I do not get LTE/4G, but 3G is fine. I know for sure that the provider is sending 4G in my area, my othert phone Samsung gets it. They are sending on 2100 mhz and 2600 mhz, both to be supported by mine phone. But they also send on 800 mhz and that is not supported by my OPO. What can I do to get LTE? Anyone have an idea?
EDIT: Running CM12.

I just figured this out after getting the plan, stupid me
Is their AAAAAANYWAY, i can get 3g on this phone though tmobile?
If not im going back to att
You have to buy a T-mo phone. Only T-Mo phone has 1700Mhz AWS band.
T-mobile phones use the 1700 MHz 3G band, as stated in the previous post. The AT&T Captivate doesn't support that band, it only supports 850 MHz, 900MHz 1900 MHz, and 2100 MHz 3G bands. The reason that you are able to use the Captivate on T-mobile at all is because the Captivate is a quad band GSM phone and that is what it can back down to for voice and 2G data if 3G is not available.
Next time just post in one spot... not 3 to 4 you will get a responce you just have to wait...
I got Nexus S on ATT and I have tried it with a TMobile SIM (got surprised because phone isn't locked...) but it works on 2G only.
I'm wondering if it will work properly (as 3G) in Europe. Does it cover 900 and 2100?
What is ATT's data frequency? Is it 2100?
thanks !
I'm gonna reply to my own topic: according with Wiki ATT uses 850 MHz and 1900 MHz for UMTS (3G) that means ATT (unlocked) phone will work as 2G in Europe (2100 MHz)
On the other hand, T-Mobile's frequencies are 1700 MHz (uplink) and 2100 MHz (downlink).
Does it mean a T-Mobile phone will be able to work properly on Europe's 3G networks (2100 MHz?
Hello...
I just have a quick questions regarding the i9020 and 3G in Europe. This phone has 900, 17000 and 2100 mhz radios. So here in the USA it is meant for T-Mobile.
Will it get 3G in Europe? As far as I know Europe uses 900/2100 MHz for 3g, is that correct? So this phone should be all clear for that?
Thanks
yes, it should work flawlessly...
Does the relay 4G use the 900 and the 2100 mhz bands ?
Some sites day it does, other say it doesn't.

if you're asking if it works for hspa outside of US yes, it does. apparently wcdma is 2100mhz everywhere but in the US
I'm just wondering if 900 Mhz does also work (the phone has it?)
According to HTC.com, this phone has the 1800 MHz LTE band (LTE band 3).
I am currently in Australia, using a Telstra LTE SIM, and I can't pick up LTE on my phone.
I tested this SIM in another phone and it gets LTE, so the problem isn't the lack of reception in my area or the SIM.
I get 3G and H data but no LTE.
I know Telstra uses 1800 MHz for LTE.
I tried changing from Global to GSM mode and all the other modes as well as all the options available in the phoneinfo app.
It seems like this device has the 1800 MHz LTE band blocked, what can be done about this?
Thanks!
