I am trying to use the cm10 updater. it has been running for over an hour. I am trying to update my December 24 update to the January 14 update. It is still running. Could it be that the server is just too busy? Something else? Ideas? Thank you.
Edit 1: It ran for about 3 hours then started over. Still running. Anyone know how to stiop it?
Edit 2:Read on RootzWiki that CM Updater did not work with TWRP. It only works with CWM. So I forced closed it. Will update with a dirty flash.
I'm using a OnePlus One, and the latest gapps and 12.1 nightly builds.
However, I noticed that every morning when i wake up, the install screen of cyanogenmod is back. It seems all data and so on is still on the phone, because it says I already provided a Google account and so. This is the third time I'm setting up the device from scratch to 12.1 stable nightly. Any idea why it keeps resetting? Using no custom roms or kernels, just the ones provided in the CM 12.1 Nightly builds (18/04) was the latest official one).
The device is rooted, but it's annoying to spend 2 hours setting it back up every time, re-installing everything. Any help would be appreciated.

I installed the original file using TWRP the day it came out. Now the phone wants to OTA update everyday. It's driving me nuts. How can I fix this? I've already rooted the phone and installed FK kernel which I'm sure isn't helping. Any reply would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!
Exactly which update did you install? There were two, the major YNG1TAS0YL and the incremental YNG1TAS17L. So if you only installed the first one you still have the incremental to go.

As timmaaa said, your probably getting the incremental update that was released a couple of days after CM12 was released. I also get that update constantly.
Since April I've been happily using @lost101 's optimized 5.1 GPE v1.1. Since September my mobile data usage went up and depleted my 150 MB plan, which should be enough for email and chat. It seems that Android System Updates downloads a 7-8 MB package regularly in the background, even when I happen to be on mobile, it doesn't care. I've just flashed v1.3, but I still see that once I open updates view, it offers an update and transfers data without asking.
I used to like GPE, it's very clean, but now it takes away my chance to use mobile data. Should I use a stock ROM, or what else could you suggest?
Is this issue caused by the "new monthly security updates"? Are those the patches named like *.m004? If they are unable to patch on custom ROMs, but keep downloading, I'll never have a normal data usage again.

Update to v1.4. That's the latest version. It is based off the GPE M004 update and includes the latest fixes for the Stagefright bugs.
And it might also be the last update for Falcon GPE ever, so you probably won't get an update notification after that
Edit: Dirty flashing from v1.3 to v1.4 caused FCs on my phone. You might have to clean flash, like I did
In 'Data usage' - you can also click on 'Android System Updates' and disable background data on cellular networks. I will see if this can be stopped permanently.

Thanks for the info. I'm very disappointed with GPE now, it took me a long time to figure out what took all that mobile data. I turned off almost all syncing at first. Since I don't want to constantly monitor data usage to see if there is a new update, I tried US Stock 5.1. It doesn't have an update now, and hopefully won't have them as aggressively as GPE.

I don't remember seeing this option, although I looked at Data Usage a lot. Those background downloads appeared as Android OS, for which background could not be disabled. I'm on Stock now...
Android 12 Is out now. I got an update notification from the oxygen updater app.
How is updating from a rooted device? Is it the usual?
download, disable magiskmodules, install, magisk->flash to other partion, reboot?
regards
so xda is dead?
Haven't tried Android 12 yet, but was wondering if I should!
İ personally wouldn't recommend the update (android 12). The update isn't stable.
LineageOS 19.1 works fine. Used ADB and fastboot as recommended. Updates without hussle. Did try the Evolution X too, but couldn't handle the evolution menu well.
were you rooted?
