You may use LastPass on any app for fingerprint authentication. It requires subscription though, but S6 users get a free subscription for a limited time.

Hi. It's not working for me too. It says unable to register your fingerprint at this time.

did anyone ever find a fix for this??

This worked for me after I uninstalled PayPal (that I had gotten from Galaxy Store) and reinstalled it (from galaxy store).
fyi

I get a system error when registering the fingerprint. May someone help, please?

yes this is what I get as well...
has this been resolved yet?

Thanks for the tip, the option really appears, but I am only getting errors in PayPal
"try again later... "

Due to using a custom kernel I am getting the finger print bind failure. I am guessing it is a security feature for safety. Has anyone found how to fix this? (Play version and Galaxy app version).

Thanks

Has anyone found a solution for this?

Funny thing for me is that the Paypal fingerprint login works on my non-rooted S6, but it does not work on my Galaxy Tab S where the Paypal fingerprint NNL NokNok login feature was natively installed on the Tab S out of the box.

I'm getting the same issue on my Verizon Galaxy S7 Edge with Android Marshmallow...

[Q] Google Play Store Problem ?? [Solved][Mods Please Close This Thread]

Hello,
I am having a problem with Play Store (Market) from 3-4 days. When i click on the Google Play icon, it gives me 'Server Error - Retry'. Upon doing some search here and there, i found out that i am not the one having this problem and some people already have fixed it themselves by using Market Enabler App.
So here is the real deal. When i fake a provider using the market enabler app, and then try to open the Play Store, i can access the store !! But when i try to download anything, It Says "This Item Cannot Be installed in your country - Ok"
I have tried every possible solution and to check how legitimate this error is, i even tried apps from Indian developers.. but still no luck.
can someone help me fixing this problem ??
This problem is happening to all my friends with HTC (desire hd, evo3d, etc), i myself have SGS2 and its just fine. Its really terrible, wtf is google doing
yea i just ran into this problem on evo3d
This problem is not happening with me.

Try this easy fix
Hi,
Did you try to kill the market/play store app, clear cache and data, and then go and clear Download Manager cache and data, restart phone and try again?
I had the same problem and only this in that sequence helped me. Everything works great for me since then.
I have tried everything !! nothing seems to work !!! I am tired of this error. i'll wait for it to be fix if it is a server error in real. I'll give my feedback in 2 days n tell you if it resolved for me.

Use Market Unlocker apk
Change your Country to United States Of America!
You WONT get free paid apps or anything.
It just changes the Market's Server.
Try it and it should work for you!

It should have worked but i have already fixed the problem. Thanks for the suggestion though my friend
Here is what i did -
1. Wipe Data and Factory Reset. It removed all the accounts and play store data along with all the apps.
2. Added alternative google account. The account that was not intended to use with this phone.
3. Installed market enabler (from apk) and then fake a provider from US (T-Mobile) and DID NOT click on "Save Current Settings" and closed the app. This got me the access to store but still "this item cannot be installed in your country" error.
4. Added the account i intend to use with this phone.
5. Opened up Play Store > Menu > Accounts and then selected the account i added later. This solved the downloading error and everything was working fine.
However, there was still a major problem, the currency was not in rupees and i might not have been able to purchase any app from the store. I simply Opened the Market Enabler App and Clicked on Restore Settings (Thats why i didn't click on save current settings) and the currency and my provider went back to original.
Anyways, thanks to all who suggested me solution for my problem

Verizon disables PayPal fingerprint payment

Can anyone confirm this?
http://www.techtimes.com/articles/5517/20140413/verizon-disables-paypal-fingerprint-payment-support-in-addition-to-download-booster-in-samsung-galaxy-s5.htm
This is now working, follow the directions in THIS POST
Where did you get the source?
Um, from the link I posted? Here's another, mentioned from the previous link.
http://www.droid-life.com/2014/04/11/verizon-disabled-paypal-fingerprint-support-on-the-galaxy-s5-google-wallet-works-though/
Well - I downloaded and installed just to see. The only log in options are "Email and Password" or "Mobile phone and PIN". I don't see fingerprint as an option anywhere....
It has apparently been hacked, so perhaps for the better.

Yes. you are right.
From 3 days ago..
PayPal announced that its fingerprint-based authentication system was live in 25 countries. Users will be able to authenticate their digital purchases on PayPal by swiping down on the home button. The idea is a novel way of extending the functionality offered by the fingerprint sensor. However, it looks like all carriers are not going to have this feature enabled. Droid-Life discovered that the PayPal authentication feature was disabled in Verizon’s version of the Galaxy S5. It is unclear as to why Verizon would disable this functionality, given that it is the only carrier who seems to have removed this feature. users trying to install a fingerrint-based authentication client on Verizon’s Galaxy S5 are being shown a message that says “this application will not work on your device.”"
Accessing the stock "Samsung Apps" through the "Galaxy App" widget directs to a completely different, unsearchable store. Why why why Samsung? See Attached screenshots (one searchable, one not)
To clarify the steps that I used to install Paypal, and link fingerprinter verification to it,
1> To get an actual searchable Samsung App Store, download the "Samsung Apps Mobile" from the phone via www.samsungapps.com or HERE (This BS is what was holding me up)
2> Install the PayPal app via the Samsung App Store (first uninstall the Paypal app if previously installed via Google Play Store)
3> Search and install NNL from the Samsung App Store
4> Open Paypal>Settings>Login Options>Register Fingerprint.
Not sure if this is going to work, but here are some backup .apk's I just made from my phone, and put em on Google Drive.
Searchable Samsung App Store APK
PayPal App from the Samsung Apps Store
Nok Nok NNL app
Great... Step by step. It's succeed.. :good::good:
Just got done doing this. I can confirm this worked on my Verizon s5! Thanks!
Did NNL find a way around it not working or did Verizon change their minds?

I wouldn't hold your breath on getting an explanation as to why it seemed clearly being blocked before, but a work around is now available. I never personally observed an active blocking to install the NNL app as documented on several sites, I simply wasn't able to search for the app that ties the fingerprint function to Paypal, and by the time I found the NNL app in the Samsung App store(not found in Google Play Store), I ran into no problems installing it.
Yes it works perfectly.
Can anyone post the apk of the PayPal app and nnl app of the

Open either of the links this post, FROM YOUR PHONE, and you'll be directed to where you can install the Samsung Apps store. Then from that installed Samsung App Store, you'll be able to search for both Paypal and NNL, and install the apps. Both apps need to be installed from the Samsung store, NOT Google Play.
Or if you prefer, HERE is a link to the Samsung App Store apk on my Google Drive. You may need to enable "unknown sources" in Settings>Security first.

Your best bet would be to peruse the TMobile S5 threads, and find someone willing to backup the apk from their rooted S5, and see if you can download and install it. If you can, I'm sure many more would be grateful if you can then post a link over here too. Thanks
I updated the install instructions post HERE. I was able to create installable backup apk's from my Verizon phone of the apps needed, and host em on Google Drive.
Thanks
So T-Mobile S5 is rooted? And why we are not?
Worked!
This worked. Thanks!
Thank you! Works great.

Samsung gear app store paid apps for non Samsung phone

I managed to purchase some watch faces that were previously not available to non Samsung devices. Have Samsung note allowed those with non Samsung phones to buy apps?
I had to register a credit card with them, but it was easy.
Using lion gate watch face at the moment, was £0.98
Seems like a good news for non-Samsung users Which phone are you using?
Seeing paid apps in the gear app store on my LG V10 and have access to prevously bought stuff as well.
Edit: Tested purchasing as well and worked fine.

Were you able to able to register your credit card on Gear App itself or did you have to do it somewhere else online?
I have it paired with a Huawei Mate 7 and can only see free apps with no apparent option to add any credit card details.
Thanks.

I managed to register with the Samsung gear app store via the app. Didn't have to register anywhere else.
I had to do it on my computer. I kept getting error messages on the phone.
In my case it never asks for a credit card. I have even tried creating a new account on a PC. It must be geo locked or something of the sort.

Can you download the gear manager in playstore? In my case it started working with payed apps as i could download the gear manager from playstore. As long i used the app offered here in forum i only got free apps.
Sadly there are still free apps i can't see in store, like ntv, kommot or golfcard.

Hi Javan, I always downloaded the gear manager app from the play store. In the meantime I finally got a reply from Samsung and they basically said that paid apps are not supported in my country (Malta).
My problem is that I don't know at which stage this "country check" takes place.
1) Is it when I am creating the Samsung account? In this case I would be able to use a VPN workaround when creating a new account.
2) Is it when I download the Samsung gear app from the Play store? In this case I will need to root my phone and use a market unlocker.
3) Is it when I am accessing the Tizen store? In this case I have no idea ... it would be too cumbersome to workaround this [emoji22]
One way or another there has to be a workaround, I just want to avoid rooting the phone as much as possible.
If anyone has any ideas or managed to access paid apps in the store from a non-supported country, I would be forever grateful if you can share your solution.

I don't have issues with Good lock and I am not from any of those countries. The trick is to REMOVE the SIM from the phone. Clear the cache of your Galaxy Store. Connect to a VPN and open the Galaxy Store again. You should now be able to download Good Lock and set it up. Reinsert your SIM.

P40 Pro - Some Apps don't work as expected.

Hello to every one. I have the P40 Pro, the latest version up to date. EMUI 12. I have installed google play services and everything seems to be working exept google pay. When i download the app, then i open it and it says that "google pay is updating right now so you won't be able to access the app" and this dont leave even if you restart the phone. Once i installed my bank app it popped out a notification that says "Update google services", once i did update google maps stopped working. It wont load position or the landscapes. And all google apps dont work. I had to do the whole google play store installation again in order to make it work. I think that if i install google play services that i will be able to use google pay. Even the function that you double press the power button open up curve to pay contactlessly by in the end it dont work. It just open the app showing the nfc icon with the card. Also i found out that it open nfc for just a second and then it turns off automatically. Even if i manually open the nfc i cant pay with curve. Is there any way that i could install an app the allows me to pay with nfc? If i downgrade to EMUI 10 will i be able to use that current google play services version in order to make all apps work. Any ideas of how to solve this?
P.S. Another bank of mine have an app functionality that allows me to play contactlessly. I would like to have an app like a wallet that i could add all my banks, like google pay or curve.
Thanks for stopping by to read

Have you install Curve from the App gallery ?
It will doesn't work if it's installed from other app store ...
I have installed it from App gallery, without to enroll it on wallet, and works fine (on Mate 40 pro, without GMS).

I had my curve app installed from Google Play and then i uninstalled it and installed it from GalleryApp. Now when i double tapp on power button it pop ups curve , turns on NFC for a fraction and then turns off. If i open wallet and then select curve and click on pay NFC stays on. Did not tried it yet. So you only need to unlock phone with open NFC and it works? do i have to go to NFC settings and select anything? Also do i have to open curve app?
In NFC settings you had to set Curve as default app for NFC payments.
Yes, it's working after unlocking the phone (with NFC on).
