xperia l
've unlocked bootloader by following the instructions provided on unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/instructions and the fastboot tool sad "OKAY". Now when I try to turn it on again, I see SONY and then XPERIA logo, and then Xperia colour animation on the screen. It's been like that for more than an hour, and to turn it off I needed to pull out the battery. PC companion doesn't recognize it . I've tried holding the volume up button while starting up (the logos) and holding down both volume buttons and nothing happened.
Is there any way to fix this?

I think you both are trying to answer a question which is lacking details. You both are right according to your assumptions. I think there is no point answering a post when the user has not replied back with more details . Most probably, he would have shown it to a tech and got it working after paying some fee.
Too bad, we would have got him working for FREE
To be honest I don't know why there is a bootloop after unlocking but that usually happen.
But what I know that I have been in bootloop many times and the factory reset didn't work .
Anyway thank you and can you tell us why because I want to know why .

its because of apps that use drm keys that are stored in TA .... as long as those apps remain in cache the phone cant boot because they are loaded in cache with drm keys .... if you clear the cache ( factory reset does this....depends on wich recovery you use) the cache is cleared.... if the phone boots then it will rewrite cache.... with drm keys that are "nulled" (means 0000000) ...then the phone works again

Thank you for this useful information.
And I think this's why the factory reset didn't work with me maybe because I was using the stock xperia recovery not a custom one (cwm, twrp).

hello all
I rooted my phone around a month ago with jaggy tutorial (First did factory reset then root)
But forgot making backup with CWM
and it has my data in it
Before trying to use some custom roms I want to do a factory reset (delete each and everything, make a fone like new) then do backup so that if something goes wrong , on restoring fone become new with maximum free space
But I heard if we do factory setting it hangs on htc logo
So how to do it without bricking fone
And plz move it to right section if it is not
I have read (although I am not 100% sure) that if you backup the fonts folder from the data partition on your phone, and then use AROMA File Manager from recovery to restore the folder after the factory reset, it will work. I may not be remembering that quite right, or I could have misunderstood when I read that, so it's probably best to wait for someone to confirm that before trying.

First thing to try is removing the battery for a while (say, half an hour) and then try again. I have had success doing this when my phone has given me bootloops, and it has also worked on my brother's phone (a different Android phone).

Rooting the stock rom that comes with the phone and doing an factory reset will does certainly put you in a bootloop. If you are trying to install a custom rom then install that and then you can do a factory reset from recovery without any problems. On the other hand if you would like to stick to stock then you may download the pre-rooted india based stock rom by immortal_yash here.

Thanks for your help bro but even when I flash stock ics i can't get sim to work
If i just flash only the stock ics i get invalid sim card
And when i install cm10 over it the problem is still there
try these:
--> remove sim card and place it again correctly (works sometimes)
--> when you enter the CWM make sure you completely wipe your data includes- wipe cache, wipe /system, wipe dalvik cache, format /data /cache and then click on reboot the system now and remove the battery. go back to flashboot mode and flash the ICS firmware and i hope this might help coz this is what i did to my phone

Nothing bro! still the same
my phone asks for the sim password "PIN" and it only accepts the right pin code, what means that the phone reads the sim card
but i don't know why there's no signal and appears the message "invalid sim card"
I've tested many different sim cards and nothing solves
if I did something wrong
theoretically I just need to reflash an stock ftf and everything should be ok
but that doesn't solve the problem

Got it working yet?
Experiencing same problem now after flashing the Xperia Z fire series 5 honami patch...
Tried multiple sim-cards from multiple providers.
Hi guys... I'm on a C2104, and all the roms i've used were for that version. I'm on locked BL, and i can't unlock it.
I was on stock indian 4.2.2, and then tried to replace services.jar (super user mod)... the problem was that i've got reboots after a minute since my L booted.
Then i repaired my L and got stock again. Then i tried to install serajr's rom Clean'n'Tweaked v4, but i was again getting random soft reboots, after 10-15 minutes since every boot.
After all, i flashed stock WORLD-A 4.2.2 firmware, and the soft reboot problem is still there. I've wiped data when flashing.
Can someone help me please? I really don't know what to do now :/

I used the only root method available to root 4.2.2 locked bootloader, vroot... That worked nice before i tried to change services.jar... But now rooting = reboots (maybe the reason to the error is remountrebootfix, but i don't want to try, i've already did factory reset my phone 6 times on a week)

I have a china Smart Phone name Be united (Dm903), It have less internal memory so i rooted it and tried to work out link2sd app but it was not able to detect the second partition and then i searched google and find this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2201192
I tried to follow it without knowing that it was for specific rom.
I followed the following steps
Method 2 (Root Explorer | Root Browser):
Put the file from the zip into the /data directory.
Long tap the file, click "Permissions", check every box (the bottom row (there are only two boxes in that row) can be unchecked), and tap Ok.
Tap the file and tap "Execute".
Now my mobile resets on boot screen but when I connect it with charger or laptop it start working fine, but when I disconnect usb it again start resetting....
...Please Help how can i reset the effects of method 2.
I tried factory reset but it was of no use...

You should be fine not wiping anything as its still 6.0 and only a small update(untick all the top boxes on the right). Only one way to find out and if you have Google+Sony back up switched on you shouldn't lose anything anyway.

Qnovo is the battery charging software to help make the battery perform at its peak for longer periods of time don't delete that, apps log+diag not sure I'm currently downloading the latest version of flashtool as I've had my laptop in bits and managed to get it working again the version I was using only had user data and cache options.
