Go from BlissPop to Kitkat 4.4.4 - Shield Tablet Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

What image do I need to download to revert back to Kitkat 4.4.4? I found these here, but I'm not sure which one I need to download. I have the Wifi 16GB version. Also, is the process the same as flashing a custom rom like BlissPop. I followed this guide here. Do I just use the Kitkat image I download in place of the BlissPop ROM? I'm currently using BlissPop and I want to go back to Kitkit 4.4.4. Any help will be appreciated.

I just did this, I used 1.21, it's the last kitKat image before lolipop.

[Q] Going back to KitKat from CM12.

Hello, everyone!
I've been using an XT1032 for a long time now and flashed a lot of different ROMs and kernels on it. At some point this year, I decided the best combination was GPE KitKat with XPosed Framework. It worked great. Now, before Lollipop started to rollout OTA, I decided to give CM12 a shot and flashed various ROMs. As they are really buggy, I want to go back to KitKat.
But, I've seen that going to Lollipop can flash a new bootloader that can cause problems if you want to go back to KitKat. As far as I understand, this only happens if you update to Lollipop through OTA (or through fastboot one of the ROMs extracted from official Lollipop releases) and not when flashing the CM12 ROMs, but I really want to be sure:
Can I safely flash a KitKat ROM (like CM11)?
For help, thanks a lot!

If you converted your phone to Brazilian firmware and side-loaded 5.0 OTA then your boot-loader was upgraded and will cause problems downgrading to 4.4.4 Kitkat. It's the same if you converted your phone to GPE and side-loaded the 5.0.1 firmware; boot-loader was upgraded. There are a lot of threads of people bricking their phones when they decided to downgraded, so if you did any of the following stay on Lollipop. If you had Kitkat and just flashed CM12 and never flashed Official Lollipop then you are safe since the boot-loader was not upgraded. Just to feel safe boot into Fastboot Mode and make sure your boot-loader is 41.13. If it's different don't flash stock KitKat ROM.

I just flashed CM12 over Kitkat without every flashing official Lollipop. I did what you suggested and my Bootloader is still 41.13, so everything is OK. Thanks a lot!

[Q] Revert to stock recovery XT1039?

Hi,
I decided a while back to give Cyanogen mod a try on my Moto G 4G (XT1039). After finally reverting back to the stock firmware (4.4.4) from a backup I am left with a rooted phone and a custom recovery (TWRP).
Lollipop will be rolling out shortly and I would like to emjoy the update. As I understand I will not be able to update OTA due to TWRP.
What you be the best way to update to the stock Lollipop once it is released?
Is it best to return to the stock recovery? And especially how?
Or would it be best to wait for a flashable stock Lollipop zip to be posted and flah it through TWRP?
Thank you for your advice.
Back to the STOCK
If you want move back to the STOCK ROM - firstly download it here.
Secondly follow this instructions here.
I've rooted my XT1039 once and then I moved back to the STOCK and the OTA 4.4.4 for repair 10 class microSD came. I don't have TWRP so that isn't exactly the same situation. I just have unlocked bootloader.
PS: I'm chacking System updates five times every day

[Q] HELP!!! Moto G 1032 model lollipop reboot when uninstalling apps

Hello forum, basically, when I got my moto G, it was on 4.3, so I did all the bits, and the step i did after all the rooting unlocking etc was upgraded my bootloader to the lollipop one (ending in 8 i believe) - which i wish i didnt do, and cant downgrade to 4.4.4 (or can I without bricking)......right back to the story.......the problem now is, whenever i try uninstalling apps, or wiping data in any app etc, my phone does a reboot, I installed the brazillian 5.0.2 flashable rom (the optimised one) which worked perfectly, did all the correct wipes etc, but it reboots when uninstalling apps......, and thought i would try dirty unicorns....works well except the rebooting problem...... help....what can I do????????
I read somewhere that maybe to solve it, you gotta change runtime from dalvik to ART, but there is no option to change this....
There are no 5.0.2 uk images available that i have read (so i cant completely get back to complete factory settings)
I really wished i kept the KK bootloader!!!! so who can help me????? I want to try some of the great CM11 builds!!!
Since your bootloader is unlocked and you have the lollipop bootloader, I suggest flashing the stock 4.4.4 (not 4.4.2) ROM for your xt1032 (you will not be able to flash the motoboot file so don't bother trying), upgrade the Motorola apps via Play store, and take the 5.02 OTA update.
FInd your stock ROM here: http://www.filefactory.com/folder/c6cdedc45a775d27/?sort=filename&order=ASC&show=100&page=1

do i have to update to 5.0.2 again? as i want to try cm11 again
@audit13 is this a flashable zip, or do you need to do it via fastboot? as its got a bootloader included in the zip (4.4.4 kitkat bootloader)
The files from filefactory need to be unzipped and flashed via fastboot or mfastboot.
You do not need to do anything with the stock ROM if you want to install a custom ROM. All you need to do is install a compatible custom recovery and a custom ROM. I suggest flashing right to the latest CM12 rather than using CM11.
I suggested flashing back to the stock for your phone and upgrading to 5.02 via OTA to see if the uninstall problem goes away.
yep understood @audit13 read your other posts on this matter too, the reason I want to use a cm11 rom, is I had a moto g about 8-9 months ago, and there was a rom i loved, and it was cm11 based......will i brick if i do flash this cm11 rom? i know about flickering bug, and possible hard brick if i went back to versions below 4.4.4 ...... and i love cyanogenmod roms, as i dont get irritating moto updates etc
Flashing CM11 should not be a problem as CM11 ROMs do not touch the bootloader or modem.
so basically, downgrade to the 4.4.4 firmware file, and cm11 and im done? yeah?
You can try to flash cm11 directly over stock 5.02. If it doesn't work, you may have to flash back to stock 4.4.4, install recovery, and then flash cm11.

[Q] Can't boot custom rom after flashing in TWRP

I've never had issues barging into a development community and going out to the horizon of customization until this cellphone. It's been 12 hours of flashing and downloading and flushing and flashing...
I have S-off and unlocked through SunShine
I use the 0P6BIMG.zip to flash RUU back to the stock verizon rom android 4.4.2
I use 3.28.605.4-firmware.zip from the same RUU thread to update the firmware (???)
I want to install CM12 or liquidsmooth ROM, but I'm getting a hunch at this point I need to start with the stock verizon 5.0.1 installed before that because TWRP wants to patch the system file... But then why am I wiping my system before installing?
I also tried flashing FluentRom_v7.5.zip but I got stuck on the HTC initial screen, I don't even make it over to a boot animation.
What do?

I'm prettly sure you're on an older firmware. You need to be on 5.01 to flash the ROMs you have tried to flash. Use the pre-rooted RUU from this thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...zw-m8-master-ruu-firmware-collection-t2946473
Also make sure you have the latest version of TWRP.
Edit: The firmware you flashed was 4.4.4

Thanks for the link that thread and your advice was exactly what I needed.
For whatever reason after using the app/exe to flash 5.0.1 stock-rooted, Liquid Rom failed to install in TWRP. I reflashed the stock-rooted rom and CM-12.1 worked flawlessly. So I'm on CM right now :good: but I'll take another look into Liquid rom. Thanks so much!
Since you like AOSP, I recommend visiting the main m8 thread some other Roms. They are unified builds.

[XT925]Restore to stock 4.4.2

I'm currently running CM12.1 on an unlocked XT925. It is the European version. I want to revert back to the stock rom instead but can't find the tutorial or the files to do so. I'd be happy if I can find a complete fxz file.
