Just wondering, since the battery is easily replaced on the note pro.. How hard would a Qi hack be?

Anyone having trouble wireless charging on N4?
when I place my N4 on lumia 920 Qi Wireless charging Plate or Maxwell Qi Wireless plate, it will displaying charging then not charging.
I thought I can use any Qi Wireless charger to charge my N4 but doesnt seem so on my case.
Any Suggestion?
No problem on my lg charger. Check to see if NFC is on, on your phone.

People have reported this as well with the lumia wireless charger..

Also keep in mind once the battery reaches 100%, the pad will stop charging until the phone reaches a certain point. Where the LG and I think the Engergizer/Maxell ones re-start charging when phone reaches 95%.
Also with the Lumia charger, there have been reports that this pad needs a power cycle then it will work. Meaning it's like putting a pencil in an old school carburetor to get it to start. I personally have the LG and Energizer pads and both work.

I have both the LG charger and the Lumia charger. The LG one works perfectly, but the Lumia one just charges on and off repeatedly. No matter the position, I couldn't get the Lumia charger to work with the N4.

not even going to go there. i guess if you need something in a pinch...
the lumia charger runs at like 300ma or maybe its 500. but i think its 300. plain and simple... that is not enough. the people that have zero issues are running qi chargers at 1000ma.
Does anybody know if the Nokia Qi Charger DT-601 for Lumia 920 works with the Nexus 4?
I read something, that cheaper Qi chargers have no trickle charging, which is quite essential if you dont want to kill the battery.
Nokia chargers aren't really cheap but Qi is Qi so it should work

No, it doesn't really work. Positioning the phone is very difficult since there isn't a magnetic locator in the base. My N4 kept slipping off. Was a total cluster. I sold it and got the official charger and haven't looked back.
Hello, i am new to this forum, seems like the place i need to be.
Ive been just researching tons of stuff about my new LG G3 i bought 2 weeks ago.
I found on this forum things about external batteries like the ZeroLemon which seems awesome except i like the quick circle ( may just cut the circle cover off my current cover and attach it to the ZeroLemon )
But this got me to another thread about wireless charging with a QI wireless charging chip. Now my question is... The chip that is stock on the cover has 2 pins, and id like to know what this chip does compared to the 4 pin chip you'd get with the wireless charging chip. Is the 4 pin the capability to charge with wireless docking stations? I sort of understand how the NFC portion works, is that what the 2 pin chip is for?

The 2 pin back that comes stock is just for NFC. The 4 pin back is for NFC and wireless charging. I personally bought the circle cover and extracted the wireless charging sticker and installed it on the stock plastic back, and it works great. Also, we use PMA not QI wireless charging.
awesome
Glad to know I have a pma and not a qi before I bought anything... Also weird that my first reply is from someone in Boston... Not to far from me...
Thanks again masshole
I know Galaxy S7 have that feature...
QI fast charging seems not to be possible with the V10 (here).
Fast charging via Qi needs special hardware and since you can only buy the QI back as accessory I doubt this will ever be possible with the V10.
Hello,
Buying the 8T in place of the Pixel 5 I knew I had two flaws to cover.
1. The Google Camera which is obviously done by one the many ports out there and
2. The wireless charging.
For the latter, is there a manufacturer who does a Qi adapter to be placed in a specific cover with a carved placing ? That would be it!
Also, I tried a 10W adapter bought on Amazon. It was indeed charging at a 10W "speed" but I couldn't let the phone on the wireless charger the whole night like I was doing with my iPhone Xs. It was buzzing and hot as f***. So I returned it. Maybe a 5W could be better ?
So a software switch could be the thing to disable it. Or a couple made from the adapter and the wireless charger ?
I think all available models are far from what is available when the charging coil is integrated inside the phone.
Any ideas ?
Does my question really interests no other 8T owner..?
