Hello guys,
Recently i had installed the "Oneplus One Red Boot Animation" boot animation by Broadbent Studios.
I am running CM12.1 Nightly dated 15th May 2015. I can boot into TWRP too, fortunately.
After I applied this boot animation through the themes section and restarted my phone, it is stuck at boot animation and nothing happens further.
I have also tried to flash another bootanimation zip file(which seemed to have installed successfully), but in vain
What should i do to get out of this boot-loop problem?
Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Chinmay

I had installed Mokee OS 4.3 as my main OS (System_1 in Boot Menu Manager). When I flashed Gapps for Android 4.3, it got stuck at black screen during startup, so, I flashed "p3_edison-edison-user-4.1.2-6.7.2_GC-404-434-release-keys" using RSDlite (which I did many times today and it worked) and it is now stuck at the boot animation, whereas in RSDlite it shows as PASS, what should I do? Please help! :crying:
UPDATE : Solved! I was flashing JB leak 3 which is an update, but there was no ICS present, so I had to flash the ICS sbf first!
Sorry, I don't know how to delete the thread.
Help please :crying: I just bricked my phone and I am not able to unbrick it . First , it requires you to install adb driver but I didn't not enable usb debugging before the brick . And I cannot flash the factory image . Any ideas how to unbrick without enabling usb debugging ?

What exactly did you do with the phone?
you don't need USB debugging to flash stock images. Your phone just need to be able to boot into fastboot and have the bootloader unlocked.
What happens when you press/hold power button for 20 seconds?
USB debugging is an ANDROID setting therefore only works or applicable when you are booted into Android

My phone is stuck at boot animation
I am in a dire need to your help. i just got my phone to stuck in the boot animation. This is what happened
i had a nexus 5 for 6 months, it was rooted and had xpose framework installed. Yesterday i updated my xpose app to the latest and installed an xpose module "Call blocker". but after one day use, i realized that it was making my nexus slow and i was suffering from low performance. So today i decided to uninstall this app, by going into settings>apps>call blocker and uninstalled it from there. Just after that i rebooted by phone, but it got into the boot loop (reboot after finishing the boot animation).
This is what is already tried:
I downloaded the nexus 5 image from google and extracted it. I flashed all the stock images (from bootloader) but now my phone is stuck at boot animation. i also installed CWM recovery and formatted system, data, cache and all options that were available, after that i flashed it again with stock images, but still stuck in the boot animation (circles keep on spinning forever).
Please guide me... I can't think of any more ways

Are you sure you have flashed all the stock images? If so, then head to the stock recovery and perform a factory reset and then reboot. It should boot up.

Another newb that doesn't know the difference between fastboot and ADB, two of the MANY things you should be well-versed in before tinkering. Please head over the general forum and read the stickies.

Thank you for all your support. I was able to restore my phone back to normal. What i did, after flashing the stock images, and I rebooted my phone to recovery and wiped the user data and cache. Although i tried if previously but i don't know why i didn't work than. May be, it only works just after the flashing of new/stock rom. Anyjow its good now. thank you for the support
Thumbs up XDA :good::laugh:
I am getting a hang on the bootlogo
This happened after installing the OTA for 44S. if I boot reboot the phone 20 or 30 times I can get past it.
TWRP works fine. if you pay close attention when booting into recovery you see the 1+ logo, and just before TWRP loads the screen goes slightly brighter.
When booting into system, you usually see the 1+ logo, and then the screen goes slightly dimmer. Just after this the logo should change into the rotating animation.. This is where my phone hangs. Just after it goes dimmer but before the logo starts to animate.
Now here is the weird part. I've done all the tricks, returning to stock 44s deleting all the partitions and re creating them, deleting cache, dalvik, flashing a persist.img or manually creating that partition, etc etc. after many days of crying and swearing I flashed stock 38R. it boots 100% of the time. I flashed Calkulins 44S rom, back to hanging on boot. I then restored ONLY the boot partition from 38R, and my phone boots 100%
I can't stay on 38R boot/kernel as I have the jumpy touch screen and a few other bugs which 44S fixes.
Does anyone have any ideas?
In a nutshell, 44S boot hangs 95% of the time.
38R boot image works all the time for booting (but I need the bug fixes from 44S)
(working kernel: 3.4.0-cyanogenmod-g33fa374 [email protected] #1 mon Oct 6 11:03:38 PDT 2014)
Try using this return to stock tool by OnePlus, it'll take you back to 38R with a full wipe. Don't do anything else to the phone other than letting it boot up. Then grab the 44S OTA from here and flash it.

Ok I tried that and it didn't work. after installing the 44S update OTA it hung on the first boot, i rebooted and it worked, i rebooted again and it hung for the next 6 tries, #7 it worked... I flashed the 38R boot image, and it boots every time. flash back the 44S boot image and it hangs on boot.
What else is in the Boot.img as well as the kernel. if it possible to have *just* the kernel? or when you flash a kernel does it update other things? I am thinking if I can flash the 38R Boot.img and then put *just* the 44S kernel over the top of that?

I'm pretty sure the boot.img is only the kernel. Not sure why your device doesn't want to boot 44S, it's a really weird one. It fully wiped your device, including user data, right?

Oh I wiped and formatted it so well Timmaaaa, the paint started coming off!
I'm not the only one with the problem, I found a thread in the oneplus website forum that a staff member had posted with that 38R recovery zip that basically said they had so many support claims about boot logo hangs they were going to ignore them all and to just run that recovery procedure as it fixes them all. There are a lot of posts saying "hooray! It fixed it!" followed by "the phone said there was an OTA update to 44S which I installed and now it's not working again"
Such a great phone apart from stupid bugs like this and God awful support. Apparently if you run colour OS it doesn't hang, but who wants to run that?
I was on DP2, with root and unofficial twrp-3.0.2-3-angler(previous versions had problems). And had google assistant too with modified build.prop. Today I flashed a zip file for pixel features. But after reboot, it stuck on the new pixel boot animation. I then applied a rollback zip file, now it is showing the old boot animation, but still stuck. I have wiped cache/dalvik.
I had a password set during boot. Previously, it used to ask for password, but not now. TWRP is now showing unable to mount storage. I don't know where the problem is. Is it the boot password? Please help. Thanks in advance.
Importantly if I wish to flash factory image, then can I flash the final build of 7.1.1(NMF26F)? Earlier I was on DP2. (npf26f).

Need some help, I keep getting a infinite boot animation. I tried to install LineageOS (thread) on my G920F three times and let them all boot for about an hour without success.
This is the order of how I flashed it:
1. Wipe Davik, System, Data and Cache
2. Flash the LineageOS zip
3. Flash the Zerofltexx kernel img
4. First try flashed OpenGAPPS, second try flashed MindTheGAPPS and third try didn't flash GAPPS at all
5. Reboot and wait, after an hour still booting
Any idea's of what I'm doing wrong?
Fixed my issue!
Hi!
I had the same issue as you, followed the guides and installed TWRP through ODIN and flashed the OS through TWRP to boot it.
When I booted the device it just got stuck indefinitely on the loading animation (the Lineageos loading logo in my case).
Since you and some others had the same issue as me I assumed it was something to do with a new version of some software.
I resolved the issue by installing an older version of TWRP through ODIN,
I installed the TWRP version 3.2.3.
And then I flashed the same ROM with the GAPPS again.
After the ROM and GAPPS I also flashed MAGISK aswell from the magiskmanager website.
Download the MAGISK Zip.
After I flashed the ROM, GAPPS and MAGISK through the TWRP 3.2.3 it booted as intended.
Hope this works for you aswell!
how long did it take to boot
First Boot needs longer...up to 15 minutes is possible.

Remove the TWRP from the phone via the advance key in TWRP. I had tried several ROMs and Gapps only to get stuck on the boot screen then back to the TWRP screen. Removing the app made my new rom boot in less than 10 seconds.
If you can give us exactly the steps you follow
Lineageos 17 boot animation stuck

Steps (I have followed the instructions to the letter)
Wiped all partitions (advanced wipe)
formatted DATA partition
rebooted back into recovery
installed Lineage 17 and Gapps
Rebooted to system and left it all day, still stuck on boot animation
Tried again without gapps same results
Tried other roms they work, AOSP showing no encryption which works fine
What am I doing wrong? Do I have to flash different kernel? TWRP 3.3.1 installed.
Im using G920L it booting to long then just go to twrp anyhelp?

For reference, formatting data after install seems to often be the solution when flashing a new OS to a Moto G5 Plus.
