Hey everyone,
I have a big problem that any help would be appreciated. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and i had the unfortunate event of having the screen break so now it is completely black. All functions of the phone still work, but I sadly cant see anything. What I need is a way to enable USB Debugging without actually having to see the screen so I can take the files from the internal storage. If you have any suggestions please let me know, thanks!

Thanks for using XDA Assist Its difficult task to enable something without display its better you take that to service center and tell them to backup your phone before repair and pass the copy of it

Hey guys i work at a sprint store and was wondering if there was any way to retrieve data or anything from a destroyed phone? The mobo is good and the internal memory is good but the housing is broken and the screen is just destroyed beyond all recovery. Is there anything through adb or anyother way to get this information off the device. It does connect and is recognized on the computer but it isn't in mass storage mode and there is no way for me to get past the unlock screen. The customer doesnt remember if they had a password set on the lock screen or not at the time of the destruction. This would really help the customer out and would help me to better understand and help others when this happens. Thanks in advance guys.
Okay, so the age old problem where you drop your device and the screen wont work anymore has happened to me.
The device still turns on and functions, but all I can see is a black screen.
I have USB debugging etc turned on and titanium backup will run at and backup everything one of these days based on the schedule, but what I was wondering is there any way for me to emulate the screen onto my laptop?
I had heard there is, how ever my device has a pattern lock, that I can't input given the touchscreen doesnt work.
I was hoping someone here may have some ideas?
I can install apps through the google play store - the wireless is on and connected and can reset the device etc, how ever anything beyond that I'm unsure of. As I said, if anyone knows of something so I can make sure I retrieve all my data off my phone, that would be amazing.
The phone is a samsung galaxy s3 running temasek's UNOFFICIAL CM11 BUILD v 161.1.

Have you tried using adb to pull your files?
When you say your screen is broken, do you mean it doesn't display and touch isn't working? Or is screen not displaying but touch is working?
If you're unsure, try seeing if you can tell whether touch is doing what it is supposed to be doing but just can't see it. Devices in that state can still be worked with to pull data by finding and looking at screenshots of what you'd be selecting and using the screenshots to guide you where to touch to get to where you can connect to PC and transfer.

I have a hard bricked Samsung Galaxy s2 sph-d710 running jellybean 4.1.2 unrooted that had very important notes on it. I want to recover these notes but the device will not power on. The blue light comes on and stays on but nothing else happens. It goes no further than this but it can charge. It is not a battery issue as I have tried several batteries in it and no button combinations work. It cannot get into download mode and a usb jig did not work.
I NEED the notes off of the device and need for someone to suggest a company or method to retrieve them. I am not worried about repairing the device, just getting my old data back. I wish the internal memory card could be transfered to a new device! Is there anyone I can send my phone to that i can trust? Is there anyone here who could retrieve the data? Thank you.
Just repair the hardware and backup your file via adb

Hello! I've never used any kind of community like this, so maybe this is in the wrong section, but needless to say I need help. I've had a broken Galaxy S6 for two years, and I needed to recover my photos and stuff, but I had no luck since the digitizer didn't work and LCD was whacked, I had USB debugging turned off and couldn't do much. So now I've fixed the LCD and phone works just fine. But I forgot my pattern lock. Now I've got 2 more attempts before the phone resets. Now I can reset it and use it just fine, but if there's any hope for retrieving the pictures and app info stored in the phone, I'd very much appreciate it. Couldn't find answers on reddit, dr fone didn't work, and now I'm here. If someone is able to help me here, I'll gladly pay. I've got the Samsung Cloud account, but stupid mf's deleted my info because I didn't log in in 12 months, so no luck. So I need help retrieving the data inside. Will provide any proof that the phone is mine, just ask me. USB Debugging is turned off, and phone isn't rooted.
