Flashing of Samsung Official ROMS prob - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi. I have a samsung s6 SM-G920F GLB region/CSC. I flashed the XTC csc rom from samsung-updates.com through ODIN 3.10. It was successful but when it rebooted, i can still see the bootscreen for the GLB version. when i checked in the recovery, it still says GLB for the csc. The reason i was flashing the XTC rom is to remove the bootscreen and other apps that came with it. I wiped/factory reset the phone through the recovery and rebooted but its still the same. I've used this method with my other samsung phones (GT-I9300) and this worked but on my S6 it doesn't. can anyone help me?
Thanks

I found the solution...after flashing the ROM. i changed it manually by using *#272*imei#. It worked. now i don't have the bloatwares and bootscreen from my network CSC. I am free...
Hope this can help others.

How do you Change CSC without Root

I currently have Galaxy S6 G920FD. I prevously I am on 5.0.2 with CSC:GLB (Countryhilippines, Network:Globe). I successfuly flashed the French 5.1.1 ROM. Now I flashed back to my native Globe 5.1.1. Problem is the CSC is Thailand and not Globe. How do I change the CSC without root? Tried going to Recovery mode doing full cache wipe and full reset but still it sets the Thailand CSC. Thank you very much.

Anyway to change/pick csc

I have a VOD Uk device I flashed to BTU so it was unbranded. With the MM coming out I plugged into smartswitch to change back. All went fine however it selects SIM csc and not VOD as it is a multi csc. Now I can't use wifi calling with this csc. In tried multiple flashes and wiping cache and resets. I've even gone to the XEF rom and back and still get SIM csc when i flash it.
Is there any way of selecting the correct csc or editing the firmware without tripping Knox to just install the VOD csc.
Many thanks for your help.
I would also like to know if this can be done.:good:

I'm hoping there is a bug in smartswitch in relation to the Voda firmware as other country's like Voda Germany are restoring and getting SIM csc as well not the one specified in the restor
Smartswitch won't let me restore either, it give an error saying sm-g920f not compatible :crying:.
any of you folks got anywhere with this issue? I'm still stuck on SIM

Samsung S6 G920-F (unlocked) marshmallow Odin flash

Hello guys,
Wich firmware from the list below can I flash it to my G920-F (Unlocked),I'm tired of waiting for OTA update in Romania.
Galaxy S6 (SM-G920F) - (6.0.1) - Austria(3)
Galaxy S6 (SM-G920F) - (6.0.1) - AMO
Galaxy S6 (SM-G920F) - (6.0.1) - France(XEF)
Thank you ! :good:
France xef. If you dont have access to imei via *#06# wipe data cache from recovery. Enjoy
Any unbranded. Also make sure that You flash 6.x.x bootloader first if You're going to flash custom rom. And if not then just flash any unbranded rom from sammobile through odin 10.7.1 .
When I dial *#06# my IMEI appears on the screen, should I avoid flashing XEF or should I go with it ?

Go with it. I have no idea why he told You to check imei. Anyway. Like I said any unbranded will be just fine. You can flash XEF if You want but it doesn't really matter. I had French builds , russian builds, uk builds etc. So download XEF or UK non branded and enjoy
any way to flash 920f on 920i? any work around or something
tired of waiting!
Thank you guys,I know any unbranded rom works no matter the country, but I was not sure what XEF (France) means.
I the past I flashed UK lollipop rom to my S4.
I will flash France XEF on my S6 and I will post back.
Warranty will be voided ?
I flashed this firmware on my galaxy S6 G920-F and everything works fine,I'm glad I don't have to wait for OTA update in Romania.
I gotta say, this is the best OS from android yet, smooth, fast and stylish !
If some of you guys don't want to wait for OTA updates in your country, flash the XEF version (Unbranded) and everything is good to go !

Hi mate
That is not that ease because of the multi csc firmwares read here
What phone do you have?
Try flashing android n fw and add singapore csc.
I hp was sg also XD waiting for public release
you should be able to change the CSC by booting into recovery and doing a factory reset this will set it to the default rom's csc.

Serious connection problems with SM-G920f

Hi everybody, I do not know if there is some discussion open yet but I can not speak and write so much in English.
I come to the problem already written on the SAMSUNG ASSISTENZA forums without solving anything, the only solution to bring it into service.
Ok I have a Samsung S6 SM-G920F which now works only with 2g network, with 3g and 4g network does not work, has field but does not surf.
These tests have been carried out:
Tested SIM sim card on another phone works.
Try other cards on my phone do not work.
Done Update ITV has solved nothing.
Tried other roms I now have French Android firmware 7.0 (I've read that many have solved) flashing and hard reset all the same problem.
I have no root.
Other evidence, removed the board inserted another card nothing.
Changed APN manually.
Restore Factory Settings.
Restore network settings.
The problem has never been resolved.
Here you are a lot better in the world, maybe you know how to do it and thank you.
Sorry for my English but I used Google Translate
Did you tried to flash only modem...?
Maybe that can solve the problem, not shure....!
And better to flash the stock rom that device had when you bought it

Ok....
Last time try this
1. Wipe everything
2. Flash via latest Odin stock last BTU or DBT 6.0.1 firmware
3. Wipe again and restart

Ok ok, understand, perfect.
I noticed unpacking the firmware ITV Italia no brands that until December had a modem, modem.bin then in the next releases the modem has always been updated, since December I got the problems.
As you said you might be the file modem.bin thread that does not work well.
I tried with Odin 3.12.3 to mount the only modem.bin file in CP .... just do not install me Odin is stuck before downloading it on the phone.
Do you know how to do it and why do not you install me?
I'll try to do this and then if it's okay I'll go to the Firmware BTU or DBT .... I think the modem is the problem too because the rest of the phone works and goes only in 2G/Edge
Thanks !!!!!!!!!!!!
Ciao vforvlive
Then I tried how you said to wipe ... install the DBT 6.0.1 firmware of the latest in germany and then wipe again nothing works .... only working with 2g network.
I just noticed that H + just keeps the uploaded arrow down there is virtually no data exchange.
I also tried to put the modem.bin file when my phone worked with odin not installing me.
It's absurd I changed 20 firmware nothing ever does the same thing.
It is not even the antenna or some other thing because in 2g it normally works it obviously travels like a snail.
