CSC Help needed for SIN firmware, unable to use samsungpay as CSC constantly THL - Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions and Answers

Help guys I recently downloaded s7 nougat Beta but I flashed the UK CSC and now I can't use SPay. I was orignally on a Singapore CSC but now when I roll back to MM, my CSC stays at Thailand . I know it's a multi CSC issue, is there anyway I can use Samsung pay again? I'm not rooted and never tripped Knox. Or do I have to send it to the Samsung service centre to fix it? i need my to have samsung pay SG again . is there anyway at all to have a singapore CSC again? i tried smartswitch and it did not work.

Have you tried "emergency software recovery and initialisation" through smart switch?

Hi mate
That is not that ease because of the multi csc firmwares read here
What phone do you have?

Try flashing android n fw and add singapore csc.
I hp was sg also XD waiting for public release

you should be able to change the CSC by booting into recovery and doing a factory reset this will set it to the default rom's csc.

[Q] Firmware change unsuccessful

I bought my S6 in Colombia although I live in Panama. It is the SM-G920I.
I found that a Panama app I wanted to install would not install because it said the country was wrong. I guess that may be something to do with the CSC. I had naively assumed the phones in Colombia would be the same as the phones available in Panama. I now see from Sammobile that there are different firmwares for Colombia and Panama. So I downloaded the Panama firmware and installed it with Odin. Odin did its stuff and said that the installation was successful. Both firmwares are 5.0.2.
However, when the phone rebooted it was exactly the same as before and PhoneInfo still shows it as having the Colombian firmware. The only change was that I lost my Pingpong root.
Sorry for the long explanation but what have I done wrong? How can I get the Panama firmware on the phone?
TIA

You Need to download another firmware, i recommend to you to download the Trinidad And Tobago firmware, i tell you because latin america has csc codes for many countries but if your country does not have csc code it sets to latin american firmware because of your EFS Folder, if it doesnt work to you please download a firmware from France or Spain. if you doesnt want to lose pingpong root do not upgrade to a kernel made after 15 May 2015
Please do not upgrate to 5.1.1 Firmware it Sucks

Thanks. I will give that a try. Would it be the CSC that is stopping the app I want from installing, saying it is the wrong country?
If so, is there an easier why just to change the CSC? I have done some searching but everything I've found seems to be quite old and probably not working for Lollipop.

Try this to change your csc code:
1. type in the dialer *#06#, copy ur IMEI
2. type in the dialer *#272*IMEI HERE and add a #
IT WILL WIPE YOUR DATA

Thanks but that doesn't work. I get Unknown Application. I think that doesn't work on the S6. I also tried using Phone Info to change the CSC but that also doesn't seem to be compatible with the S6 even though it shows my firmware is multi-CSC.

Sorry but what do you mean do not let to install csc files? I did stop Odin auto-rebooting and went to recovery but that didn't seem to help. How do I stop it installing the wrong CSC files?
If I was willing to lose warranty now, would installing TWRP and maybe a custom ROM make it easier to change the CSC?
Thanks.

I am stuck in BNG csc code and i cant change it because i need to Trip KNOX, but i changed my csc code From ING to BNG.
- When odin finish flashing if Auto-Reboot option is ticked, your samsung will reboot and it shows a Android robot instaling something and later says Erasing... you cant let this happen, untick auto reboot and you need to reboot your galaxy in recovery mode and it will show CSC Check Failed and you have to wipe data and shutdown your device and enter in download mode and reflash the firmware. It worked for me.
if you trip knox and you install twrp it will be easier because you can install a custom rom and change your csc code rooted.

Thanks for all the advice. I am away for a few days so cannot risk reflashing my phone until I get back home. Will try again then.

Anyway to change/pick csc

I have a VOD Uk device I flashed to BTU so it was unbranded. With the MM coming out I plugged into smartswitch to change back. All went fine however it selects SIM csc and not VOD as it is a multi csc. Now I can't use wifi calling with this csc. In tried multiple flashes and wiping cache and resets. I've even gone to the XEF rom and back and still get SIM csc when i flash it.
Is there any way of selecting the correct csc or editing the firmware without tripping Knox to just install the VOD csc.
Many thanks for your help.
I would also like to know if this can be done.:good:

I'm hoping there is a bug in smartswitch in relation to the Voda firmware as other country's like Voda Germany are restoring and getting SIM csc as well not the one specified in the restor
Smartswitch won't let me restore either, it give an error saying sm-g920f not compatible :crying:.
any of you folks got anywhere with this issue? I'm still stuck on SIM

Problem with changing rom

Hello everyone.
I have a problem after changing software.
The factory software my phone was 5.1.1 Italy (vodafon) OMN, I decided to upgrade to version 5.1.1 BTU, so far so good.
But when I want to go back to the 5.1.1 Italy (Vodafone) the CSC Country was changed to SIM/Slovenia.
What should I do to change in Italy/OMN, What software should you download from sammobile?
Flash Italy firmware and do a hard reset

Hi,
The CSC doesn't matter regarding the system itself, it's just the "location" of your device. If you want to have the Italy CSC back though, just flash a firmware from Italy, just like you did with the BTU. I think you can find it in the SamMobile website.
I don't believe that using Smart Switch/Kies will solve your problem, since I believe it'll flash back the stock from your current CSC, which is SIM/Slovenia right?

I installed via odin version 6.0.1 Italian OMN but remains csc SIM / Slovenia.
What else should I do;
I always do before and after the installation, factory data reset,

Samsung Pay / Android Pay no longer available for latest stock firmware (ARO)?

Hello fellas,
I have just flashed latest stock firmware, and couldn't help noticing there was no Samsung Pay or Android Pay app.
When attempting to access both items through Google Play Store, it says my device is not compatible with the version available. How come this is possible? I can't think that the S7 has been outed of Samsung Pay, there has to be something else.
Could it be a problem with the CSC? My region code is ARO (Argentina Unbranded), but after checking the app Phone Info, I have realized that the CSC Installed belongs to TTT (Trinidad y Tobago) and not my region. This always happen when flashing CSC, since it's a multi-CSC, it randomly selects a region. If anyone knows a way of flashing the proper CSC through ODIN, that would be awesome.
Thanks!

Download the firmware you want, extract BL , CP and AP , now download the firmware for you country /carrier , extract from it the CSC file
not home_csc , and flash the BL , CP, AP from the first firmware with the CSC from your country
BAckup this will factory reset your phone

Thanks for replying.
The firmware I want is the one that comes with the ARO package, the problem is that such package also includes a multi-country CSC. Among those there is this ARO region I'm needing. My device is Unbranded, I won't install a CSC from a carrier.
Also, I don't have root and I'm not planning to have it either.

Hi
Sorry I read your first post again
Samsung Pay will not work again after you root your phone , if knox is set 0x1 there is no chance to make it work
Android pay is possible if knox is set but firmware is official ( no root) and if the flashed firmware (CSC) has that option
Is ARO part of the multi CSC you flashed with TTT?
You need a CSC that has Android pay , do you remember what CSC you had when it worked?

BTU (UK) i think it works , if your carrier at home offers the service you can flash any unbranded firmware (BL, CP andAP) with the CSC from your carrier
That way you can have unbranded firmware plus you carrier CSC

Yes it does, but some additional kernel modifications are still required for Knox to work. So stock firmware isn't fooled. Most custom s7 kernels have them though.

CSC Changing Help

I have the G955FD on the BRI (Taiwan) firmware. I live in Australia, and really want to use Samsung pay. How should I change my CSC from BRI to XSA? I've seen varying information here and on other sites. I want to keep my Google Play as Certified, still have OTAs and without tripping KNOX. Essentially like a standard phone from this region. I don't particularly care about Dual-SIM, but it'd be nice to still have.
Here is my current software information: imgur(dot)com/a/197z5 <-- I can't post links yet, remove this if not allowed.
Thanks for helping

Hi mate
Without root there are not many options ..
First F and FD firmwares are compatibles ( same device!! exynos to exynos) , you can flash an F firmware into an FD or vice versa
you could try to change your CSC to your SIM card CSC first
Check here
On the thread it shows how to add your SIM CSC to your current CSC config , if it work you may end up with a configuration like BRI/BRI/XSA , in my case I got TPA/TPA/PCW , TPA was the software default and PCW sims CSC. I do not have Samsung pay so i do not know if that change will be enough to make it work. Back up you need to factory reset for this.
The other option is to flash a full XSA firmware ( use a G955F firmware) , read here how to do it
BACK UP before you do anything

Thank you very much! I'm now running XSA/XSA/XSA with a flash. Dual-SIM support is still there which surprised me. There were some issues with Odin, but I fixed them up after a while.

Great news mate!!
Firmware is 100% same for F and FD so you should not see any difference at all , I asume also you got Samsung Pay working.
Good job!
I did the same when I had s8+. flashed TEL (Telstra) SM-G955F firmware which I got off Sammobile and worked like a treat. Samsung pay, VoLTE, Wifi Calling, Spam detection in calls worked as well.
I upgraded to S9+ and tried to do the same. The flash process works fine but CSC doesn't change. I am stuck on AFG CSC. Apparently it cant be done on S9 as Samsung is imposing multi CSC format.
Well, you are lucky one to have S8+. Enjoy

That's unfortunate
I'm curious why you flashed TEL instead of XSA, XSA is the unlocked version and it still has WiFi calling, VoLTE etc. I have an ALDImobile SIM (which uses Telstra) but I installed the unlocked version to have minimal bloatware and the stock boot logo.

I tried both. First preference is always XSA but I tried TEL in anticipation that it may work
