[Completed] [Q] Can Somebody Please Help My With My HTC One (M7) - XDA Assist

Okay so I love my HTC One but..... A while ago out of the blue, It started acting funny. The operating system (Android Revolution at the time) started to stop working. I'd never had any troubles with Android Revolution until then. So I decided to re flash the OS, which was a really bad idea. I made a TWRP backup before I started anything, like I usually do. I was planning on doing a full system wipe for a clean install so I needed to move the backup off the device. That's when I found out that the USB wasn't working so I ended up moving the backup via wifi. So I gave the phone a full wipe and started installing my OS again (A newer version of Android Revolution). It definitely wasn't corrupt, I checked the Md5 sum. From there it refused to install so I gave up gave it all another wipe and I tried to put the old backup back on but I couldn't. That's where I'm at now and have been the last month or two.
Current State:
Able to access bootloader and recovery only
Nothing on the device's storage
Only Charging while off
Not recognized by my computer (ADB and Fastboot)
Not able to mount USB OTG in TWRP
Not able to mount system in TWRP
What I have Tried:
Different USBs
Just about every different driver I can find
Different ADB and Fastboot versions
Different computers
Device Information:
M7_UL
S-ON
HBOOT-1.56.0000
RADIO-4A.17.3250.14
OpenDSP-v32.120.274.0909
Recovery - TWRP v2.6.3.3
I've been looking all over the internet for a solution but I can't find anything to help me fix this.

[Completed] Tablet Starts But Shows Only Splash Screen

I tried to install unofficial cwm for my tablet cause it is chinese or something and it failed,i backed up the stock recovery in internal memory before doing it but forgot to copy from the device to my pc now i flash different recoveries and none works, btw when it starts i hear the usb from my pc working which mean it might start on fastboot,i wan't to ask if:
1)There is any way i can access the internal memory through fastboot so i can get the original recovery and install it.
2)If someone here has a backup of the recovery (The model is eStar IPS Quad Core 7' tablet).
3)If there's an unofficial cwm that works with tablets like the one i have.
Thanks, and please even if you are not sure just answer i want to save it cause i bought it yesterday
Unless you can find stock firmware, and flash the recovery. You may wish to ask in the thread that you found the recovery (if the thread was meant for your device). I was unable to find anything about your device on XDA
I can only suggest you register and ask your question here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2259645

[Completed] How to restore Android System on Micromax A120?

The story starts when I installed KingRoot and successfully rooted my device. Then I went on experimenting and childishly played around and uninstalled some system apps. But when I saw that my device's many functionalities stopped working, I thought of replacing the official android with a custom rom. I installed the CWM recovery successfully using Flashify, placed the zip file in the internal drive, formatted and cleaned up everything as directed by the web, and flashed the custom rom. But then the rom doesn't boot! Stuck at the boot logo. There is no backup for me to restore and I've tried several custom roms with no effect, it just doesn't go beyond the boot logo.
I am on Linux Mint machine, researched a lot but couldn't find a way to restore my system using fastboot, sptools (with wine), flashtool,, whatever, it's been all a headache. I even tried the SPTool on my friend's Windows 8 pc, but couldn't setup the driver thing I guess, and it couldn't work. I'm fed up with it all. Can some calm and expert person give me a very novice step by step guide on restoring my phone's working condition. A guide for my Linux Mint machine would be most preferable, however if it's for a Windows PC, it would do as well. Thank you.

[Completed] HTC One M8 - Bootloop / TWRP unable to mount '/data'

So here's a short story.
Ordered Unlocked HTC M8 from China. It arrived and worked but was missing the update option and was stuck on 4.4.4.
Found out the MID was Verizon's 20000
Got Verizon image which worked, which locked the phones SIM card and branded everything Verizon.
I wanted to get the Developer version, so I changed my phones MID to 12000 and tried a few images. None worked, but now the phone is boot looped and nothing works.
Tried to load the Verizon image back on, but now I cannot because MID is wrong. Can't change the MID because I only have access to fastboot and I need ADB.
Tried using TWRP to flash other images, but every ROM requires a format. The format fails TWRP unable to mount '/data'
The most promising one so far was SkyDragon's, but got "set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed" error on the Aroma installation.
I have literally spent the last week and a half stressing out and trying to get this phone working. I've never flashed a phone before and it's been a complete ****.
If I can at least get the MID back to 20000 I can flash the Verizon image back on it and send it back to the seller.
I've tried googling the issue, but every single tutorial I've found is full of dead links or incompatible ROMs.
Phone is HTC M8. Phone is Unlocked. Fastboot works and I have TWRP recovery installed.
I am at my wits end. Please help.
Tried Format option under TWRP.
Phone plugged into my PC at the time and tried to mount every possible drive letter.
Phone now appears to be off and isn't responding at all.
Plugging it back in just causes it to try and mount every letter again.
How screwed am I?

[Completed] Galaxy S3 SGH-i747 - Boot loop - tricky situation(hooking up to pc not an option)

Hi thanks for reading not sure if this is the correct place to post. I'm rather lost on my options and fear that I've essentially totaled my phone.
USB isn't recognized(yes I've updated drivers and confirmed my cord allows data transfer and tried with usb debugging on and off), this is a hand-me-down phone I received rooted, attempted to apply Cyanomod (successful but got the No SIM issue even though I could call and receive texts no data though) proceeded to follow http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1831898
However after installing the latest modem my phone went into soft brick - boot looping.
I then decided to wipe Cache - D.Cache - system - Data. After doing this over and over I accidentally wiped internal data as well (fixed this issue by buying a micro SD card today) So now I got all my .zips and roms back where I can still flash.
Still in a boot loop and have read that maybe my recovery (TWRP) could be the cause of this, seeing how I've basically wiped everything multiple times to try and get to the bottom of this.
Is there anyway I can use the Command Terminal IN TWRP to flash a newer version of TWRP ( because I had not used the latest TWRP )
If so can you please give me the command line in which I could use the .img of twrp-3.0.2-0-d2att.img and when going into the Command Terminal at what level should I select?
I really can NOT afford another phone atm and I'm very gracious for any help. I've watched and read many useless videos/articles over the last few days and can't seem to find a video that would involve not using a PC to use Odin.
P.S. - I'm also prepared to go back to stock everything if that's what's called for atm but first this boot loop is the issue. Thanks in advance.

[Completed] Help needed with a soft bricked tablet..please!

Hi, I acquired a tablet off my mate a couple of week ago, which he was throwing away because it wouldn't get off the android screen..So I set my self a challenge to get the thing going again Having not got any experience in this sort of field & finding out the tablet is Chinese I knew it could be a big task with little resources, though keen to educate myself! Anyway I set out on this educational journey a couple of week ago & researched into the task ahead. Now I've hit a brick wall & need pointing in the right direction if anybody can help!
Here's what's happened.
I could open the stock recovery
connected to laptop & after installing drivers, ADB etc I could connect through ADB
Tried to boot into fastboot & it just does a normal boot!
Managed to find a rom which I thought would work & flashed it via a CWM sideload recovery!
Great piece of kit it worked a treat alongside the stock recovery!
now it worked though the touchscreen didn't, so I restored a backup from the CWM recovery maker & viola back to where I started
Then I found a TWRP version that I thought would work - so I flashed that!
Now it boots in TWRP though the touchscreen doesn't work & that's not good with TWRP
It can still connect in recovery to ADB
I can push & pull files & ADB shell
I've come to the conclusion that the only way I could get back to where I started, at least is by somehow making a fresh rom from the CWM backup I have or flash the firmware which booted up. (bearing in mind I omitted the recovery image from the build when I flashed)
Now the only way around this (from what info I've gathered) is to use a shell script which will make TWRP automatically read my update.zip what I've pushed over to the sdcard then flash on reboot..
I've found this
(google) shell-script-to-reboot-into-recovery-and-install
I've copied the script into an editor (on my phone - I've got a windows computer) saved as .sh, pushed into sdcard on tablet & tried to execute.
adb shell says
# /sdcard/myscript.sh: line 3: reboot: not found
Could anyone help me on my quest?
I've got nowt to lose & I'm quite enjoying the experience
Thanks in advance!!
