guys i just install mokee release 5.1.1,full wipe and everthing seems to be working,when i installoptimus kernel on the rom..the rom stuck in bootloop,so i long press to go to recovery..then i cant see recovery..when i boot to bootloader,i cant see bootloader to...? but it detect in adb...so what i did i just when to stock from the begining..just the same blank recovery and bootloader...try to flash bootloader and recovery just the same...Help would be needed here

i can only boot a rom when i choose the recovery option from the bootloader. its the newest possible bootloader.1.14.005 i think.if i want to install a rom i have to go to the bootloader, then install open recovery with fastboot then reboot the bootloader , then reboot to the newly installed recovery wipe everything , install the rom, power off.boot into bootloader load the kernel with fastboot, then restart the bootloader an then if i want to boot in to the rom its just stays on the logo with the red warning, so i taught its a brick but then went to bootloder and chose recovery - this way is boooting the rom.
Please could someone explain it to me - is that the way to do it for now???
Tried to install open recovery from goo manager its says installed but its not, still boots the rom instead.
It sounds like you're flashing the boot image into your recovery partition instead of into your boot partition.

Hello! I unlocked bootloader succesfully, flashed philz recovery and everything was ok until i flashed latest CM snapshot (previously was on stock vanilla). Now im stuck at google logo and cant do anything! Anyone got any idea whats going on?
P.S. It seems i cant get into recovery, tried holding the power button, but phone just tries rebooting. Same for holding Volumeup+down+power...

I'm guessing you didn't wipe everything before flashing CM??
1. Switch off your phone completely.
2. Hold down Power+Vol. Down till you enter the bootloader.
3. Go to recovery and wipe everything(system, data, cache, dalvic)
4. Flash the the rom.zip and gapps.zip and reboot!

I'm trying to install a cm rom in my xt926, I have the bootloader and, aparently, I can flash properly the custom recovery, but when I try to reboot onto recovery it doesn't work, shows the motorola logo and, after 1 or 2 minutes, reboot normally, and I can´t enter the recovery to flash the cm rom... Anyone can help me? I don't know what else to do... A lot of thanks.

Is your bootloader unlocked? If it is and you can really flash recovery while in fastboot mode - what do you do after that? Reboot the phone into Android and then try to reboot into recovery? If you're doing that, then that's the problem.
You need to reboot to recovery straight from fastboot, otherwise the stock system deletes the custom recovery. When you flash the recovery - unplug the cable and just press the power button once and the phone will turn off. Then hold Volume UP + Power and the boot menu will show up and then you select recovery and you should be good to go

I've found the solution! I've flashed the wrong recovery. My stock rom is kit kat 4.4.2, this recovery works very fine

Hi , I have rooted my xperia L and unlocked its bootloader. However when I tried to install a custom recovery, it keeps failing. I have tried both cwm and twrp. For cwm there is no official support so I tried using a custom but it couldn't read it .
For twrp , even though the device shows up in the twrp app , its unable to flash the recovery. it says :
flashing recovery was unsuccessful. Either you already have this recovery installed or another error has occurred. Would you like to attempt rebooting now?
My goal is to install a custom rom on my phone. Can anyone please tell me how to move formward from here ?

You must be on the latest stock firmware.

And to replay number #46 and download the attached file.
Extract the the file in your computer and open the cmd in the folder by pressing shift+LMB and write the code:

fastboot flash boot boot.img
important:connect your phone to the computer in fastboot before pressing Enter, by holding the vol+ and connect it.
Now you can press entre you have now CWM recovery .
Boot to recovery and flash the rom you want.
Note: this recovery is for installing ROMs so if you want to use it with stock ROM so don't use it because it will stop the WiFi .
So just install it and directly install the ROM to have the wifi worked.

do I still have to use cwm rom manager? Because I tried that and it says it can't access the server.

No there's no need.
After you done flashing your phone reboot it ,it will show you a led on Sony logo ,when you see this led keep pressing down button until it reboots to recovery .

Quick question after flashing the rom , should I wipe the cache and delvvik AGAIN before flashing gapps ?
It depends on the ROM .
For example: CM 12 you mustn't flash gapps after flashing The rom, you must reboot to the ROM and then install a new recovery and then install the gapps.
In general I suggest to make factory reset before and after installing a ROM.
Hey guys... i've been trying to put a custom rom on this old p5113.... i've tried flashing latest TWRP on it with odin which odin claims its successful, but when i reboot the device and try to go into recovery i get back the original samsung recovery.... it's almost like it overwrites recovery at boot... i've read number of guides on this but i seem to be following the same steps they're suggesting.... am i missing anything obvious? from my understanding it's a straight up odin flash on custom recovery and then just use that to wipe/format and install rom + gapps.
Any ideas?

how are you doing it exactly, do you unplug the usb cable just as you see its "passed" with green status? or let it reboot itself? or are you rebooting it yourself? usually it will reboot itself into the recovery after it is successful, sometimes it goes to the system directly, generally the idea is to get into the recovery mode as soon as you flash it through odin. you should not let it boot and go to system( means don't let it start your rom, no samsung logo instead go to recovery first by pressing your volume up with power button. (if it's not going directly into recovery)
