[Q] [D800] Need help with getting back to stock AT&T and upgrading to Lolipop. - AT&T LG G2

Hello, my D800 G2 is currently running Cloudy G2.2 and I have a problem where a certain part of my screen is unresponsive. I'm not sure if its a Hardware or Software problem; but I figured I would go back to stock and see if solves my problem. So I'm wondering if it's possible for me to flash stock and then upgrade the software to the official Lolipop update (OTA) or maybe just flash straight to Lolipop. Either way I would like to completely unroot and remove TWRP; and preferably have Lolipop in the end. Any insight on a fix for the screen is also appreciated, and thanks in advance for any help with reversion aswell.

How Install Lollipop 5.0.2 on LG G2 D800 AT&T V30…: https://youtu.be/7gPQCb3s7oo

Basically....
1. Download D800 stock .tot firmware (http://storagecow.eu/index.php?dir=Xda/LG+G2/Stock/AT&T/)
2. Flash stock in Download Mode with LG Flash Tools
3. Enable usb debugging...Use IOROOT to root
4. Use AutoRec apk to flash recovery
5. Download LP bootstack (or JB baseband if required on some older LP roms)
6. Flash LP rom of choice (Blisspop, Euphoria, Official/Unofficial CM12, etc.)

Lg g2 d80020k

So I just got a new AT&T LG G2 and it got updated to the newest version of the firmware which is the D80020k firmware. I wanted to root and install Mahdi rom but I cant get a custom recovery onto my phone because the firmware is not supported (trying to get TWRP). So now I am looking to see if I can revert my phone back to the D80010D firmware. But this is my dilemma. Is it safe to use LG FlashTool on D80020K firmware to go back to D80010D firmware?
Figured it out!
I am back on jellybean! I just took the risk and used LG Flash Tool....worked fine
Quick note: the latest firmware version is 20y (20k -> 20u -> 20y).
Even with 20y, you can still root and install TWRP recovery on it.
Anyway, you got everything under control. Congrats.

1. Unroot
2. Flash stock through fastboot. (If you already have stock rom, just flash recovery if you modified it.)
3. Do the ota update
4. Reroot if you want.

How to update a rooted Moto G (XT1032) 4.4.4 to 5.0?

Hi,
the title says it all:
How can I apply the 5.0 OTA update on a rooted, unlocked Moto G XT1032 with CWM recovery?
I don't care about root anymore and I have used SuperSU to unroot the phone.
But in order to apply the update I need to install the stock recovery, otherwise the device will get stuck in a bootloop.
How do I do this? I have tried using MotoToolAIO and its "Flash Stock Recovery KitKat" button but get a
Code:
hab check failed for recovery
message every time I try.
Could you guys please tell me how to get the stock recovery installed on this phone? As I said I don't care about losing root and I don't mind relocking the phone if necessary. I would really appreciate any pointers you can give me. Possibly without losing my data & apps. Thank you.
This page apparently is supposed to contain all those stock files but it is broken: http://sbf.droid-developers.org/phone.php?device=14
This manual seems to be helpful for similar cases, it did not help me, though: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2542219
Download the stock 4.4.4 ROM for your phone, extract the recovery.img file, and flash it using fastboot commands.
You also need to be unrooted with the stock Motorola apps.

If you think that solves the proble, well...yes. But where do I find that file? As I indicated the only possible source seems to be unavailable currently. I can't find any other.
Does anyone here have an XT1032 DE singleSIM recovery image lying around?
As I am currently living in South Africa and internet is not reall stable it would be amazing if someone could offer just the recovery file instead of the whole 500-600MB dump.
I have a Canadian xt1032 running stock Telus 4.4.4 firmware. Not sure if that recovery would work but I could find it if you want to try it.
Don't forget to unroot too.
I unrooted too using SuperSU and managed to restore the stock recovery using MotoTool (find it on XDA). These are the basic requirements for installing an OTA. But after the OTA is downloaded and I try to install it, the process starts and in about 10 seconds it displays "Error" and boots to 4.4.4 again. Any recommendations?
^^did you remove any of the stock Motorola apps?
No, and Motorola Update Services is updated to the last version.

I doubt it - and fear what might happen if it goes wrong, to be honest. But thanks a lot for the offer. I was able to locate a Retail package for the DE version and will try to download the whole beast, hoping that the connection is stable for these 3 hours.
Even though nobody answered me, I found out what's going on. Lollipop OTAs cannot be installed on modified devices.
You could try out some custom ROM if you are unable to get the official 4.4.4. Carbon and CM11 are some customs ROMs I know of.
There are great unofficial ROMs on the moto g xda forum too!! Don't forget to have a look.

I'm thinking of Resurrection Remix 5.0.2
You could also check out mokee, crdroid, xperience. And don't forget to check out the ROMs in the forum list

One question man. I have 4.4.4 installed. Do I have to install stock 5.X in order to get lollipop bootloader before installing any ROM?

how did you manage to un-modify your device? I just bought the Moto G (2013) and have unlocked the bootloader and installed TWRP and haven't had any luck installing ANY firmware after 4.4.4.... I'm always getting stuck on the bootlogo and have to return back to stock 4.4.4...

You need to have factory firmware and recovery installed in order to update via OTA.

[Q] HELP!!! Moto G 1032 model lollipop reboot when uninstalling apps

Hello forum, basically, when I got my moto G, it was on 4.3, so I did all the bits, and the step i did after all the rooting unlocking etc was upgraded my bootloader to the lollipop one (ending in 8 i believe) - which i wish i didnt do, and cant downgrade to 4.4.4 (or can I without bricking)......right back to the story.......the problem now is, whenever i try uninstalling apps, or wiping data in any app etc, my phone does a reboot, I installed the brazillian 5.0.2 flashable rom (the optimised one) which worked perfectly, did all the correct wipes etc, but it reboots when uninstalling apps......, and thought i would try dirty unicorns....works well except the rebooting problem...... help....what can I do????????
I read somewhere that maybe to solve it, you gotta change runtime from dalvik to ART, but there is no option to change this....
There are no 5.0.2 uk images available that i have read (so i cant completely get back to complete factory settings)
I really wished i kept the KK bootloader!!!! so who can help me????? I want to try some of the great CM11 builds!!!
Since your bootloader is unlocked and you have the lollipop bootloader, I suggest flashing the stock 4.4.4 (not 4.4.2) ROM for your xt1032 (you will not be able to flash the motoboot file so don't bother trying), upgrade the Motorola apps via Play store, and take the 5.02 OTA update.
FInd your stock ROM here: http://www.filefactory.com/folder/c6cdedc45a775d27/?sort=filename&order=ASC&show=100&page=1

do i have to update to 5.0.2 again? as i want to try cm11 again
@audit13 is this a flashable zip, or do you need to do it via fastboot? as its got a bootloader included in the zip (4.4.4 kitkat bootloader)
The files from filefactory need to be unzipped and flashed via fastboot or mfastboot.
You do not need to do anything with the stock ROM if you want to install a custom ROM. All you need to do is install a compatible custom recovery and a custom ROM. I suggest flashing right to the latest CM12 rather than using CM11.
I suggested flashing back to the stock for your phone and upgrading to 5.02 via OTA to see if the uninstall problem goes away.
yep understood @audit13 read your other posts on this matter too, the reason I want to use a cm11 rom, is I had a moto g about 8-9 months ago, and there was a rom i loved, and it was cm11 based......will i brick if i do flash this cm11 rom? i know about flickering bug, and possible hard brick if i went back to versions below 4.4.4 ...... and i love cyanogenmod roms, as i dont get irritating moto updates etc
Flashing CM11 should not be a problem as CM11 ROMs do not touch the bootloader or modem.
so basically, downgrade to the 4.4.4 firmware file, and cm11 and im done? yeah?
You can try to flash cm11 directly over stock 5.02. If it doesn't work, you may have to flash back to stock 4.4.4, install recovery, and then flash cm11.

Go from BlissPop to Kitkat 4.4.4

What image do I need to download to revert back to Kitkat 4.4.4? I found these here, but I'm not sure which one I need to download. I have the Wifi 16GB version. Also, is the process the same as flashing a custom rom like BlissPop. I followed this guide here. Do I just use the Kitkat image I download in place of the BlissPop ROM? I'm currently using BlissPop and I want to go back to Kitkit 4.4.4. Any help will be appreciated.
I just did this, I used 1.21, it's the last kitKat image before lolipop.
