Is that it cant turn off or you dont know how to turn it off? press the power button for a while it should turn of eventually, and when is turn off try to hold down volume and power at the same time to go to recovery, if nothing happens, well, use a kdz file is your best option if it goes into download mode

Can't enter download mode on T-Mobile LG G2 with stock 4.4.2

Hey,
I'm trying to root my T-Mobile LG G2 with stock 4.4.2, but the it just refuses to enter download mode. I've tried the standard method of entering download mode (powering down the phone, holding down the volume button, plugging in the USB cable from my computer), but only the LG logo appears on screen, then the battery percentage appears on screen, and then the phone begins to charge. I've tried using different USB cables and different PCs, but nothing seems to work.
Is there anything I'm doing wrong here? Any extra steps that need to be taken?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Try holding up and power and let go of power when the logo shows then push the and hold power again.

Do you mean hold power and volume up, plug phone in, let go of power and keep holding volume up, and then hold power and volume up again? I tried that, and the LG logo splashes on screen, disappears, splashes again, and then the screen goes black and the LED notification light blinks red. It doesn't pulse, like when it's charging, but it blinks a steady beat. It stops blinking and the phone boots up when I let go of the power and volume up buttons...

When I went into download mode, I only held the Volume Up button and plugged in the USB to the pc. I didn't hold power.
Same problem here ! Recieved d802 v20f OTA and after the update my phones refuses to entering download mode.

I'm on rooted 20e with custom recovery and I entered download mode no problem. Make sure you're pressing only the Volume Up button when plugging in the USB connected to the computer and hold it until you enter download mode.

I'm having the same problem with my LG G2, I can't get into download mode. I've tried holding the power up button and plugging in a USB cable but my phone shows the LG logo and then starts charging the battery, I'm on stock rom, 4.4.2, no custom recovery. Is there a fix for this?
I had a similar problem with my T-Mobile LG G2 where I was rooted and accepted an OTA. It broke root and I couldn't get IOroot or Stumproot to work. Went to flash a downgrade and found the phone wouldn't go into download mode. It was NOT bricked. I finally tried playing around with the LG Mobile Support Tool (B2CAppSetup.exe). Of course it detected that my phone already had the latest firmware from T-Mobile, but then I clicked Options>Upgrade Recovery.
It downloaded for a while then I noticed it had put my phone into download mode (it said "Rooted" in red letters at the bottom). Then it flashed the same firmware over and I immediately tested, it entered download mode right away. But I didn't end up needing that as Stumproot was able to brute force it now after the recovery flash.
Anyway, I couldn't find an answer anywhere else. Most results also have a bricked phone, but that wasn't my issue. This solved my problem and maybe it could work for others.

After clicking Options>Upgrade Recovery it said "No upgrade items to fix." Thank you all for what you do at XDA.

So this program no longer works and I'm having the same problem. I tried to do this with the LG suit which replaced lg mobile support. It just keeps saying I'm already on the latest firmware. Can anyone help?

Verizon LG G2 (VS980) Rooted then...

I was successful in rooting then attempted to install TWRP. The phone turned off then turned on with the "android open stomach and !" icon... it shut off a few mins later.
Now, all I get is the buzz when you power it on and a black screen. Im not able to enter the recovery mode using any combination of buttons.
LG Mobile Support Tool nor my computer will even recognize the device. Am I truly bricked beyond repair?

[Q] LG G2 Soft Brick after OTA...Help?

Just took the Lollipop OTA update from stock 4.4.2. Upon completion my phone rebooted and is stuck on the LG boot logo. I tried entering download mode (holding volume up button and plugging phone into computer) but my phone doesn't enter it. Attempting to power off the phone doesn't work either, since the phone just powers off for a second and turns back on to the boot logo. I tried factory reset (power + volume down) and after proceeding with the reset the phone is still stuck on boot logo. What should I do?

You can power off if you hold power button longer. wait till logo appears, and still hold, till it gone away second time, and hold even a little longer.
Turns off but still stuck at logo when turned on

[Completed] soft bricked phone help!

hi, i have a moto x 2013, xt 1053. i think it is currently soft bricked. when i try to turn the phone on, it goes to the boot screen with the motorola logo, and gets stuck at the screen where the globe is spinning around. then it restarts or powers off. this first started when i was playing a game called plague inc, the phone crashed and turned off suddenly, and developed this issue after. i have tried holding down the power and volume buttons and wiping the cache in the menu there, and also a one click unbrick software my friend sent to me. both do not work. my phone is not recognized by my computer when i plug it in. i think the android version was kitkat. please help! thanks in advance.
