[Completed] [Q] completely bricked Samsung galaxy tab sch i800 - XDA Assist

when put on charging, the battery logo appears and then gets disappeared ....the whole screen turns off and flash turns on by itself and remains on until removed from charging .
my laptop doesn't recognize it ....i don't even know if its charged coz i think maybe the flashlight takes up everything ...hadn't put it on more than 2.5 hrs coz it gets freakin hot.
i have everything with me :its stock files like factory ,param ,zimage, recovery ,database ,etc and heimdall.
just tell me a way to get it recognized ....even i installed drivers for the tab.
can get it in download mode......
does it needs drivers of its own:fingers-crossed:

Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. I'm not sure if you can recovery it in the state you described. But, when booted into download mode connect it to your pc. Go to device manager on the pc. Do you see an icon with a yellow exclamation mark? If so right click on it and update the driver. Go to where it lets you choose from a list on your computer. Choose the Android adb composite interface. If it works use Odin to flash the stock firmware.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy 5 (GT-I5500) won't connect to PC!

I've tried a few other forums but haven't got any replies, I guess since the Galaxy 5 isn't such a popular device. I figured if there's anyone who can help me they will be here though.
I wanted to put CWM on it so I could get a CM7 port on. Unfortunately it's just about impossible for it to get detected on USB. I've installed Kies (and even the generic USB drivers found in the SDK). In 2 days I only got it to connect once, and then I went and bricked it.
The one time it finally connected I ran Odin and tried loading CWM onto it. It still hadn't finished after half an hour so I figured it ended with an error that was never displayed. So I unplugged it and as expected - brick! I can get into download (upgrade/firmware) mode so I think it can be fixed if I can get CWM on it (and just install the CM7 port I had originally intended to put on).
Problem is I cannot get the darn thing to connect! to my computer I've tried two separate PCs, one running Window 7 x64 and another running XP x32. Is there a a certain process of connecting things? I haven't ran across anyone making mention of one.
Has anyone else experienced USB problems like this with Samsung phones? Would it even be possible to flash CWM on after it's been bricked like this? When I boot (normally) all I get is an image showing a phone and a PC with and exclamation error connecting the two. Please help!
Try to look for stock firmware on the forum.xda-developers.com and flash via ODIN. You need to be able to put the phone into download mode, so maybe get an USB jig. That should do the trick. Odin has to recognize your phone. First of all right click on the ODIN executable and select "Run as administrator" on windows. Plug the phone in the DL mode and wait until it appears as active in Odin. Then flash the ROM and pit file. (Don't use ODIN one click). If ODIN does not recognize your phone try a different USB port or reinstall Kies. The Kies trick was which I used and it was able to recognize my phone.
Thanks, martin0176. I can still manage to get the phone into download mode - it's getting recognized by a PC that's the problem.
Could you tell me more about the pit file? I only have an ops file.
Try a different cable. I was having the same problem on the Samsung Continuum and it turned out that the cable was working for power, but not for data.

Problem during the root of Samsung Galaxy S2

Hi everyone,
I tried to root my Samsung Galaxy following the guide from xda developers (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1056334).
I forgot to enable the USB debugging mode on the device (Settings -> Applications -> Development -> USB debugging)
I started ODIN, then my device rebooted. I started SuperOneClick and I received a message saying "device not found".
Then I went to check the guide, and I saw that I forgot to enable the USB debugging mode on the device (Settings -> Applications -> Development -> USB debugging).
Can anyone help me to fix this?
I'm from Portugal. If I wrote anything wrong sorry for my mistake and for any inconvenience.
Thank you for any help.
Not sure if you're just having problems with Odin recognizing your phone or not but the basics are to ensure you have the phones drivers installed and enable usb debugging. Afterwards you make sure your phone gets recognized fully from your computer once plugging it in. If so you start Odin AND THEN plug in your phone with the directions for getting to download mode (removing battery and holding volume button etc) and in Odin it should show a connection on a com port tile. Then you load up your files and send them. If anything I am sure you just may have a problem by not being in download mode?

Do you have the latest drivers? Have you killed all KIES apps?

I have the latest drivers from my cell phone operator. I can only have access to Kies on my pc (but now, kies doesn't recognize any device plugged to the pc), my phone don't let me gain access to the menu and to any application.
Get into download mode and go into keis and start a firmware upgrade and initialization. (you will need model number and serial number behind the battery) and go through the process it tells u to. Then you will be back to stock, then try to root from there the proper way.

You could find a stock ROM first (depends on where you bought your phone / country, provider) and flash through Odin. Unplug your phone from your PC > task manager > kill all KIES apps > turn on your phone into download mode > open ODIN > connect phone to PC
Then ODIN should show your phone is connected with a yellow box, depending on what ROM you downloaded you put the needed file in the PDA box (file with the name such as I9100XWLP7_I9100XXLPS_I9100XENLP3_HOME.tar.md5), click START and wait until that box goes from yellow to green. Phone should reboot now. If it gets stuck, get into the recovery mode (Vol UP + home + power) and wipe everything.

Flashing Star A2000 phone
Hello friend, you have to use the software SP_Flash_Tool_v1.1110.00 HEREat your computer to flash this phone... Also you need the USB driversHERE for this phone...
You need the phone ROM software for your Star A2000 HERE After downloading this ROM you have to extract it at your PC.Then you have install the drivers when you plug your phone cable to your pc.After that you have to open this SP Flash Tools and click Scatter Loading and locate the extracted ROM Folder and choose Android_scatter.txt After that remove all the "tix" and leave only Android (system.img)to be checked. After that turn your phone off and when you plug the phone cable to your pc you have to press F9 on the computer when this SP_tools is at your active window on your desktop. If everything is fine you have to see in yellow % moving from 0 to 100 %.If not you are not installed usb drivers or the usb com port is different.Try from another usb plug... If you see 100% and then OK and green cirle the phone is flashed.Power on your phone and leave it maybe 10 min. to loading.Hope you understand my bad English.

[Resolved] Allwinner A23 tablet black screen & Unknown Device Error

Hello,
I have this tab for the last 2 years and it was gifted by my friend. The tab was going well until the day I tried to install CWM and it got stuck in the boot logo. I searched the net to find out some way to install the stock firmware via SDCARD and on inserting the sdcard and restarting the tab, there are some vertical colored lines on the screen and the screen was almost white but I could faintly see the boot logo.
I powered off the tab and on restarting it the screen was blank (black screen). I connected the tab to my computer and I see it was showing as unknown device in the device manager. after many search I could not find any proper driver for the tab and it won't recognise the older driver installed in my system.
I have also tried ADB driver search but the ADB tool does not recon my tab either.
Please HELP !!!!

Using Odin to fix bricked Samsung

Hi
I discovered my Samsung S III stuck on the Samsung screen. I have done all that was suggested but still no luck. It was suggested for me to use Odin to flash it with the original Android system. I read the instructions. I am very new to this. I have Kies my computer. When I plug my wifes phone in it sees it when I plug mine in it says installing drivers then fails. Even if I use Odin will the computer recognize my phone or is it a lost cause?
TIA

look up how to put your S3 into download mode and try Odin it should work if you have the current Odin and firmware files ready and correct USB drivers installed. I have a newer Samsung so I only use Odin, but I make sure it's in download mode first...

You must place your phone in download mode, simultaneously press the keys, volume up, home, and on, a screen with the android logo will appear, press the volume key up and enter download mode, then with the odin already open and the File of the original rom loaded, connect the usb cable to your phone and start downloading the rom to the phone .. :good:
The following links is a little Helper with a video on how to enter Download Mode on a Galaxy S3.

Good Luck!
