I had installed Mokee OS 4.3 as my main OS (System_1 in Boot Menu Manager). When I flashed Gapps for Android 4.3, it got stuck at black screen during startup, so, I flashed "p3_edison-edison-user-4.1.2-6.7.2_GC-404-434-release-keys" using RSDlite (which I did many times today and it worked) and it is now stuck at the boot animation, whereas in RSDlite it shows as PASS, what should I do? Please help! :crying:
UPDATE : Solved! I was flashing JB leak 3 which is an update, but there was no ICS present, so I had to flash the ICS sbf first!
Sorry, I don't know how to delete the thread.

So I'm fairly new to rooted android, custom ROMs and the like but I did a bit of research and decided to root my phone and install a pacman 4.3 build on it. While i was able to succesfully root the phone and have had some success with flashing roms I have run into what seems to be a recurring bootloop issue.
Phone: Samsung Captivate Glide I927
Current OS: Stock Android 4.0.4 ICS
I'll start by describing what I have done so far:
Starting with a factory Android 2.3 phone I rooted my device using the following guide
Next I used odin 3.04 to flash CWM 6.0.2.1 to my phone
I then backed up using CWM, wiped data/factory reset, wiped cache, and flashed kick buttowski's PAC 4.3 build and gapps
Upon rebooting I received a samsung logo and then a black screen with no boot (over 15 min)
After some forum investigation I decided my best bet was to try and flash from a stock ICS build
I restored and attempted to flash a stock ICS zip; phone rebooted with a black screen and a pull down menu only
I restored and flashed a stock ICS tar through odin from here
This worked nearly perfectly as I was finally able to fully boot up, although the wifi will not turn on at all - even after some troubleshooting
I backed up the mostly working stock ICS and pressed forward.
First I had to re-flash CWM through odin as my native recovery mode had returned.
I then flashed the PAC 4.3 build with the same black screen error.
I then flashed bubor's PAC 4.3 build and gapps and was able to boot into the PACMAN startup screen at last....short lived as it displayed a pacman, game over, insert coin startup animation indefinitely (over 15 min)
I tried flashing bubor's CM 10.2 Cyanogen 4.3 and gapps instead and was met with a similar issue - indefinite cyanogen startup circle (over 15 min)
I tried flashing Omni 4.4 as well but was not able to even properly flash this one for a reboot.
I have run into this problem trying to flash a number of ROM's where I get stuck in an infinite bootloop. I have restored, wiped data and wiped caches in between each flash attempt and started from a stock ICS build and at this point don't know what to troubleshoot anymore. Can anyone help me?
OK bare with me as I say all this .
I was on 4.1.2 and wanted to update to 4.3 Moar. I updated my radio and flashed the rom it would come up the first time then every time I rebooted it came to the Samsung galaxy s3 and just hangs. it was suggested that I update my recovery. So I reflashed and downloaded Goo manager and downloaded the recovery. now when I boot it still hangs on the samsung gs3 logo . Boot into recovery and the CM mascot comes up for a sec then asks for password and will not let me do anything in recovery. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
So, I was running Anerik's Unofficial CM12 but decided I wanted to try out the GPE 5.0.1 .
I followed "The Ultimate Guide to flash 5.0.1" by pfufle and it seemed to work fine.
I used Titanium Backup to restore a few apps and then restarted my phone because that's what you are supposed to do after restoring apps.
Only problem is that after the reboot, it would get past the Boot Logo (The Google logo with the unlocked padlock) but then stay on the Boot Animation (The 4 colours moving around) eternally (I left it there for around 20-25 mins.
I then got fed up of waiting and decided to retry flashing 5.0.1 by following the guide from the start and flashing gpe 4.4.4 then 5.0.1 etc.
Same problem. I tried maybe 4 times all of them ended with the same result.
I gave up and then went back to 4.4.2 from which I flashed Anerik's CM12 again.
I restored my apps via TB, restarted my phone but what do you know. Got past the Boot Logo but got stuck on the Boot Animation (The one with the CM Logo and the arrow spinning around) eternally.
I haven't checked if this problem happens in 4.4.2 and GPE 4.4.4.
How do I fix this?
Hi
I was on Kitkat and I couldnt download the OTA so I rooted my tablet with towelroot and installed CWM 6.0.5.0
I got the lollipop stock image from Carbon Tesla and I flashed it.
It gets stuck installing and I cant restart to the old image!!
What can I do??
EDIT: It gets stuck on Nvidia logo after booting, because the zip cant be installed. What can I do please?!
EDIT2: I flashed a Carbon Rom but screen is unresponsive, so Im going to flash a PAC Rom for a while, but I still want stock!
EDIT3: Nevermind, I figured out how to do it. I'd like to still have this thread opened anyway in case I come up with more edits.
So just 2 days ago I installed Nemesis rom so I could use Nougat. I used it for awhile but I decided to downgrade back to Marshmellow because my sim would not work on this rom.
So I flashed my stock rom with Odin, it finished, got to the blue "installing system update" screen, and when it finishes, it restarts and gets stuck at the Samsung logo.
What am I doing wrong? I used Odin 3.12
I'm using the Canadian W8 S6.
nvm, fixed it by going into stock recovery, formatting then re flashing again with odin.
