Nokia HS-3W BT Headset + MDA II

Before I bought the Nokia Headset I tested it at the shop and everything seemed to work fine. The MDA found the Nokia ingoing and outgoing calls worked fine.
Back at home I´ve noticed that the Nokia is turned off. Apparently it only accepts itself as connected to the MDA 2 while I am having a call (the Nokia LED is blinking white). The other time it is blinking green which means that it searches for other devices. The instruction says that it turns itself off after 10 minutes if it doesn´t find anything.
Has anybody an advise to fix this problem? Are there any patches? Will there be any patches or updates at all? All the hotlines seem not to know anything. Great product but very bad support.
nokia hs3w
I recently bought the nokia hs3w too and am having the same problem bonding it to my xda2. It keeps shutting off after ten mins. Have you found a solution to the problem yet? Since I went and bought two of the headsets I would be extremely grateful if anyone has a solution. Cheers
HS3W
I have the same problem. It goes to stand mode and you can not reconnect.
Great product but not for the XDAII

Bluetooth Issue with Kia Soul

My Mate 9 refuses to pair with the Bluetooth in my Kia Soul. It works fine with the aftermarket stereo in my Nissan 350z. It works with my Fitbit and with my Vizio Sound bar. It seems to only have an issue with the Kia. Yet the Kia works fine with all of my other phones (Nexus 6, Moto X Pure, ZTE Axon 7)...
So my question is... Should I try to root and install new ROM and hope for better compatibility or does anyone know of a secret for getting the system to fix itself? Is it likely that a factory reset might fix this sort of issue?
Silly question but did you happen to reboot and test again? My aunt has a 2012 Kia Soul and it failed to pair once (same with my wife's Note 4) and a reboot of each device fixed it. Same with our used 2014 Kia Rio.

I did try a reboot and actually even chatted with tech support at Huawei. They seemed to think it was just incompatible. But since you've had similar issues resolved I think I'll try a factory reset when I get home this evening. It's not like it's a ton of work to fix. We have a 2012 Soul, too. Knowing it should work with the car gives me hope.
Best of luck. Let us know if you get it paired up

No dice. Tried a factory reset and it does the same thing. Weird.
I'll set the Kia to "Pair"
I'll open bluetooth settings on the Mate 9.
I select "KIA MOTORS" on the Mate 9.
The Kia says "Phone Paired" or whatever.
Normally at this point, the bluetooth icon would appear on the Kia and a connection would be made.... Instead, no icon.
The Mate 9 says "Pairing..." and it's grayed out as though it's still trying to pair with the Kia.
Eventually the Mate 9 shows "KIA MOTORS" under Available Devices as though it was successfully paired, but it still won't allow me to connect - neither from the phone or from the Kia...
Weird.
Since the Mate 9 pairs with my aftermarket JVC stereo in my 350z, I have to assume the issue is with the Kia stereo... So if I were to return/exchange my Mate 9 it seems likely that the same issue would occur, right?
Guess if I want Bluetooth I'll have to go install an aftermarket stereo.

Yeah I agree it's got to be something with the Kia itself. Just a quick Google search shows that the 2012 is said to have BT issues. I mean you could take it into a local Kia dealer and see what they say? (They'll probably blame the phone lol).

Looking to buy but is there a Bluetooth issue?

Hi all, I'm looking to get this device as a replacement for my Mi 8 which is starting to give me some issues. I was looking at reviews online and saw there may be some Bluetooth connectivity issue with drops outs. Has anyone experienced this? Is this an issue or was it solved? Thanks.

I've used Bluetooth speaker 3 or 4 times for around 2 hours each time (once since I upgraded to Android 10.)
I've not had any issue with Bluetooth personally, but I've only ever connected to the same BT speaker. Obviously I'm not a huge Bluetooth user, so my personal experience will hold less weight than heavier users.

No issues here with headsets, speakers or cars (with/without Android Auto).
SmartWatch,tws no issues...
Left ear bud, Right ear bud, stereo buds, a few different brands of speakers, two cars, Bluetooth controllers and my computer, so far I haven't had any Bluetooth Issues, if I did it was a simple restart that fixed it, but that was a syncing issue with one of my older Bluetooth headphones.
