thanks for the interest,
Strangely, the app isn't easily found in the play store. I'm guessing its not popular enough yet.
The link is under the pictures in the first post.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.varience.triggerlimited
Those with a Samsung device can download Trigger from the Samsung AppStore for the free version without the six gesture limitation.
Trigger just became even better than it already is!
Now introducing 2 New Panels: NotePad Panel, ClipBoard Panel!
Have you ever seen such a clean and beautiful notepad?
Now its easily one gesture away!
One Tip: For those who don't want to always have the Trigger icon on the screen, you can now switch to using Trigger as a Home Launcher.
Double Tap home to launch the gesture field, there's no need to keep the icon on the screen anymore.
Thank you so muck.

It should be in the store, however Samsung Apps is still verifying update v1.5, so it will be a while before v1.7 arrives on there.
:good:excellent app.. long tym user of trigger.. trigger pulling something that separate this app from hundreds of other gesture based Apps.. few suggestions from my point of view.. it will be handful if there is additional pull direction like southeast, northeast, southwest and northwest direction.. And also need additional SPL actions like back button simulation, kill task. kill all task, menu similar to aokp ROMs and lmt launcher app.. ..glad if they make into oncoming update..
Perhaps one of the best apps I've seen in quite a while. Seriously well done, from looking fantastic to being fantastic.
One constructive criticism, perhaps change the gesture panel enabler icon. Or allow us to choose another one. I personally wouldn't mind a simple grey translucent triangle that i could position in the top left corner of the screen. Unobtrusive and not unsightly at all.

Are you talking about the trigger icon?
Changing the appearance is actually a feature of the paid version.

one of the best apps, good job
must admit.. its a brilliant start... testing the app now...
one thing i noticed... If i keep the icon in the corner, like suppose the middle screen right corner then the swipe right option doesnt work..
similarly if its at the edge, like bottom right then the swipe right and swipe down options dont work
keeping the icon in the middle of the screen kinda defeats the purpose of it being unobtrusive .. just an opinion
(im on nova launcher with grid layout set to 6 x 4)

I'm afraid that's not something I can fix if the icon is placed in the corner or sides.
It's a trade off for putting them in certain locations.
Personally I keep mine close to the side, but with enough distance to still activate the actions.
However, maybe the next update will help.
Next update includes pulling the trigger in 8 directions! 4 more quick actions to work with, so it might make putting it to the side or corners more agreeable.

What's the battery drain like on this app? If it runs constantly on top of all apps, must be noticeable?

Barely any battery drain at all. The only part that runs on top off all apps is just the tiny icon. Nothing else runs unless you touch it.
You can think of it as just your app containing one additional image and even if you leave it there, it won't affect the battery.
Unless you choose to change the icon to display the time or battery instead. Then it's more active and might affect the battery a little bit.

Problem with the app
Hallo.
I've bought your app for my Galaxy Note 2.
At the beginning it worked but after few configuration it started to abort and at the moment it is impossible to use it.
Is there any known bug for Note 2?
Is it possible to have a working release?
Thank you.

Hello, I've tried this app, awesome work and it seems to be extremely customizable.
However I can't think of a reason how this app can replace gmd, is it clipboard/note function?
Maybe you can emphasize on the differences to increase appeal of this app

ROTATION MANAGER PREMIUM EDITION
Rotation Manager 3rd Generation is here!
WORKS WITH LOLLIPOP (5.x)
ABOUT
Rotation manager is a tool that lets you choose which application you want to rotate or which one you don't want to rotate. It is a really simple app designed for the least possible power and RAM consumption.
FEATURES
- Force the orientation of each app to your liking.
- Rotate your device freely, without worrying if your apps will change orientation.
- Orientation lock
- Forced Auto option
- Forced inverse portrait/landscape
- App-specific orientation
- Option for permanent notification, called "Permanent Notification mode"
*Premium Version:
- Per App inverse
- Automatic Brightness adjustment
- Automatic Screen timeout
- Automatic Media volume level
HOW TO USE
The floating button is the global orientation for all the apps. It is a 7-state button and gives you all the orientation possibilities. <b>Long click to enter inverse modes.</b> Then you can select from the list for every app your desired orientation. Your selection will override the default global orientation. If you want only two apps to rotate and all the others to stay at their default, just disable global orientation and then select both Portrait and Landscape for the specific app in the list. After you have selected your desired apps, just click on play and your settings will be in effect.
If you want to enable extra features, just click on the 3 dots next to the app's icon and select which features you want to override in each app.
Βy enabling "Permanent Notification mode" from "Preferences" an invisible permanent notification starts which ensures that the service will not be killed by the OS. Enable it if you have low RAM problems and the orientation service stops.

Nice start. I think the interface layout is a bit confusing, but it works.
Feature request: Per app ability to force different rotation locks, e.g. one app force portrait, another force landscape. Obviously this would necessitate a UI rethink.

Thanks for the feedback. The only way of doing this without root permissions is with a permanent notification. We may add that option for those who have such problems.

Yes you can force your orientation preference on any app. For example i set fruit ninja to be only portrait at it worked nice. (Although it sucks that way )

WooW man! Thank you very much. I'll make a reference to your review at the first post.
The review is great! I only have one comment. You say "If Auto-Rotate is On the configuration for each app will be ignored. You can clear all the configuration for each app by tapping on Clear All." Well that is not true. The Auto-Rotate button is System's configuration. It is just a shortcut to that setting. The button that starts our application is the "play" button at the top.
We are still working on the app in order to make it more user friendly, but we are on an exam period right now. So stay tuned...
Thanks again,

Hi, can you add "touchwiz"system app so I can force rotation of home screens on my Samsung S2...and "phone"system app so I can rotate my calls?
With app "ultimate rotation control" i can do this...
Congratulation for your amazing app.
Thank you.
A dashboard that displays current date, time, battery status and level, list of running apps (only rooted!) and list of favorite apps (customizable). It comes with 3 panels: one as described, one for running app list and one for favs. Almost everything is clickable including date, battery, time and icons of running/fav apps.
Originally made for Note Edge but works on other Samsung devices including Note8 and S9.
You need to enable the panel before it appears, see this tutorial.

Changelog:
Updated 10 May 2018 (v0.83):
bug: fixed crash on Android 8 when tapping tasks button
bug: set explicit light color for date/time (some devices would use black and black on black is hard to see)
Updated 2 May 2018 (v0.82):
bug: fixed possible crashes on Android 8
Updated 11 April 2018 (v0.8):
automatic refreshing of task list on the main panel when panel is being shown (can be disabled in prefs)
bug: fixed multiple issues with task list (not refreshing, missing apps when hide-favs pref if set)
minor: "tasks" buttons now call up Samsung's task switcher instead of task manager
minor: new icon
Updated 10 April 2018 (v0.75):
favorites can now be reordered by dragging
added Phone button to main panel (to make up for missing Phone app from favs), can be hidden in prefs
minor: added battery level text to landscape (some people requested it)
minor: added indication to tasks panel if task list is unreadable
minor: hiding Clock/Calendar/Phone apps from task list, if pref "hide favorites from running tasks" is set
Updated 8 April 2018 (v0.7):
Samsung Slook SDK was updated to 1.4.0 which hopefully fixes compatibility issues with recent phones
bug: fixed dispaying non-bitmap app icons (becoming more and more common) - e.g. IMDb
bug: tasks are now started wtih FLAG_ACTIVITY_REORDER_TO_FRONT | Intent.FLAG_ACTIVITY_SINGLE_TOP flags; previously they didn't and this caused new instance to be started even for running tasks (sometimes causing data loss)
minor: tapping on current date now brings up Clock app (with Alarms, Timer, etc.) instead of date/time settings, unless the former is missing
minor: by default, hidetasks preference is false unless the app was made system
minor: added indication if EdgeBoard was made a system app
minor: added link to this XDA thread
Updated 13 May 2015 (v0.6):
fixed landscape not working for all 3 panels
added options to hide tasks or favs from the main panel to give more room to another list
increased spacing between items somewhat
fixed running task list being empty on the main panel
Task list: Android has removed access to running tasks for regular apps since Lollipop (5). However, if your device is rooted then you can make EdgeBoard a system app and this will remove this limitation. How to do that is described in the app's preferences screen. Unless you do that, refresh button won't work and task list will be always empty.
Feature suggestions:
- see why folders don't work
- show status icons like on the statusbar (signal, etc.)
- (automatically refresh task list) - done in 0.8
- (see why Dialer/Phone app isn't available in fav list) - Phone is actually part of Contacts, it's not a separate app with a separate launcher - added button in 0.75
- (drag-reorder favorite items) - done in 0.75
- (horizontal list scrolling in landscape) - wontfix - https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=76190042&postcount=32
Fantastic panel.

This is one of/the only big problem of this panel. I am yet to set up some service or alerter to automatically refresh it. As of now the panel doesn't refresh it at all but you can do that manually by expanding the task list of the panel (click on the "stack" icon above the list) and hitting on the refresh button there.
The panel was just approved on Samsung GALAXY Apps, I will keep it updated there so I recommend you reinstall it from the store and then update it from time to time waiting until I figure how to properly handle the running task list. Other than this the panel is finished.
OK, I noticed another thing, If I swap between two apps calling them from EdgeBoard Preferred panel, they swap slowly than using the normal preferred panel.
I hope I'm clear.
It's like every time I click on icon app on EdgeBoard panel, a new instance is created instead of calling that present in memory.
Nice. Very useful app.
Icons seem a bit close together vertically. Any way to get some more space between them, as I keep hitting the wrong one. Or alternatively make them a bit smaller?
On road map, any plans for folders or drag and drop to reorder icons?
Hey guys, just a quick note. I've got some valuable feedback about this (here and elsewhere), I'm aware of bugs around the task list in latest Galaxy Apps version and I'll be fixing them soon.
@arbit12 I'll add a setting to tweak the look of the main panel including the distance between the icons (I've crammed them together so 5 icons fit but that's probably not everyone's choice).
Updated 13 May 2015 (v0.6):
fixed landscape not working for all 3 panels
added options to hide tasks or favs from the main panel to give more room to another list

fixed running task list being empty on the main panel
Download updated APK from the first post. Samsung Store is being slow so it'll be some time before they roll out the new version.
Great app. Ty for taking the time to do this i appreciate it very much
Re-arrange
Thanks for a great edge panel! Nice work! The only thing i miss is the possibility to re-arrange the icons/programs. I noticed that it might be a future function and I keep my fingers crossed that you have the energy to fix it. But again, thank you!

fundaprob,I wanted to know if you were ccontinuing development on this great project.
I would love to see the issues you outlined addressed and solved.
If you aren't planning on updating it, then is the source code anywhere if one might want to pick it up?
Sorry if these are obvious and dumb, but I really love this panel and I want to have a project to focus my attention on.
Thanks,
Zuffle
HEy, If I have my phone in landscape mode, I can't see my battery percentage...? Please can you fix it?
Hey guys, I'm back.
Nice to see some people are still using my panel. Nobody happened to make an improved version in this entire time?
Great upp idea but the icons looks very small and when i touch one of them some time ti goes to another app
please in next update make icons a bigger in size and wider panel

The panel width is fixed by Samsung, I can't change it. So I can't make icons bigger without cropping them (they're square). That's as much space as I could use.
The app can't pay pass the lock screen and open the app directly you have to unlock the screen manually each time.

This is impossible due to security. If you put file manager on the fav list and somebody gets your locked phone they can pretty much mess it up with that file manager without having to unlock. So Android won't let you do anything except using the camera in a limited way.

It's impossible due to limited screen space. There's the iconic indicator with ~25% step so you can generally get an idea of how drained your battery is.

Yes, yes and probably yes. I'm planning to finish the project by fixing those bugs soon. I'll probably put up the source code as well.
This was a draft project I did in maybe 2 days right after getting hold of my new Edge and I'm surprised nobody made a better version yet (or did someone?), it's simple and essential to Edge if you have a few days on your hands.
EdgeBoard is my new home screen
This app is nice! My home screen now has 3 icons. The ones I use all the time are on EdgeBoard. I'm running Marshmallow on the S6 edge+. The Apps Edge panel has two columns of full size icons. I don't mind the small icons on EdgeBoard. They look better. I have run into a minor issue:
When I edit the EdgeBoard panel settings, should I be able to add apps directly to it? Or can I only show apps on that panel by editing the Favorites panel and enabling "show favs on EdgeBoard"?
Changing the apps (favs) on the EdgeBoard panel is tricky. I have to enable the EdgeBoard Favorites panel, edit it, and then use it to make the changes show up. Then I can disable the Favorites panel and just use the EdgeBoard panel.
Default quick settings not enough for you? Add app links, web links and custom toggles to your quick settings without root (on Android 6.0+, root or ADB permission grant is required on Android 5.0/5.1) using Custom Quick Settings
Please note that some OEMs, such as Samsung, LG and HTC, may disable the use of this app on their firmware. You will need a custom ROM that is based on AOSP (including CyanogenMod) to use this app if that is the case with your device
Features
- Over 40 custom toggles, including screen timeout, adaptive brightness and NFC (NFC requires root or secure setting access)
- Launch apps, shortcuts*, app shortcuts, websites, show app widgets*, automatically click on widgets*, run commands* and launch activities* on click (* requires pro)
- Fully customise tiles with icons, titles, and multiple states, which can be switched between automatically by changes
- (Android 7.0+, secure/root required): Customise your quick settings panel by hiding the brightness slider, changing the tile count (when collapsed) and disabling animations
- (Android 5.0 only, root/secure required): Rearrange and delete stock tiles, take full control of your quick settings
Xposed/CM support
Opens tile detail with weather, battery information and a calculator (Xposed only)
Actions include:
- Launch apps
- Launch shortcuts, including tasker tasks (Pro version only)
- Launch app shortcuts, static and dynamic (dynamic requires Android 7.1+ and root)
- Click widget (for toggle/action widgets such as Twilight) [Pro]
- Show widget (shows widget in a dialog) [Pro]
- Launch URL
- Custom settings toggle (WiFi, Screen timeout, Bluetooth, WiFi Hotspot, Sync, Adaptive Brightness, Sound, Music Controls)
- Custom root/secure settings toggle (Invert Colours, Location, ADB, Immersive Mode, Ambient Display)
- Custom root toggle (Airplane Mode, Celullar Data, Screenshot, Shutdown, Reboot, Reboot Recovery, Quick Reboot, Restart SystemUI, Network Mode [2G, 3G, LTE])
- Live toggles (Displays data in title & icon): CPU speed, Free RAM, Internal Storage Space, Battery, Data Usage, Next Alarm, # of calendar events today, Calendar next event*, calculator*, BBC weather*, Yahoo! weather*)
- Advanced options: Launch activity (with extras, can launch any activity with root), run command, run root command (all pro)
- Advanced click options: Change System, Secure or Global setting value (requires secure/root for secure & global, as well as pro) - Allows you to change any setting in the system, therefore creating tiles for any system setting

Really a great app, but somehow many icons have quirks. Many round parts have flat parts. E.g. the heads of no. 3 and 4 are not really round.
Or is that intention?
And a search or filter function for the icons would really be nice. It's not so nice to scroll through so much icons, especially without a scroll bar. You never know where you are.

Hi there. I just read about your app on Android Police. It sounded great so I downloaded the free version to try it out. I'm sure I will get the paid version also. I'm going to mess around and make a few tiles. I'll return to give you my thoughts. Not that my opinion makes any difference. Lol. Thanks
Tasker Intent Guide
Here's how you use Tasker's intent action to change a tile's state:
Add an Intent action and enter the following in the correct inputs:
Action:
com.quinny898.app.customquicksettings.CHANGE_TILE_STATE
Cat:
None
Extras:
tile:<Name or number of tile>, eg tile:Hangouts or tile:0
active:true/false, eg active:true (true = tile is white, false = tile is greyed out)
Package:
com.quinny898.app.customquicksettings
Class:
com.quinny898.app.customquicksettings.receivers.Tasker
Target:
Broadcast Receiver
Leave the rest of the options as their defaults (empty)

First: Amazing work!
Second: Icon not appears on quicksetings in latest version.
Excellent Remarkable work done
Awesome app, thank you! Can't wait for further versions to unhide soon. Looking forward for playing games soon on these custom stock os.
Some issues:
1. Changing the color of "Adaptive Brightness" toggle icon doesn't work.
2. Same with the "Flashlight" toggle. And the first time I've tested the "Flashlight" toggle I wasn't able to switch off the flashlight. It went off only after opening the app.
3. The icon search feature isn't very useful. It shows only max. 5 results and it always starts at the beginning of the name. So you can't enter "auto" to find "brightness auto". Even with "brightness" you don't find it. You have to enter at least "brightness a" to find it.
Maybe a filter function would be better. And it should look in the whole name.
4. There are still some broken icons: Cancel, Headphone Dots, No, Question Mark Circle
Some requests (seen in another app):
5. Support for app icons would really be great.
6. It would surely be very handy if selecting an action would also set the corresponding icon.

1. Is in the process of being fixed
2. is intentional, it's not supported right now
3. The library that does the sections doesn't support filtering (it's a bug in it right now) so maybe later
4. Working on it
5. Maybe soon
6. Same as 5

I'm assuming there's no way for this to work for the built in toggles or root toggles? I would have to create my own Tasker task and include this intent?
Also, the adaptive brightness toggle doesn't seem to work.

It works for any custom tile theoretically. It would look weird if you set a custom icon that was multi colour though.
The tile does work, it just doesn't react, it's a bug.

I did get the intent working to change the tile color when NFC is toggled.
Yes, your'e right. The adaptive brightness tile works it just doesn't change the toggle in the Android settings, which is fine with me.
Great app, the pro version is definitely worth the price. Thanks!
Great app, thanks! But when I click on the volume tile, it opens the media volume panel instead of the ringer. Don't know if this is a bug but if not, could you please add the option to open ringer panel? Thanks

Hi, thanks for the app, but I got fc on my xperia z3c with sony concept rom
same here! this app seems very promising, thanks to OP first of all, but also in my z3c I have FC when applying the new tile (I'm on version 1.4 and I am rooted, sony concept rom that should be almost pure aosp).
will a log be helpful for you? if so can I just grab it with syslog app maybe?
TIA!
No idea why, but I can't get the NFC icon to show up at all.
This is supposed to be a root toggle for NFC with the NFC icon.
@Quinny899
I have purchased the pro features of the app but the colour of tiles (nfc, sync, ...etc) doesn't change when change the state of these. Basically, this is something that makes useless the application because the user can not know in what state is the function chosen

In my case it always opens the media panel, it doesn't matter the app.
In the settings there are some hidden activities of debugging, testing and experimental settings for the Glance Screen.
As you can see from the screenshots below, they would allow to change the backlight, the number of notifications to be displayed (four or six), the activation delay, the style of the screen, add new apps (still very few) to the usual three and have an extended view of events in program.

Actually, they appear to be only screens without management code, since nothing seems to work, except for the debugging settings in the fourth screen. Those actually affect the backlighting of the screen and the white tone of the characters (but could simply be related to the variation of backlighting).
As for the gesture, there are activities (not working) to activate the gesture on the fingerprint reader, to manage the virtual navigation bar (these should not affect the Nokia 8, since it has capacitive keys) and to switch from rear camera to front and viceversa with a double twist (in this case it's an empty activity with only the title, for this I don't put the screenshot):
They could simply be stock code residuals, but for the gestures on the fingerprint reader there is the animation of what appears to be a Nokia 7 (or one of the new Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 8 Sirocco or 9), while for the gesture to emulate the navigation keys, I've never seen similar ones. From animations and descriptions it's clear that, when you hide the navigation bar, you can go back with a swipe upward in the bottom left; to home with a swipe upward in the bottom center and a swipe upward on bottom right for recent apps (iPhone X style ).
Finally this seems to be a screen to choose a different color profile, but it doesn't seem to work, so it may very well be a residual stock software not implemented:
I found these activities in the Android 8.1 beta for Nokia 8, I don't know if they are also present in the stable build of Android 8. It seems that something is actually in development, like the Glance, while the rest could be customizations for the chinese ROM of the Nokia 7, or maybe something in the making for new devices cooming soon.
If you want to browse or find other "news", it's all reachable by creating shortcuts to these activities using the appropriate Nova widget. You can find these among the System UI and Settings activities (.keyguard.glance.testing.GlanceSettingsActivityForTesting, .keyguard.glance.PrimaryNotificationIndicatorsSettings, .keyguard.glance.NotificationIndicatorsMainSettings, .keyguard.glance.GlanceStyleSettingsActivity, .Setting$DoubleTwistSuggestionActivity, .Settings$SwipeToNotificationSuggestionActivity, .Settings$SoftkeySettingsActivity, .Settings$NavigationBarSettingsActivity, .Settings$ScreenModeActivity) .
If you decide to take a look, pay attention to what you do, because starting certain activities could make the device unusable. For example, by starting the activity of FQC, a tool used to test and approve the units in production, it will be extremely difficult to exit, the shutdown and forced reboot of the device is also inhibited (hmd should remove it from the final software, but if I'm not mistaken, it was also present in the stable build of Android 8).
Do it at your own risk.
Even if it doesn't do anything yet it still gave me a bit of hope about the glance screen. Nice findings

So, if in Android 8 are absent most of those Activity, it means that something is actually in development, hopefully. We'll know more with the next beta, maybe coming with the february security patches in a few days.

It would be really nice if they add the following to the Glance Screen options:
1. Option to auto disable after 5 and 15 minutes
2. Option to change color of the text (red, green, grey, blue) at selectable start/stop date

You had to be quick to spot it, it was in the bit where you are doing the initial set up, it was before the phone was up and running and doing things like installing patches.

Is it possible to disable the timeout so that the glance sreen is always on?
Hope it's real , current glance not too useful

Hi, there are some updates about the improved Glance.
On the Nokia 8 Sirocco there is the new and improved Glance screen, I don't know why on our Nokia 8 there is still the old one and the new is present only as testing activities.
If you see this post on the italian Nokioteca community there are some screens of the settings of the new Glance, with the different styles and the always-on in the timing settings (but the Sirocco has an OLED display).
The owner of the Sirocco, un_padovano, also confirms that all apps are supported for notifications, not only the few of the old one or experimental version.
No way to see WhatsApp notification on glance screen , is real shi t
