Before I bought the Nokia Headset I tested it at the shop and everything seemed to work fine. The MDA found the Nokia ingoing and outgoing calls worked fine.
Back at home I´ve noticed that the Nokia is turned off. Apparently it only accepts itself as connected to the MDA 2 while I am having a call (the Nokia LED is blinking white). The other time it is blinking green which means that it searches for other devices. The instruction says that it turns itself off after 10 minutes if it doesn´t find anything.
Has anybody an advise to fix this problem? Are there any patches? Will there be any patches or updates at all? All the hotlines seem not to know anything. Great product but very bad support.
nokia hs3w
I recently bought the nokia hs3w too and am having the same problem bonding it to my xda2. It keeps shutting off after ten mins. Have you found a solution to the problem yet? Since I went and bought two of the headsets I would be extremely grateful if anyone has a solution. Cheers
HS3W
I have the same problem. It goes to stand mode and you can not reconnect.
Great product but not for the XDAII

Hi I am having trouble with this headset not detecting calls coming in or allowing me to switch to it while on calls!
I can use it once after bonding with the phone, and then thats it, it will not work anymore. It does beep if I turn bluetooth on or off on the phone, so it does detect it but it will not recognise calls anymore, unless I turn the headset off completely and On again and reset it and rebond, sometimes just turning it on and off is enough but not always.
Anyone else experience this? or have any ideas that may help?
I am using Rom version 1.72 and the Headset is revision R1B...
I am just not sure whether I should return the Headset or complain to imate?
As you know the XDA II does not support handsfree mode sadly, and if you have your Bluetooth device set to handsfree mode and not headset this causes problems answering your device.
This goes for the use of the bluetooth button with Nokia Cark-91 kits, they can bond, they will allow you to dail out and tranfer the call but answering the call can be tricky even on headset mode
Look at the manual for your HBH-35 and see how to set headset mode.
If you can't set it then I would take it back for a refund.
Look for an alternative headset, you shouldn't have to pay more than £65 in the high street now for a suitable headset.
If you do have problems finding one, I am importing 100 headsets from supplier in far east. These will work with your XDA II gaurenteed... Cost is £35 + P&P ( will ship world wide)
Details:
1. Clear voice, sound volume can be adjusted freely
2. Attractive appearance, many colours for choice
3. Powerful battery, standby time 120 hours and talking time up to 6 hours
4. Three different designs for spare earplug of SPEAKER
5. Light weight, less than 16g
6. Ear-hook can be taken off, without any influence on wearing
7. UK wall charger (like nokia phone charger) & car charger included.
I am looking at combinded USB/car chargers as accessories
Hi
I use an HBH-65 with bluetooth tools, it works really well, I can answer icoming calls and dial the last number from the hedset button.
I tried the HBH-35 before I bought the 65 and it worked perfectly, again using bluetooth tools.
Cheers

I had lots of problems with the Plantronics M3000 doing exactly the same thing on my Ozzie 1.66 Rom XDAII. Now have Hello 2 headset that seems to be working well after a day.
Very comfortable too. At a little over A$130 it seems like good value compared to the other items on sale here.
perhaps anyone else encountered the same issue - i don't know any further with this:
after flashing the o2 xda mini german with the bigstorage rom from: ftp.xda-developers.com/Magician/BigStorage_ROMs/DE_O2_1.12.01.zip
via sd/boot-method the speaker doesn't seem to work anymore correct.
it seems like the speaker on the back of the magician is only working when a call comes in, but not for alerts, sounds or a mp3player like mortplayer or wmplayer.
also the speaker and the mic at the front of the mini aren't working.
so i flashed the device again with the original rom, but it isn't working anymore, also not with all the other available roms.
so i tried to adjust the preamp with no success.
let's see if i wake up tomorrow without a bell
I believe you have a hardware problem and has nothing to do with the ROM. There are threads and a PDF file showing how to dismantle and fix the speaker contact.
hmm i don't think so - why should it play the ring sound when someone calls? i also checked if it is the speaker on the back side which is playing the ring sounds - and: yes - it's the one on the back side
No sounds after just 6 months of use on my O2 Xda II mini!
Hi lindsche:
I also have the same problem - no sound coming out of my O2 Xda II mini EXCEPT for the ringtone for incoming calls. I have not installed any new software on my device and I have only had and used this device for 6 months! The only way I can hear anything from the device (including phone conversations) is through the use of the audio ear phones. I have been in contact with O2 Technical Support from the Asia Pacific Region (where my device was purchased) who have been suggesting all kinds of different resets stuff to no avail thus far.
By the way, where is the speaker located on this device??
Any advice would be much appreciated.
yeah, i think its hardware too, i had the same experiance with my wallaby (siemens sx56). The problem was from the audio jack. There is a small switch inside the jack that stuck so the device thinks that you are using handsfree. i tried to plug and unplug it but it make the problem worst. if been looking for the jack parts everywhere but couldnt find one. so when i got my new magician, i always plug and unplug the handsfree very very very carefully.
to upcityhighroller and lindsche: i believe your problem is in your audio jack. if you able to hear the ringtone, but not able to hear phone conversation and other sound, that means your phone thinks you are using the handsfree. best think you can do is check inside the jack with flashlight , make sure its clean and nothing stuck inside.
as per someone else's advice found in this forum, i tapped the device against my palm and the sound came back! i'm very happy EXCEPT now my power button won't work!! my temporary solution is to unlock the buttons so that I can turn on the device using any of the other buttons but now I also have NO other way to shut the device down! (I'm force to wait for 2 minutes of inactivity before it shuts down.)
Any suggestions??
Many thanks!
Not able to pick a phone call using handsfree ear phone.
Hi !
Bought O2 XDA mini, a couple of weeks ago....
I am not able to pick any call when handsfree is connected to O2 mini. I can the hear the ringing tone and listen MP3 too using the handsfree....
I have tried the handsfree on another O2 mini phone and is working absolutely fine...
I called the O2 service center and they asked me to do hard reset....
If it still does not work, they have asked me to give it to service center for repair...
I was wondering if anyone had experienced the same problem... If so, what is the resolution.??
kindly share your views... thanks.

hey i had a simialr problem.......even i hard resetted but the problem persisted.....but when i charged my battery it worked fine...i guess our phone doesnt accept calls if the battery is below 20%
I was desperatly searching the net for a solution and did what you guys were talking about and tried cleaning the headphone jack, i recommend using an air compressor and while u have music playin in media player just gently blow air into the jack, and if that doesn't work try a little more air, the air seemed to clean most of the dust and whatnot that had clogged it, i just had to give it some firm but gentle taps with my palm and and it works fine now. Releived, as i was just about to buy a second hand replacement
Have the same problem with my Mini.
Couldnt hear and be heard during calls, brought the phone to the service center,
they replaced the hardware yet in the end they couldnt figure out whats wrong.
Im using 1.12 right now do you think it would help if i upgrade or downgrade my ROM?
Need your inputs on this guys!
Thanks in advance.
Hi,
after using tomtom for a week, the voice directions began to get very crackly, and then pretty much disappeared. Now, there's no sound at all ... no ring tones etc. I've done a hard rest, but no luck.
Any ideas on what I can do?
Thanks!

i had this happen on my wifes prophet, turns out the headphone jack has some issues on the phone (needs replacing). there is a few threads about it, the one above doesnt help if this is the case.
Had this problem on my XDA neo 3 times and always send it back for repair, after the third time o2 exchanged my neo for a terra (HTC Herald, a Prophet with hardware keyboard)
Hi everyone, I just bought a HTC Car V100 second hand. It should work perfectly the seller said. But I have no manual for it so I can't deal with some things. Someone could tell me where can I download a manual for it? Or someone could load up one? My problem is the phone disconnects the speaker after a few minutes. But just in the car. It seems (for me!) if the wifi is on and searching, disconnects the thing. If it does I have to turn off the bluetooth on the phone turn off the speaker than back again both and than the two thing connect again. Sometimes I have to search with the phone the device and pair them again. But when I tried at home and in work it was on all day and work perfectly! Because is second hand I have no manual for it. I tried to press some buttons on the speaker and now I cant use the voice dialling neither. I don't want to throw in the bin but if I cant work out what is the problem I will. I have a HTC OneS phone and so fare I'm satisfied with the HTC. I would be very pleased if someone could help me to solve this problem. Thx. Peter
Ask Google.
