[Q] Persistent reboots problem - Sony Xperia L

Hi guys... I'm on a C2104, and all the roms i've used were for that version. I'm on locked BL, and i can't unlock it.
I was on stock indian 4.2.2, and then tried to replace services.jar (super user mod)... the problem was that i've got reboots after a minute since my L booted.
Then i repaired my L and got stock again. Then i tried to install serajr's rom Clean'n'Tweaked v4, but i was again getting random soft reboots, after 10-15 minutes since every boot.
After all, i flashed stock WORLD-A 4.2.2 firmware, and the soft reboot problem is still there. I've wiped data when flashing.
Can someone help me please? I really don't know what to do now :/

Go to 4.1.2

I don't think that's a good solution, after trying to replace services.jar, i was on 4.2.2 with no problems.

I´d like to help you bro, but I did not faced something at least similar here!!!

And maybe if i give you a logcat?
Also: I'm NOT having this problem in safe mode.

You can´t imagine how frustrating it is... Logcat does not show any "fatal exception" or something relevant that could show us for sure!!
If I were you, I would start again from the beginning by flashing stock 4.2.2 ftf and so on... Sorry bro!!

I think i resolved it... after many factory resets with backup and restore settings (remember i don't have CWM backups as i'm on a LB device)
But when i root my device, reboots come back... every 10-20 minutes
Can someone help me?

I used the only root method available to root 4.2.2 locked bootloader, vroot... That worked nice before i tried to change services.jar... But now rooting = reboots (maybe the reason to the error is remountrebootfix, but i don't want to try, i've already did factory reset my phone 6 times on a week)

[Q] How to do factory reset after rooting

hello all
I rooted my phone around a month ago with jaggy tutorial (First did factory reset then root)
But forgot making backup with CWM
and it has my data in it
Before trying to use some custom roms I want to do a factory reset (delete each and everything, make a fone like new) then do backup so that if something goes wrong , on restoring fone become new with maximum free space
But I heard if we do factory setting it hangs on htc logo
So how to do it without bricking fone
And plz move it to right section if it is not
I have read (although I am not 100% sure) that if you backup the fonts folder from the data partition on your phone, and then use AROMA File Manager from recovery to restore the folder after the factory reset, it will work. I may not be remembering that quite right, or I could have misunderstood when I read that, so it's probably best to wait for someone to confirm that before trying.

Go to bootloader,select factory reset
I never had an issue with bootloops when factory reset. It may be true for some Galaxy devices(EMMC SuperBrick bug) but not for us.

First thing to try is removing the battery for a while (say, half an hour) and then try again. I have had success doing this when my phone has given me bootloops, and it has also worked on my brother's phone (a different Android phone).

Rooting the stock rom that comes with the phone and doing an factory reset will does certainly put you in a bootloop. If you are trying to install a custom rom then install that and then you can do a factory reset from recovery without any problems. On the other hand if you would like to stick to stock then you may download the pre-rooted india based stock rom by immortal_yash here.

[Q] Xperia L 4.1.2 Stuck at Boot Animation, need help [SOLVED]

I just installed a font installer app. When I just installed a new font, the app ask for reboot. I rebooted my phone and it starts normally. But after 4 or 5 times I installed the others font and rebooted again and again, at the last time I rebooted, my phone stuck at the boot animation. Even 30 minutes it doesn't past the boot animation. How to fix it?
My phone is Sony Xperia L C2105 running Android 4.1.2 (15.0.A.2.17), rooted, bootloader is still locked.
I don't want to flash my phone because it will erase my data. I have some important contact and messages that I didn't have the backup yet.
I need help, it's really important for me.
Sorry for my bad English.
I will appreciate your suggestions.
Thank you.

My brother used MyFont app..installing any font would cause a reboot for him. So, he uninstalled the app when somehow his phone started after successive retries... try remove your battery and somehow start your phone and remove that app!
Btw, he rooted via Framaroot! What about you?

But, I have found a solution for this problem.
The solution is to flash the device without wiping user data and cache (don't tick anything under the Wipe option). I just tried it and it was successful.
Now, my phone is back and I don't lose any app and my data.
But, once again, thank you

[Q] rooted droid maxx boot loops after ota attempt

I have a droid maxx on 12.15.15 update and rooted it using the telnet and adb way. I kept cancelling the last ota update becasue I wanted to make sure root was available. Anyway this morning i aciddently hit install now ;( It didn't install but now its stuck in boot loop. It powers up fine, but after everything loads a bout a minute later it says Power off...Shutting down.. and restarts and keeps boot looping. I've rooted all my other fons, but this is getting tricky. How can I fix this?? I don't mind installing ota if there is root availalble, but I just need my fon fixed! I'm on vacation 1400mi from home, but fortunately I have my old fon along. You are bootlooping because the root method used on this phone removes the stock recovery, thus the phone keeps trying, and failing, to install the update. As far as I'm aware the only way you can get out of the bootloop is to boot into fastboot and re-flash stock 12.15.15 (luckily because the 4.4 update has not installed on your device you will be able to keep your lower firmware, and thus re-root). However I am not 100% sure this is the only solution, and this would wipe your phone as well. I recommend waiting for more responses or looking around for a possible other solution if you prefer to try to not wipe your phone....

I haven't had time to look around and find the thread, but I was able to find a thread that allowed me to FXZ using fastboot to restore 12.15.15 and restore everything, leaving your data intact. Worked like a charm when I was stuck in the bootloop. So, it's doable.

Bump, this problem is an exact replica of what I am currently experiencing. You do get to boot into the OS for a little while, but after about (maybe) 1/2 a minute, it says powering off and reboots.

Yes, but it was only to delete bloatware, there is no actual backup of what's on my phone. Additionally, I don't really care about recovering lost data, I just want to bring my phone to a working state.

That's ok. When you get to your os quickly go into titanium back find apk MotorolaOTA and freeze it. That should stop your bootloop. If it doesn't you may need to freeze an app called updater. Lemme know how it works out.

[Q] Lollipop Error Message

Hello xda forum
I had got my nexus 5 off contract from California, USA and am using it in Delhi, India. I dont know if this fact is causing the problem or not, so thought i'd mention it..

When the system reboots to install the lollipop it shows "error" like after 10-15℅ of completion. This was yesterday. So now i got the ota update without the clearing the data of google framework and the same problem persists. It just shows 'error' and i have to restart the phone by pressing lock and volume up key..
Help. Please.
Thanks in advance
Also it was earloer rooted with towelroot. But i did unroot it with superSu a couple of weeks before ..

Well if you did some more research you would see that it's your kernel causing problems. I won't tell you what kernel to flash because that would be too easy.

Try skyhigh kernel 2.1 and you're laughing. [emoji5] [emoji5]
I'm having that same issue. I rooted using the guide on here, using Oden, TWRP, and the Noble root Kernal. The phone is only rebooting while making phone calls. It usually happens right around 1 minute into the phone call. I have searched on here and tried coming up with something onew google. From what I have read is it something wrong with the kernal? Just hoping someone can point me in the right direction on how to correct this problem, and is all that needs to be done is flash a different kernal? If so what kernel should I use. Sorry for hijacking your thread, just didn't want to make another one asking the same question. Any help is greatly appreciated
It's a kernel issue, guys. Flash a different one and you should be good.
That's kinda what I gathered, just wanted to verrify that was the issue before I went screwing around and messed something up, thanks for the reply though.
What kernel should we try ? I'm on a tmobile note 5
Well I'm running forever Loco rom no mods except for what comes with rom as stated b4 I have went back to stock backup and still the same problem if anyone who posted in the thread would be so kind to tell me which kernel I should try would be gladly appreciated

If you don't know what you're doing then you should do plenty of research... You shouldn't ever "screw around" if you don't know what you're doing. Keep reading and learn how to properly flash everything before you do this stuff or else you'll end up with a fancy paperweight.

You need to flash that file through custom recovery. You have to download it to your phone then boot into your custom recovery to install it. Just follow the directions on aryer97's thread where you downloaded the kernal.
