I don't know exactly which model will support dual sim. But i know the brands like Huawei, ZTE, Samsung they have a big chance to support dual sim on the phones (but still don't know which model exactly)

Hauwei mate 7 what do u think of this phone?

My Sony C3 supports duel sims and I found it is good to use!

This is my second day with HAM7. I was a hardcore Samsung stickmann for years. For this dual SIM feature I went for the mate 7, from the first time I switched up this phone I found this headset is unique in away. Now I'm more wanting to see the mate 8 than the note 5 :'(
Huawei... strange name with a strong magnet

Dual-Sim SmartPhones - Can it be done on Android?

Hi all,
I currently own a Blackstone and its been pretty good to me over the past year or so. However I have two numbers and I have to carry two phones around with me. I have been looking into dual sim for a couple of days now and all i can seem to find is either dodgy Chinese copies or really old Samsungs.
In the USA a company called General Mobile have made an android phone with dual sim the kernel for it is below:
http://www.generalmobile.com/index.asp?action=Android_Phones/DSTL1_developercenter
Do you think there are guys out there who would be able to get this to work on a HTC Hero, for instance, with a dual sim adaptor? Or does the phone have to have two antennae?
Are any of you guys aware of any dual sim smartphones coming out?
Thanks for your help, Serg

Will Honor 8 and Honor 8 Smart (Indian Version) have dual sim capability?

I can see that Honor 8 has Hybrid SIM slot in all variants released till now.
Will the Indian version of Honor 8 and Honor 8 Smart have capability to accept dual sim?
The reason why I'm interested in knowing this is that Honor 7 has Dual Sim enabled in some variants.
But when it came to Indian Variant, it was having only Single Sim enabled.

Honor 8
L09 and L19 dual sim.
L02, L04 and L14 singel sim.
Differences in hardware.
Sent from my HUAWEI VIE-L29 using XDA Labs
I moved from Honor 7 to Honor 5X due to its dual sim support. If Honor 8 too doesn't have Dual Sim, then i think I should go for better options

Expecting the positive to happen.but my mind says that that it will have only single sim. Waiting for the 12th Oct.
Honor should realize that lot of Indian customers do want dual Sim capabilities

We have shown our dissatisfaction on Honor 7 when it got released with single sim already.
Even though Honor 5X is less powerful than Honor 7, i switched from 7 to 5X bcos of dual sim compatibility. Especially for 3 card slot design.
They need to keep the 3 card slot design in all devices.

From my perspective, all OEMs should make dual sim with sd card expansion, it doesn't hurt anyone plus anyone will have the freedom

The 3 card slot design in Honor 5X can be incorporated in all models I think. That's the best way to reduce the customer dissatisfaction towards the good mobile.
Especially in India, where people are trying JIO 4g network for the first time, they dont want to lose their primary SIM.

No one will lose anything if they added dual-sim and micro sdcard expansion, plus anyone will go with his fav configuration

Are they doing it on purpose?! It's better to provide dual Sim with sd card capability, and everyone will be happy

XZ or XZ dual?

Hello,
Im thinking to get a black Sony XZ either this or next month, the dual version is available with lower price from ebay, while amazon sells with ~US 700 (black color is 630, but no version specified)
but its odd that the dual version 1st came available on ebay (with reasonable price) prior to the single SIM, so in case i miss any details from the spec, are they 2 different phones or they sharing the same firmware except the SIM trays?
is it true that on most cases, the regular version would receive more dev supports than the dual? thank you.
The dual sim version is 64GB while the single sim is 32GB. The USA single sim does not have finger print. All other versions have finger print. I currently have the dual sim version from ebay. It was shipped from Singapore.
I also went for the dual sim version. Firstly because I wanted a dual sim phone and secondly because of the 64gb. I think/hope the dev support will work out fine. At the moment that seems to be developing quite well
wouldn't the dual cause more bugs when developing roms?
another question, if a ROM developer owns a regular version , can he easily dev. another for dual?
I got the dual version for the 64gb storage.
2nd sim is a bonus.
Still waiting for someone to do a dual sim plus microsd hack

Not really, if a developer produces a rom on a regular version, it can be easily patched to a dual sim version.
Simply, You'll just have to flash an extra patch after flashing a custom rom for the XZ Dual.
Also, when developers like @AndroPlus have the dual version, I don't think you need to worry about anything

thanks, it's just that sony devices start from Z5 (which i previously owned) dont seem to have much supports , by this time there are still very limited non-sony based custom ROM being made, if we talking about bug free that's gonna even nail down to only 2~3 roms from the same developer, which is the reason why i sold it last month. But anyway, i still like XZ's design and gonna wait few weeks more to see which version has cheaper price.
A quick question as a future XZ dual owner : how is the battery life? Does it make through a day of mid to heavy usage? Dual sim has any effect on that? Thanks in advance.

Replacement for Nord

Which device should I choose ? Why are there so less roms for new phones and which manufactors allow custom roms ? Budget around 450€/500$ (Europe).
The best option is pixel 6a IMHO

Same answer from me ... Google pixel are vastly superior to any other android phone . When you try one you can't go back . It's the only one on par with an iphone , and it's the only one where you can see that hardware on paper it's nothing compared to perfect hardware + software integration . If you need dual sim maybe nothing phone ? ( Don't even know if it's dual sim) . Now that oneplus is gone , it's the only phone aside google pixel that I would consider . I also tell my customers to buy motorola if they ask for a low budget phone , but don't know how good are the mid range or high end ones . For custom roms the most stable ones are for stock smartphones
