Microsoft recently launched a hyperlapse app that can create and import existing videos and make hyperlapse videos.
It is still in beta mode and works pretty well. In their latest update they finally added support for Moto X.
Prerequisites
1. Go to the community page on Google plus https://plus.google.com/communities/107281233348849000203
2. Follow the instructions given there.
(i) follow the community
(ii) become a tester by following the link they have given.
(iii) wait for upto 2 hours for the app to be made available to you in the play store.
Enjoy
P.S.: It is still in beta mode so few bugs persist. One of which is that it crashes every time you try to import an existing video.
Edit: update fixed the issue and also if it still happens on your device clear cache for the app.

Hey everyone, just wondering if anyone out there has a previous version of Yatse remote available I can install on my N5.
Briefly, I installed a bunch of updates (about 5) the other day, Yatse being one of them. Since that time I have experienced numerous reboots and boot loops where the only way that to get back into my device has been to clear cache and Dalvik. Yesterday I was unable to get into recovery or fastboot mode at all with the device and it just kept rebooting at Google logo. Since that time I have removed all of the updates and reinstalled one at a time to attempt to figure out what would break it. Yatse is the first app that it began to reboot with so I suspect that the problem lies there however as I can't reproduce the issue reliably or get a log for it yet there's no point in me filing a bug report.
I use Yatse regularly and want to see if downgrading helps. Unfortunately the developer does not have or can't provide a previous version. The version in the play store is 4.1.5 arm v7. I hope this doesn't violate rules. To be clear, I'm just looking for the APK of the last free version, same is available on play store. I purchased the "unlocker" and love the application. Just want to be able to use it/see if it might be the culprit here.

When I open a link on the XDA forums to an app on the Play Store from my browser (Chrome 48.0.2564.95) on my phone (OnePlus One, Omnirom 6.0.1 nightly, BaNkS dynamic GApps), the links do not open in the Play Store app; they open in a new Chrome tab.
E.g. from my phone, if I click this link (Google app on Play Store):
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox,
the link opens in a new tab instead of the Play Store app. Links on other websites work just fine, but through XDA they don't. If I long-press the link on my phone's browser, I see that it is actually a link via an XDA API (a url like *click.xda~.com/api/click?*) that ends up linking you to the Play Store. Note that I don't see the XDA API links from my computer browser (Firefox 44.0), but the actual play.google.com link.
EDIT: the link above does open through play.google.com without the XDA click API on my phone an thus opens in the Play Store app. However, I have an example of a link that always fails me:
The first link in this thread (Cyanogenmod Calculator app) opens the website instead of the app on my phone.
I understand XDA wants to monitor what sites their forums link to, but I don't understand why my phone/browser doesn't end up opening the Play Store app instead of the Play Store website: even the API link should finally be redirected to some url like *play.google.com/store*, which is a link that my phone normally opens in the app instead of the website.
What might be causing this problem? Is this the intended behaviour by the XDA website, or is this a bug? Is there a fix?

Are you having problems with Google Play or anything else related to Google Play? Or are you looking for a way to do a completely fresh install of Gapps? Well, that's where this script comes in.
This script will completely remove Google Play, Google Play Services, and everything else that comes with Gapps. You can also install Gapps using this script (given you supply them).
I have tested this script on my friend's Amazon Fire Tablet and my Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9" and it worked flawlessly on both devices. This should work for any rooted device, though.
Screenshots Posted Below
(In the third and fourth screenshot, it says failed, but that was only because I was using a device that already had the Google Play apps removed.)
DO NOT MODIFY OR REDISTRIBUTE THE SCRIPT WITHOUT MY PERMISSION FIRST!
If you would like to help out with the implementation of a planned feature, or you would like to suggest a feature to implement, please contact me at [email protected]. You will be credited for your work on the feature in this post. Thanks!

That's the main reason I made the script. I was sick and tired of having to go in and manually delete the packages by hand. I'm not sure if I will implement this feature, but I was thinking of updating the script to also reinstall the apps. If I was to do that, though, it would bring up the problem that the variants that I install may not be compatible with the device. I'm just a 16 year old guy with little experience in batch programming, but that's what the Internet's for, right?

I've been part of a closed beta user group helping on an app called Bridge which mirrors your notifications across all your Android devices.
They just rolled out in open beta limited to 5000 users and asked me as a senior member on XDA to assist in getting more users to help test during the beta.
Bridge not only mirrors but also let's you reply, like delete etc. Basically everything as the original notification on your other devices.
They've also implemented two-way sync meaning if you dismiss your notification on one device, it dismisses it on all your devices.
You can read more and download it from here:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xitlabs.bridge
You can report suggestions & bugs directly through the app.
I've been using it for about a month on my tablet and smartwatch (KW88 running full Android 5.1) and it has been working pretty good.
Even though it still has some bugs here and there (which they hope you can help squash), I must say it is pretty convenient getting all my notifications on my watch and tablet.
Below I've copied the main points from their own Play Store listing
? Mirror your notifications to other Android devices
? Reply, Like, Delete etc. directly from another device
? Two-way sync - all your devices interact with each other
? Whitelist - control which apps that can mirror notifications
? Encryption - all data between devices can be encrypted
It offers 14 days trial and costs $1.99 to unlock for life.
The link directly to joining the beta is

Hello,
I would like to try this app, but I cannot install on my smartwatch, while on my phone installation and setup works fine. If I search the app through the play store of the watch it doesn't find it, and if I click on the link it open play store but then it says the app is non existent.
I have a Lemfo Lem8, it isn't compatible then?
Thank you
So the latest PlayStore update has broken the app on Android 12.
On my Pixel 6 Pro it worked fine on previous version but now it freezes on XDA logo and app never loads. Tried clearing cache/data. but no difference.

Same here same phone xda app version 2.15.40 (default settings)
Rooted second November ota
Clearing data lets me relogin but on second launch of app (clear from recents) crashes
For me XDA app stopped working as well 2 days ago, cleared the cache and data as well but no difference.
It lets me login and then when it tries to load it is just force closing.
I saw that I had an update of my Webbrowser DuckDuckGo which I am using so might be that the DuckDuckGo updates forced this issue with the XDA app for me now.
XDA app: 2.15.40
DuckDuckGo: 5.102.2
OOS 11.0.11.11 OxygenOS (Android 11)
Phone: Oneplus 8t
EDIT: OK it works again for me now with the 2.15.38 Version. but the 2.15.40 Version is not working anymore for me.
Hi.
I have the same problem after updating to a12 on my galaxy s21u.
In my case the problem started by changing the theme and color palette.
The weird thing is that in the beta versions of a12 it worked perfectly.
Right now the only solution I found was to install version 2.15.38.
I hope it is resolved soon.

I found that on apkmirror right now (2.15.38)
Will try if that solves the issue.
EDIT: OK it works again for me now with the 2.15.38 Version.
38 works for me too, may try 40 again to get a logcat of it

One ui 3.1.
Xda app version 2.15.40 gplay.
So it looks like it's panning out to some change in the back end that after a few days of the new version it stopped working for many. It doesn't seem tied to any one manufacturer or os level.
I can say that in the days previous to this not opening crash certain ui elements were changed (it started to show a menu bar super imposing over part of a thread if i had thread preview turned off, then a day or so later the crashes began. I.'m going to reload. 40 and see if i can matlog it.

Hi.
Same here.
How can I get the error log only from the xda application?
I don't have root.
Salu2
No idea if this is helpful but it captures the short time of enabling matlog> launching home >launching xda. 40> being kicked back to home (xda crashes) > recent app to matlog > stop matlog
Edit neither xda app nor web will let me post the log, gonna try the computer
edit2 computer same thing can attach file but it doesn't show

Thanks.
I already got the application event log.
I did it with the logcat extreme application giving it permissions by adb.
It's insane to see the error related information at 2.15MB in plain text.
I leave it to the devs of the app solving the problem.
As long as version 38 continues to work properly.
