card (ext_sd) while the actual sd card will become what the phone calls sd_card! If you forgot to backup the file click here.
I hope this tutorial helped you. Hit the thanks button if you think so!
Superuser Icon won't show and runme.cmd boot runs as it is.
When i run the restore binary file, the phone reboots but the super user app won't show besides
<1>vibrate on my phone doesn't function anymore
<2>when i try to unlock the screen, the screen remains blackened out.
someone please help,I had root before on 11.0.A.5.5 firmware but i installed cynogenmode but i hated it so i reflashed stock rom and my root is gone plus my firmware is already downgraded to 11.0.A.2.10. Nothings working according to my way
Hello to everyone.
I'm using Lenovo A560 and want to root it to delete all those junk, built-in apps so that my RAM usage will decrease. I have tried many times using various root software (rootgenius, kingo, framaroot) yet didn't successful to root my a560. I have already installed usb driver for lenovo a560. Anyone can help me? I already have tried to root my phone like in the http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2769260 thread but still the same problem occurred.
When i used rootgenius, my phone just reboot and reboot until 86% and the process failed. same on the kingo (except my phone did not reboot like before, it just failed after a reboot). In framaroot, the #error 6 message pop out.
Anyone can help me how to root my phone please? My phone system:
Android 4.3
Baseband ver : A560_A_0001_140330
Kernel Ver: 3.4.0-g80ec9c8-01182-gb30d6a7-dirty [email protected] #6
Build Num : A560_S010_143330
#just put every details for that i'm a newbie in these things. Any help would be very appreciated. (manual root not recommended, but still can try~)
Thanks!
Same problem here. Anyone can help please? Android 4.3 running on Lenovo A560.
problem solved.
I finally managed to root my a560 by installing the driver from the phone into the PC . Then I used iRoot to root my phone. It works! I followed the methods provided by a Russian blog (cannot post outside link because I'm a new user, credit to the blog)
Here's the methods (translated, contains grammar errors).
Remember, you're doing it at your own risk. The site administrator can not be held liable for the actions that you make.
1. Download and install the program on your computer VRoot
2. Disable antivirus (as needed).
3. Run the program, connect the device to your computer (if it is not defined, then try to install the drivers from the official site of your device). On the phone should be included: Debugging via USB, install from unknown sources in the USB connection must be uncheck MTP and Camera (RTR).
4. Once the device is determined, press the bottom right button green "ROOT", and wait.
5. Then, after the last window, the device will reboot (And it can be disconnected from the computer).
6. Root entitled to receive!
Russification (Thanks to Timur):
- Set on the PC this Chinese VRoot
- Put on sotik "Chinese" root-rights
- Then go to the Play Store, we set out SuperSU
- Run it, he will offer to update binary.
- Click to continue, and then click "OK". Pops request of the Chinese root.
- Press the right button zelёnenkuyu. After SuperSU say that the installation is successful, it will prompt you to delete other applications control root-access.
- Click "Yes" forward (SuperSU remove our "Chinese" and replace it with a more simply). Writes again about the successful installation.
Note : The phone will ask you something in Chinese after you root the phone. Just click the right button when the phone pop-up something after you root. This is because right button is the 'YES' and left one is 'NO' and i think that is the phone is asking for root permission.
P/s : for some reason I cannot delete the pre-installed software on my phone, even using root explorer. Anyway, the softwares that need the phone rooted can be installed.
I spent days and nights but I got it

Ok guys since I did not see anywhere on the net how to root the device here is a quick guide please move the thread wherever you feel more appropriate:
1) you will need to install the driver for the LG flex on your computer
2) unlock developer mode go to setting - go to about phone - go to software info - tap 7 times on build number this will activate developer mode
3) go to setting you will have a new option called developer options go inside check USB debugging
4) go to lgviet dot com and search for lgl23 I cannot post the link since the site is blocking me click on the first result download the software from android host move the folder in the zip to your desktop
5) connect your phone with the usb with your computer
6) run runroot follow instruction for the rooting
7) if you see that the software is stucked its probably because you have a warning message from google SAY NO and that is it the software will finish instantly and your device is rooted.
I rooted 2 devices both of them were 4.2.2 japanese editions bought on ebay.
Cheers
Where do I get the drivers from? I can't seem to find them
There are 4 parts to this post (since they are related, I put all of them here, not on separate threads / posts):
-Rom installing guide
-Fix youtube error on Android 4.2
-Activate dual SIM
-Fix missing IMEI-number(s)
ROM-installing guide
Purpose for installing this ROM is that depenging on the purchase place, there can be spyware and such on the phone. Some other modifications are there also, but I do not know what they are. Well, at least this ROM works pretty fast (at least after I uninstalled some useless software with root access).
Original ROM build version on my phone was A916_USR_S1205_141013
This new ROM is Android version 4.4.2 (Build: A916_S206-141125_baralajbi), and this is rooted already. I also found S207 ROM, but it would not install. This ROM is multilingual, of course.
Written guide source is here: http://www.needrom.com/download/lenovo-a916-multilang-root-gapps/
And video guide source here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LzyYXAflmOk
Firstly you need to register and login to www.needrom.com or you will not be able to download these files.
Download "MT_6592_SP Flash Tool v5.1352.01"
http://www.needrom.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/MT_6592_SP-Flash-Tool-v5.1352.01.zip
Download "MTK_USB VCOM Driver"
http://www.needrom.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/MTK_USB-VCOM-Driver.zip
Download "LenovoUSBDriver"
http://www.needrom.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/LenovoUSBDriver.rar
Download "A916_USR_S206_baralajbi" (This is the new ROM / Firmware)
http://www.needrom.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/A916_USR_S206_baralajbi.zip
AND do the following (some of these might be in the wrong order, did the best I could):
1. Extract all the downloaded packages in to own folders.
2. Prepare your phone, and set USB DEBUGGING on:
Go to: Settings --> developer options --> usb debugging >tick<
OR if the setting is not present, go to: Settings --> about phone --> baseband version {tap this line 7 times}, come back out to settings --> developer options --> usb debugging >tick<
3. If you are paranoid, or using this guide to another model phone, backup your IMEI (this install has been tested on A916, and it does not temper with either of two IMEI, IF done correctly). This MIGHT require root, not sure. There are plenty of softwares to backup those. At LEAST write them down somewhere!
4. Turn off your phone, remove the battery, remove usb-cord (if any).
5. Install the VCOM driver if you don't have this before. Go to windows Device manager, select ANYTHING from the list, select from top drop down menu "action" and "Add Legacy Hardware" (this happens at 4:53 in the video), Select the following: Next --> Install hardware manually --> Next --> Next --> Have disk, now search the correct driver from where you extracted the VCOM-drivers
6. Install lenovo usb driver from where you extracted it (LenovoUsbDriver_autorun_1.0.8.exe). When program asks, remove the phone from usb-cable (if for some reason it is connected)
7. Go to Flash Tool folder, then RIGHT-Click on Flash_tool.exe (choose, run as administrator)
-With Flashtool select "scatter loading"-option, and point it to the "MT6592_Android_scatter.txt" from where you extracted the contents of rom package.
-Wait file to be added into Flash Tool, a long list opens below.
-Open from top drop down menu: Options --> Options --> Download / and select "DA DL All with Checksum" -option.
-Choose "Firmware Upgrade" (OR "Download only"), CAUTION! Do NOT use "Format All + Download", because you will lose the IMEI!!!
-Press Download-button when ready and AFTER pressing that connect the phone (without battery)! -->The process will start and a red progress bar will appear. It will turn yellow, grey and green. When popup appears that says "OK", just click on the X to close that window.
-You have finished.
-You can now safely disconnect your phone, insert battery and turn it on.
-The first boot can take about 1-2 mins

To make Youtube work
First test does it work, dah.
(You have to be root, and this above ROM-image is rooted already)
Source: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1948558
We must make the phone "think" it is 5.0 Lollipop, doing this is quite easy. Do the following.
1. Install ES Explorer.
2. Once downloaded and installed, Open the application and hit Menu, then tap "Settings", this will bring you to the apps Settings Menu. Once in the Settings Menu, scroll all the way down to Root Settings. In Root Settings, "check" Root Explorer (and "Mount File System" if available)
3. We look for the folder /system/build.prop
4. Open the file publisher build.prop
5. Find line:
ro.build.version.release = 4.4.2
and change to
ro.build.version.release = 5.0
6. Save the change.
7. Reboot phone
Now you can check it if it worked going to system settings --> Information about phone (or similar) --> Device information. It should say Android version 5.0, and youtube should be working. Someone said that now you can also install more apps for this phone after "upgrade" to 5.0.

Dual SIM-standby
If problems with dual SIM stanby (only one SIM is in standby), do the following:
WARNING:
This warning does NOT consern you, IF you made clean install, I am pretty sure some security program (avast?) screwed my phone, still, read on:
I tested and this activates dual sim, BUT after doing this and rebooting, phone asks "privacy protection password". I have no clue what this could be, since I have not set any. I have not found a way to skip this verification, even installing fresh ROM does not help, ONLY thing that helps is to format the phone from the software, and then install new ROM. By doing this, IMEI, phone serial and some MAC-addresses got lost. However, if you have the box still available (or on the back of the phone, under battery is a sticker), you can restore IMEI-number. There are also several apps, that will make backups of these, I would recommend several backups with different programs BEFORE activating dual SIM standby! As said before, at least write them down.
Activating dual SIM standby:
Activation steps (Read warning above, this is best to do for phones that have no installed external security programs!):
1. Make sure you have USB-debugging on, or you might get bricked phone, if anything goes wrong (unable to reflash without it on)!
2. Input *#*#5448264#*#* on the dialpad
3. A916 will automatically restart then
4. Setting --> SIM management --> Single Standby Settings --> select "Sim 1 And SIM 2"
5. Reboot phone
6. Dual SIM card / dual standby SHOULD be available!
If you have no success, check that both your SIMS are correctly inserted and there is selected both sims in the settings.

If you for some reason partially bricked phone and lost IMEI, here is an guide for fixing that:
Sources:
Here is how to video --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ewRaziVtBLk
And here is how to website --> http://bernardosbagofbeans.com/2014/12/restoring-imei-lenovo-tab-a7-30-a3300hv.html
Short summary for IMEI change:
Service mode, input to dialpad:
*#*#3646633#*#*
NOTE: On this A916 phone (it seems that) the IMEI 1 and IMEI 2 can NOT be the same number! Use some random generator for second one, first one is on the box and under the battery.
Setting first IMEI:
Connectivity --> CDS Information --> Radio information --> Phone 1
AT+ EGMR=1,7,”IMEI_1"
Setting second IMEI:
Connectivity --> CDS Information --> Radio information --> Phone 2
AT+ EGMR=1,10,”IMEI_2"
If lost, replace blank bluetooth, WIFI and IP-Mac adresses (and some other maybe):
Install "Device id IMEI changer Exposed" -app, and use it. It will NOT change IMEI, check it out, easy to use. You might be okay without this also.
To insert phone serial number I have no success yet. Serial number is found on the box and behind the phone battery. This phone has MediaTek MT6592-chipset, if that helps googling. I am interested about how to do that, if anyone can. There is place for SN and PN-numbers, no idea what PN-number should be, SN seems to be at the back of the phone.
In /sys/class/android_usb/android0/iSerial there is phone serial, but if I get it correctly, the operating system just writes there at boot what is in the phone firmware. Changing this, does not help, it is just overwritten over at next boot. Android system info does not show this serial, but for example "my id"-app shows it correctly. And it is still different from the original serial.
Is there a recovery like TWRP or CWM for it?
There is a link in needrom guide (~ 7 megs) --> http://www.needrom.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/CWM_recovery1.im
No idea what to do with it
