Hello! [Insert standard new person apologies if this is in the wrong place etc statement]
I actually was lucky enough to win an LG G Flex 2 a few weeks ago. Since it beat the hell out of my Moto G, I kept it. All was going well until last night. I'll try to explain as best I can:
My Wi-Fi on the phone is constantly trying to turn on. Notice I say "turn on" and not "connect". I've hopefully attached two images to explain what I mean. On the quick start menu at the top of the phone, the Wi-Fi symbol is now constantly in motion, the way it is when it's turning on. (Usually static when Wi-Fi is on.) When I enter the Wi-Fi settings, I see the message "Turning Wi-Fi on..." and nothing more. There's no list of networks or anything. The Off-On switch on the top of the settings is greyed out so I can't play with that. I also can't just turn off the Wi-FI altogether by any means. This problem has been consistant for the last 24 hours. I can use Data just fine, but can't connect to Wi-Fi at all.
So, I decided to do a hard reset. In fact I did two. Once through the phone settings, then again a couple of hours later via the Power and Volume buttons when the phone is off. This does not fix the issue. It's leading me to think it's a hardware issue, which is annoying - especially as I don't have insurance for the phone, yet.
If anyone has any thoughts on what I can try to fix this, you will have my gratitude.
Many thanks.

Sorry, dumb question. Could you or someone explain how to do that? I have an original G Flex (unlocked) and it's doing the exact same thing with the wi fi and I can't find ANYTHING remotely close to what I'm dealing with except this thread...

Since i dont own the first gflex but the gflex2 i will advise you to ask in your device forum if the kdz flashing method works before you reflash. You need to find a suitable kdz of your phone firmware first . the procedure is quite simple if you have no issues with lg drivers in your pc.
But do another hard reset of your phone just in case ..

I found a sticky thread in the G Flex section that pointed me to some stock firmware so I'll try reflashing and see what happens. Thanks!
Hello,
Did you managed to fix this issue? Even i am having the same problem.
It would be great if you let me know how to fix this.
Thanks,
Jaswin

This is exactly what happened to my Flex 2 few days after Marshmallow update. Bluetooth didn't work as well. Hard reset didn't helped. Now the phone is in warranty service.

Tried reflashing with kdz, this didn't fixed the issue.

Has there been a solution yet?

I've had the phone for a week without this happening, but yesterday when I went to check out the locations app it gave me some GPS error which I fixed up, but then decided I didn't want to use the app so I disabled the GPS satellite and dock feature when plugging in the phone for charging. Last night I realised this was happening a few times so I shrugged it off and just reset the phone which seemed to work for a bit, but then after leaving the phone on lock all night with no wi-fi, bluetooth, GPS or anything, I wake up to see the phone, after 8 hours of standby, to be at about 10% battery. Right now it's on charge, and a couple of minutes ago without touching it the screen turned on for exactly 1 minute.
At first I thought it was because of the locations app, but this doesn't seem to be the case since I force stopped it and it's still doing this.
What could be causing this? It's not that big of a hinderance, but when the phone quickly drains itself of battery because of it gets a bit annoying. Should I just wait it out for the android 2.4 update and hope it fixes itself? I was thinking of rooting the phone and going on from there to see if there's a method that'll fix it, but with the update coming in a couple of months I'd rather refrain from it (even though I have no idea what rooting would do in this situation).
e: locations seemed to have started itself up again. I think it IS the application doing this.

Oh magic all knowing 8ball, what phone does he have?
*shakes magic 8ball*
*8ball glows and shows letters*
Plug your Moto RAZR into your computer, install android sdk, use adb logcat to read out the log files.
When your screen turns on again there will be some indication who requested your phone to wake up.
Sorry disregard that post. The Moto RAZR doesn't run android, so this can't be the solution...
I posted that in the HTC Desire HD Q&A forum, no idea why it was moved when it's a question about the phone. :\
But yeah, HTC Desire HD. I half expect no solution but I can still be hopeful.
In that case my suggested approach with adb logcat would work .
seems to be really very complicated and understand how to use the method. sorry im newbie
Not really there is a ****load of tutorial on the net how to install the android sdk.
Just use google.
Hi - I just got my Sensation a few days ago and I love it. But I have now found an annoying bug (?). When I take a picture and it involves the flash going off, 8 times out of ten the phone will just go dead immediately - screen off, no response. Sometimes a battery pull required to get it to reboot. Anyone experienced this?
Seems to happen indoors when the subject is fairly close, darker conditions.
Not sure if this is a hardware or software problem - I really don't want to return it
Try turning off geotagging.
Thanks, I tried that, then turning off gps, then turning off location, same problem every time.
I find that turning off mobile data, and even leaving all of the above on, stops the problem. Or, leaving data on but turning off the flash. Data + flash = crash...!
Still not sure if this is software related? I guess so?

Hmm. Since it's correlated with the flash, and few if any others have complained about this I'd guess HW, but who knows. I'd probably do a factory reset, and if that didn't fix it get a replacement.
Has anyone found a solution to this problem? Same thing happens to my phone.
This was posted when the phone first came out. Probably in the early threads. That was one of the first things I checked when I got my Sensation. I don't know if there was a solution other than swapping - but do a search in the forum because it was covered. Hope there was a solution for you.
Same thing happens here, Revo HD.
MEETOO
At first I just waited and it would restart THEN...
Had to pull battery and it would restart THEN...
When it restarted only a speckled screen followed by home screen THEN...
Only speckled screen THEN...
Nothing but the vibration when trying to restart THEN...
A replacement is being shipped after a trip to the T-Mobile store.
Initially I called T-Mobile and they told me the UPDATE would solve my problem but as the day progressed it was all down hill.
During the course of the sales person ordering me a new phone they automatically added a protection plan without my knowledge.

Hey guys, kinda run into a problem i have never had with my billions of android phones. Yesterday i ran into a problem when i was coming home from school, My wifi nor bluetooth could turn on, when i hit the button to turn either on, it stays on the "On" switch for a good 5 seconds. my moto x 2013 (4.4.4) was kinda also running hot and the battery drained super fast that day (Also My facebook messenger app used 150mb that day, i only Recived one message without responding :V), i let it sit on charge for maybe an hour and i was able to turn the stuff back on eventually, now today its happened once again and makes my Smart watch useless when there's no Bluetooth :v Any help? i have read that it might be a modem problem and all i would need to do is flash one but im on stock not rooted :v verizon 4.4.4 cant be rooted at this moment.
i think i might have solved it, i saw in another thread that recently they are having the problems as well and i have seemed to maybe fix my problem with what they did, if you have some sort of flashlight app, Delete it and reboot, my bluetooth and wifi was about to be used again, ill report back to see if it happens again.

in mos cases i've encountered, its some battery or connectivity manager that's the root cause. in other cases, its just a lagging device thing. You can read how to fix an Android phone whose WI-FI or Bluetooth wont turn on for more insigt on the causes of this issue

Yeah at noon today I got the problem again, I'll check your thread
Hello,
I have a problem with my both Mate 9 devices.
The Mate 9 lost for a second the connection to the WiFi.
I have this problem onlny in my WiFi.
Other devices works fine (Pixel Xl, Iphone, Samsung Tab S).
Have someone a tip ?
Can you explain more about your problem? What happens when you turn wifi on? Does it just turn off after a few seconds?
Have you tried a soft reset?
Sent from my MHA-L09 using Tapatalk
I'll hijack this thread with my issue I guess. I have a mate 9 about 3 months old. After a period of time, WiFi will drop, but I can't actually switch WiFi off, the toggle is just frozen. It feels like a frozen process because other things can't close after this. I also can't reboot the phone normally using the menu when holding the power button. I just get the symbol for 'busy'. I have to hard reboot my phone, hold up volume and power.
I'd love to see if a fix could be done without needing to take the phone back as I don't have a spare phone atm so taking it back for warranty stuff is bit of a problem. Lots of thanks to anyone who has read this, and huge amount if anyone knows of a possible fix.
First, back up everything with HiSuite and do a factory reset. It seems like a software issue but hard to say. If it's still there, it might be a hardware issue, which would have to be done through warranty. If you're a bit more advanced you can wipe everything out and flash fresh update files from Huawei and start completely from scratch. All the info about doing that is on this forum. If a factory reset fixes it, you should consider unlocking the bootloader, rooting, and disabling all the bloatware that Huawei puts on there as I'm sure it would cause lag and issues like that after some time.

If the wifi signal is very weak, it will change to mobile aggressively if the option Wi-Fi+ is selected. I'm not sure if the other Android devices have this or not.

Dear waz i am with you on this. I tried to hard reset and reflash the rom. When i uninstall play service updates i dont see wifi issue again but then most of the apps do not run. And when i let it update itself allof a sudden i start having issues wiht my wifi connection and i cannot even restart it because it gets frozen. What rom are you uskng?
Hi. As I mentioned in the PM reply, I did a factory reset as deleting "a few apps" didn't help with the problem. So I'll know more in 2 or 3 days if no issues occur or not. Hoping it's fixed
Well, a factory reset has got it working fine again. I haven't had the WiFi drop for the past 2 or 3 days since the reset. Looks like it was software influenced indeed, sweet!
When I tap the WiFi toggle option, either from top menu or from the settings, it refuses to turn on. It is the exact problem being shown in the video I've attached at the bottom of this post.
Details:
- The phone is Mate 9 (MHA-AL00).
- I can't claim warranty.
- I've tried wiping the cache in recovery mode.

This is really strange. Today morning when I tried to turn on the WiFi, it just turned on as if nothing had happened. Really strange.
So weird issue.
Check whether you have some special network management app installed on your device which would block the WLAN feature.
Anyone found a solution here
Hello,
For 2 days now, I have exactly the same issue with wifi and Bluetooth. As soon I switch them on, they get switched off instantly.
I have tried to reboot, safe mode, cache wipe, full factory wipe, but no results. This happened a month ago but came back to normal by itself. But this time it won't.
I contacted Huawei, they told me that my phone comes from China, where they have only one year warrenty, so they cannot it fix it in France even if we have 2 years warrenty here! Super!
Do you have any idea or tutorial on how to purchase and change the wifi/Bluetooth antenna?
Thank you for your help.
Great I'm on a MHA-L29C567 (US) model and as of about a month ago the same thing started happening me. I thought at first it was a radio update and reset the entire device back to stock but now the device is doing the same thing and worse now randomly reboots.
Really frustrating because I really love the phone but for the rear color camera focus sticking and this issue now. Looks like I may need to abandon the phone.
Your motherboard is crapping out, there is no other fix but a board replacement.
