Hi All, am a new member to this website. I've been reading all the threads related to my device (Xperia Ion Lt28h) and actually installed a custom ROM for the same for the first time. The ROM i chose was http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2616450. It is actually cool to use. I have the kitkat feel in my phone but lately I've been experiencing some issues with the ROM. I tried to reply in the same thread but the usual 'New members with less than 10 posts' thing popped up. So i couldn't find any other way to ask someone regarding the issues that am facing. As am new to this , i may know how to contact someone or how to post it in a efficient way, if there are some, please let me know. If not, the below are the problems am facing and am seeking all the seniors help to solve it.
1) Sometimes, when am getting a call, phone rings, vibrates but the screen is still in standby mode and it takes around 5-10 seconds to see the caller info. This happens in 70% cases.
2) Camera doesn't work properly. In JB holding up and down the volume button zooms the camera but here it is taking picture. Also i searched if there is any option to zoom, i couldn't find it.
3) Some of the applications doesn't work. For Ex, Super beam is not working, as soon as i scan the QR code from other mobile to receive a file, my phone gets hang and gets restarted.
4) HDMI is not working, which was working in JB.
All these are the issues am facing. Please help me.
Hi! I manually installed the Android 5.0 update by unlocking the bootloader and manually pushing the files onto my Nexus 5. Everything is working fine but since I installed it, it noticed that when I plug my cellphone and the screen goes off, the phone is acting really strangely. The screen keeps on flickering, the shutting down screen sound plays in loop, my wallpaper goes back to the factory one, and my phone is unusable. The weird part is that when I unplug it, it goes back to normal, except the wallpaper that does not go back to the one I chose.
Any ideas why it's doing this? Before that, I did not have any problem whatsoever.
Thanks a lot for your help!
The problem is exposed here: https://code.google.com/p/android-developer-preview/issues/detail?id=82
It was an issue on the preview build with French France... Google fixed it. However they didn't fix it for French Canada.
The workaround is to set the os language to US English or French France.. And wait for a fix from google
Thank you! It works now!
Hello,
Anyone else experienced this?
When receiving a call, my phone only vibrates once. Ringtone is still there. I'm using LG's QuickCover for Nexus 5.
Is there a way to solve this?
Same here. It's horrible because the phone only vibrates one...
NEXUS % - ANDROID L
I have quick cover too. I was trying call without this cover and vibrate was working. When I closed the phone, vibrate worked as you described...
So it's a bug with the OFFICIAL cover?! I have receiver OTA yesterday and i discover that bug, the battery drains quickly and the lockscreen created by user preferences just disappeared as the silent mode... Common Google what is this?! Please fix that!
Yes, official cover.. Its a pity.. I really do miss a lot of calls because of that bug..

I hope Google fix that mess...
Same thing here, but for me it only occurs sometimes.
Noticed it the first time today after flashing the factory image from release day.
Also with the quick cover...
Same problem for me
I'm having the same problem with my Nexus 5 w/quick cover. With the cover on, my phone will only vibrate once for incoming calls when set to vibrate. If I remove the cover the phone will continue to vibrate when receiving an incoming call. GOOGLE, PLEASE FIX THIS BUG.!

Hi guys. Could this be your problem? I was having same issue too.
Search on YouTube: My Google Nexus 5 is Not Vibrating - HOW TO FIX IT
Problem still not fixed after 5.1 update
Issue still in 5.1.1
Installed smart vibtrator and that seems to work..
Short vibrate with LG Quick Cover
I've created this tool to fix the issue on my nexus 5:
play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.koradesktop.mylongvibrator&hl=en
hy guys
>so when i take/get a phone call my display stays black when i remove it from my ear for at least 5 seconds even pressing the power button doesnt wake it up
im on stock 6.0 but i also got that problem on cm12,1
just wanna know if someone of you got the same problem :silly:
I read in various other topics that this seems to be a 6.0 bug that google has to fix in a future update.
I have been experiencing this also. Hopefully Google fixes it soon (by soon I mean soon, not Google soon).
I also have this problem, but for long calls. Haven't noticed it before 6.0
Hello everyone,
after (I think) last rom update on my AC2003 12/256GB (now I'm to Oxygen OS 11.1.4.4.AC01BA) I noticed that often the smartphone goes automatically in vibration mode, EVEN in the slide switch is kept in ringtone mode (first lowe position).. so several time, when it happes before to answering a call, I cannot hear any sound due to this behaviour..
Anyone had some experience in this issue? And there's a way to fix without coming back to an old rom version as well?
Thanks in advance.
EDIT:
It was a buggy version of Truecaller app causing the issue, after an update, now all is working properly again.
