***IMAGE BELOW***
1) 100% ~ 75% - Wi-fi connected and almost didn't touch the phone
2) 75% ~ 40% - Misc. between Wi-fi, 3G/HSPA and flashlight
3) 40% ~ 30% - Wi-fi on, but not connected, using phone only over 3g/HSPA for text and twitter/facebook (i was in a train)
4) 30% ~ 15% - Same usage and place as 3
5) 15% ~ 1% - When the low battery message popped up, I barely let the screen turned on (I turned on sometimes to check the %)*
6) 1% ~ 0% - It last something like 30~45min if turn battery saver mode (wasn't the case of the image on the post)
*Sometimes that I turned on the screen, the low battery message sayin the batery was at a % and on the status bar was at different (and lower) %, (exemple: Message says 12% on the status bar says 7% due to the drain)
AND also when i try to take a screenshot i receive a message saying:
Couldn't capture screenshot
Can't take screenshot due to limited storage space, or it isn't allowed by the app or your organization.
Please, help

Custom settings have nothing new except what can be done otherwise also. I mean:
Close WiFi
Close Bluetooth
Close Data Sync
Brightness
Screen timeout
all these settings are there already
Thanks anyways for taking your time out to build this app

I've never had any problems with my Nexus S until my battery took a hit with 4.0.4 and now with 4.1.1 it's being a total pain in the ass.
For reasons I cannot figure out Exchange goes nuts. I turned sync off and didn't even check email yesterday but my battery had 10% left after 5 hours. With Gingerbread my screen was almost always the #1 battery user but since then others have taken away the crown. Exchange or Mediaserver with Android OS being runner up if not finishing first on occasion. I've been consciously trying to not use my phone for much because using it for much of anything means I'm down to like 3 hours on a charge. The phone never goes to sleep, the "Awake" bar is solid or a very intense bar code while the screen is more black space than anything by a large margin.
I am also finding that sms notifications aren't notifying me like they should be. Like I received a text 30 mins ago that I didn't know about until I went in and checked and seen one there waiting. Notifications are enabled. But I don't get the sound or the notification in the notification bar.
I flashed JB stock soju 4.1.1 (JRO03E) and I am having amazing battery life as you can see in the image with mild usage of 3 hrs 25 min screen on time. Usually with active use of browsing on 3G I reach 4 hrs screen on time.
I also don't have any problem with notifications.

last night i slept for around 8 hours, before i slept, i had battery power at 65% left, i wake up in the morning to find 27% left! now i think that verrryy much for idle state as my wifi, edge, games, calling/texting and screen were completely turned off for many hours. i look up the battery stats and found that Android OS had consumed 51%. below is the screenshot.

somebody please tell me why is that? and how do i get more life out of my battery?
Maybe your phone only goes up to 9 hours...
Maybe it's kernel related.. Are you on custom rom already?
My Droid on a JB ROM has the Android OS consume about 90% of the battery and it dies after 8 hours of screen off time, airplane mode. *shrugs* if anyone has a solution id like to know.

This has probably to do with something that is running in the background.
your phone apparently doesnt go into "deep sleep mode" Only in this mode you lose just few % per night.
I recommand to shut off your phone, take out the battery for a few seconds, put it back in, charge it in one go, then turn it on again. See what happens.
You can, of course, sleep with the charger in.
Welcome to Android, for the most part, our battery life sort of sucks :/
I know there's a battery thread but I wanna have a more detailed comparison of battery drain so that users can check against their own stats please post how much 1% of drain gives you in screen time and specify some things like:
*bin chip: get the info by entering the download mode
*Wi-Fi or cellular1
*brightness
*sync gmail/push mail etc
*screen resolution
*location on/off and settings
*any saving mode
*other settings you think would impact the battery life.
I know it's time consuming but let's be thorough for a minute and please no cheating
We can do by usage as well like: audio/video /gaming/browsing
I'll start
Browsing: 1% drain for 5 mn SOT
Gpu 4 small cores 6 big cores 6
4g
50% brightness
Syncing 4 gmail accounts and Twitter notifications
Fhd+
Location on battery saving on with Wi-Fi scanning
Limiting CPU to 70%
Edge light on
5 apps notifications on
Video: 5mn 1% drain
Watched 1080p video on YouTube
Same settings as above
Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
Update; I have exchanged my s8 for a new one and this one looks promising as I get 10mn SOY with same settings as previously used in browsing scenario
Better chip bin on this one?

Only on GPU as this one is 4 vs 3 but something was definitely wrong about the first one either a bad battery or something else.

3000Ah battery lasts only 3 days with basically no usage. Also percentages don't add up.
What could be the cause? Any quality apps that can determine the cause?

and what seems to be the problem ? its fairly normal. you thought the battery will hold 3 months ? what cause ? well the wifi and mobile network. those also consume battery. turn on airplane mode and you will see 4 days.
I had phones with 2500mAh batter lasting almost 7 days with minimal usage.
Also app usage was: 12% + 5% + 3% + 2% + 2% + 1% + 1% = 26%
so something is sucking 74% of battery??
Turns out WiFi connections sucks the battery even if you're not downloading anything.
Android/Google battery usage calculation is just terrible.
