I had some issues with the touchscreen recently as the lower quarter of the screen reacted in a weird way to my inputs. My device was bought from another country where I reside and Htc service center refused my device since it's not under their warranty. I went then to a local center for smartphones repair to check but after two days they told me that they don't have the required digitizer and along with this the phone lost its back camera and flash light, the top speaker and both sim and SD card slots. The phone now is not a phone any more.
My request now is a service manual for the device and any video for disassembly and reassembly as I intend to try and repair myself. I don't want to return to them again.

I always want to know how are HTC's service in other country.
As a Taiwanese I know service in my country is very important for
any minor or major company to be able to survive in Taiwanese market.
Few days ago I have drop my HTC onto the floor and the screen was damage (Still
working but there were black dot on the screen) and I have phone HTC and they
arrange someone to pick it up from me and that same day in the afternoon the
Service center phone me and told me the screen was damage due to dropping the
phone onto the floor (At this point I was thinking them going to charge me for
replacing the screen and I was ready to accept any fees which them offer me)
and once them have explain the problem them told me the phone will be fix and
delivery to me the next day and I should expect the phone to arrive before afternoon. I was wondering when will them told me about the price for fixing the screen and they seems like not bother mentioned it so I ask the caller. Their respond was it's ok, we not going to charge you anything as long as you are happy about our product and service and that is the most important part. After I hang up the phone I still not sure is this true or not.
At that moment after the phone arrive. I believe what the repair center told me and kept on thinking of all those year living in South Africa. Never have any company who act so fast and fix the problem so quick with out charging you anything.
So I just want to know how many people also find their service good and how many people think it's rubbish and also from which country as well.
i had to wait for my device for 4 weeks, also a screen replacement...hmm
The camera on my Desire died so I ended up having to send it to HTC.
I had it back within 2 weeks, which was pretty fast I thought.
Had the dreaded random reboot on my Desire. Sent it to the repair centre in UK. Returned within 7 days with a new Mobo. Excellent service.
Much faster to do yourself easy replacement.

i had my device for screen replacement done by 2 week in Singapore..
Hi all,
About two weeks ago I fumbled my Nexus S and it fell from a great distance. This resulted in a cracked display. I replaced the cracked display and digitizer myself but have since been experiencing a couple of weird problems.
1. When the battery is below about 50%, the screen blanks out at random intervals. The four keys (home, back, search, etc.) remain lit and functional. If I lock and then unlock the screen the display comes back fine. Strangely, this doesn't occur at all when the battery is well charged (>50% or so). And the lower the charge, the more frequently this occurs.
2. I have opened the case a few times to try and reseat cables. After about the fourth time, the screen has developed a purple tint. This is visible even in the bootloader and recovery screens so I don't think it is anything to do with the ROM. I've tried various ROMs (CM7.1 RC1, stock) and the tint persists in each of these.
Any advice? Anybody run into any similar issues?
Thanks much.
Samsung Canada Authorized Service Centre Info
So, I basically decided to try my luck with Samsung Canada's authorized service centre. I'll post here how it goes.
Since Wind's service staff were no help and Samsung's customer service line was friendly but pointed me in the wrong direction, I thought I'd post the contact info for what appears to be Samsung's only authorized service centre in Canada. This info is also available from their website but takes a bit of digging.

Hey, I really recommend these guys. I sent my phone via XpressPost and got it back via Purolator exactly one week later.
its been only 26 days I purchased this phone. I was very happy to buy this phone, but it didn't lasted long. I have to take this phone to Samsung Service Centre after a week due to OTA 5.1.1 update failed. Samsung Service Centre personnel had flashed 5.1.1 using ODIN and I thought everything will be fine but I am experiencing the below problems frequently
Multiple times screen freezes and no option other than soft reset (volume down + power button).
in gallery, pictures taken through camera, the picture becomes green and all its pixels gets disturbed. happened for at least 5 pictures.
in idle / standby mode, phone will not wake up only led light flashes & screen remains black. Only option for me is to soft reset.
sometimes fingerprint unlock doesn't work (there is a message that says the same) and I have to enter the backup password manually.
Phone restarts by itself at-least couple of times (2-3 times) in a day in home network, while roaming it is pathetic.
Phone restarts while using camera, opening Google play, opening Google maps, any software application.
Phone restarts while in safe mode also (suggested by one of customer support executive to monitor my phone in safe mode)
Phone restarts during a call, this happened twice

Seems like a broken update install. Go to the service center again and list them all the problems thats been happening with valid proof. They will again flash the OS and give it back to you. It might possibly go but most probable that it won't, so repeat the same thing until they take it seriously so that they give you either a refund or replacement or a proper repair! The problem is, Samsung India never does replacements!
Reflash is needed otherwise have Samsung replaced your S6.
update on 30-July-2015
I am just got my S6 checked with Samsung Service Centre. The personnel has understood my problem clearly and told me that he will reflash the IMEI that will make the phone to Factory OS and then he do some random hardware test and then flash the Adroid ROM.
But unfortunately, IMEI flash failed giving errors. he says there is a problem with PBA and it has to be replaced, in other words he says it is a Mother Board issue.
[What is PBA issue? if IMEI flashing fails will imply a hardware problem?]
So, at-last it is figured out that there is a hardware problem. They asked me to go for a Service Warranty and get the Mother Board replaced. But I didn't agree to the Service Warranty. I asked for a replacement. They say, they can't help me out on phone replacement, I need to check with Direct Customer Centre team.
Thanks for your suggestions.

Any updates after this? Samsung India will never give in a replacement! NEVER EVER. I've tried arms and legs for my previous samsungs even within just 28 days but still they never did. They keep on insisting that the quality of repair will be excellent and i don't need to worry etc etc. Also, once you lose your 7 day window, you aren't eligible for a DOA. But, with increasing complexities in smartphone hardware, its difficult to replicate an issue within 7 freaking days! Please let us know what happened with your phone now! And yea, PBA is nothing but "printed board assembly" which is that green electrical board with all circuits and capacitors and other ICs.

Thanks for the follow up & sorry for the late response.
Yes, after this, I had to go through a difficult time. First they insisted me to go through repair, which i denied. After justifying the problems and pain that I was going through, they offered me a new handset as a replacement. When went to see this new replaced handset, the box is of dirt and a pen mark. It was looking like a potential tampered set. When questioned about this, they responded that they are giving a new handset and the dirt on the box is of mishandling by office boy & delivery person. When Opened the box, i was shocked to see the dirt hand print on the warrant card box also, & more disturbing is that there was dirt on the screen of the phone.
It was hard to believe myself, this was happening to me and for a one month old phone. When I rejected the new handset and demanded my money back. Again they took several days for process and finally did a refund. After nearly 2 months, a happy ending.
As I was in love with S6, did 2500 rupees insurance valid for 2 year, bought tough Armor case from Sipgen & Spigen Screen Gaurd, both together I spend around 3500 rupees. Tough Armor and screen guard are not used at all, now got wasted. Need to find someone who can use the same.
Now, I am back to my SII, which is still a reliable phone for me. SII is loaded with 5.1.1 which is being developed by Lysergic Acid. Thanks for his contribution and support.
S6 & services in India made me to think of moving to iOS. New Samsung devices with New Android features are being developed, but the core OS is not stable. Now, it is time for Android developers to concentrate on OS Stability, battery consumption so that people like me should feel secured when using new phones with new Android versions.
Hello everybody,
I have bought my Nexus 5 in January 2014, but I notice that my call volume is really low and this is something I had from the very beginning I bought this phone. Also my micro usb port is dying because I have to position the cable for it to charge (And yes I tried different cables).
My question is if I go back to the store where I bought my device and tell them about these issues, will these fall under warranty or not? I live in Europe so I have 2 years of warranty. But I just want to be sure this falls under it. And I'm even a little bit scared if they send it back to LG that I will have to pay something..
Thanks in advance
Your usb port should be covered by the warranty but they can ask you to prove that you didn't damage the device.
You can contact them through the Hardware Warranty Center.
Dear oneplus , my problem is so long that is discussing today.i brought the oneplus one phone from Amazon at 11 feb 2015 . received the phone at 16 feb 2015. I'm not sure you've reached to Customer Support Hotline before? But here are the official numbers to contact them.
-00914041412125/ 18001028411(Toll Free)
Also you can write an email to [email protected], its just matter of time, if your product still under warranty, than do one thing, raise your voice, spread your query allover the internet. Name the official OnePlus Service Center with representatives whom you've talked.
Rest assured, if it wasn't your fault than you'll get justice. :fingers-crossed:
Always keep in mind, passion is one thing and foolishness is another, they can't be combined! If you had returned it in the past then you should be covered under Amazon.in guarantee refund. But since you've chose to keep it, they ain't gonna believe your word. Trust me, I own 3 OnePlus One. I have had pain in the ar*e just to get the device of my liking.
Total of 6 device I have purchased in the past year, only 3 kept and 3 had to return. No compromise on selection, always opting for fully functional unit.
