[Q] Some clarifications required regd Mi4 - Xiaomi Mi 4

I'm planning to buy 64GB Xiaomi Mi4 64GB version at INR 22000. I know Xiaomi has poor after sales services, but i have some doubts regarding its heating, which many people point out.
How hot does it go?? I'm currently a Nexus 4 user. My N4 also heats up quite a bit while using 3G, charging + 3G browsing, gaming + 3G....
Check this screenshot to get an idea. It was taken just after playing Clash of clans for 10-15min in 3G

Currently my phone's battery is at 41.3 C, with thermal readings between 56-63C........... I'm browsing internet in 3G with phone charging via USB
Can someone please post the temp of Xiaomi Mi4 under load?? CPUz shot would be better
Any other things you wanna point out about Mi4 would be appreciated, thanks :good:

This was after about 10min of browsing and watching YouTube on 4G. No games installed but it hasn't ever got really hot. Hope this helps!
Edit: got up to 38.7° after 15min of playing Ball King.

I guess heating won't be a issue for N4 users shifting to Mi4

Recommend a Verizon phone for me....

Hi all,
Thinking of picking up a used phone to replace my girlfriend's battered and bruised handset, she is on Verizon.
Here's the usage...
- Heavy texting so needs a HW qwerty Keyboard.
- Tough - she can kill technology from 30ft with mind bullets
- Web browser, something actually usable like Opera would be great
- Camera
- Storage & player for music and 3.5mm jack for headphones
Thanks for any suggestions.
Go for Touch Pro 2
no 3.5mm jack but an adapter can be used

She'll kill that thing in seconds, I have a Touch Pro and I have to keep it away from her lol. She drops her phone on average once a day I think he he he.

maybe then something without a touchscreen as dropping touchscreen phones is a big killer

Low battery capacity

Hello XDA, This is my first post here .
As you see by the title my phone's battery is worse. I'm using an Alcatel OT idol x+ (6043D) And the manufacturer says that my battery is 2500 mAh , and it's written on the battery.
[i wanted to put an image here but since im new]
But I just downloaded cpu-z and it says that my battery has only 1000 mAh ?! I wanna know if it's true but i can't.
[still cant put images]
Is this true? The phone is 1 month old... . Yesterday i had problems with the youtube app not loading videos (there was a problem while playing) so i tried cleaning cache , but nothing happened. And i ended up reverting it to the stock v5 and the problem was fixed. However i noticed that after watching videos for straight 20min i drained the battery.........
Please help!
I'm using TWRP 2.6.3.0 with stock rom 4.2.2 (rooted) .

Hm... I also have battery problems with my Nexus7, gonna try this cpu-z app to check it out.
Thanks!

[Q] Anyone getting high CPU load when watching Youtube?

I love this phone right now, but it does have a few issues (atleast my current device). I'll post up the other issues in a thread after.
But I noticed my GS7 getting pretty warm while watching a live steaming video using the Youtube app. Now, I came from a GS6, but it never got this warm while watching a live steaming video. Here's some interesting numbers between the two:
CPU Load while watching Youtube (screenshot below):
GS7 = 10-20% (15% avg) @ 100°F
GS6 = around 5% avg.

So I wanted to see if its just me or if others are experiencing this. I have the T-Mobile US version (so Qualcomm 820). I have to send this device to Samsung in a few days though because of screen issues (top 1/3 of the screen is slightly more greyish/greyish-pink/slightly dimmer than the rest of the screen below. Plus it has slight "black crush". You can check this with the Greyscale screen test (Dark order tests portion) in the AnTuTu app. But my GS6 that I still have with me currently does a bit better in the Greyscale test than the GS7.
Hmm mine does too

Android Slow LTE - 18Mbps Down but 42Mbps up??

I have a Samsung S8 Active and I'm getting incredible upload speeds but average download.
I'm on the largest and fastest mobile carrier here in Australia, anyone got any ideas what might be causing this? Always thought DL should be the same or faster than UL?

Weird thing is you can see the download speed spikes quite high, then it just plummets.
On a similar issue in a different location I had my mate who is on the same network carrier sit next to me at a shop. We both ran a speedtest, he has a Google Pixel 2 (on specs the phones are almost identical, mine should be slightly faster). His hit 100Mbps+ for download while mine only hit 52Mbps.
double-post
So just to bump I've discovered that Carrier Aggregation is enabled on the Samsung G892A but it never connects it is always showing in the Service menu as CA: Not-Config so it is enabled but not connected even though the local carrier allows CA/VoLTE/VoWifi.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to get these working?

Question Massive frame rate reduction

Hi Guys, I've always preferred custom ROMs over the skinned and usually bloated flavours of Android and have used many custom ROMs over the years, the vast majority of which have yielded good results. This is my first delve into the world of budget handsets. My OP6T was getting a bit long in the tooth so when I saw the specs of the X3 pro I decided to jump in feet first. My first impressions of MIUI left a lot to be desired so as usual I've went the custom ROM route which is where I've noticed the problem. I've flashed most of the AOSP ROMs available but they all seem to make my games stutter with a big drop in frame rate after like 10 minutes of play. This doesn't happen when I run with MIUI... anyone got any ideas how to fix the issue in the AOSP ROMs? Thanks in advance.
