I'm thinking of buying a new battery for my Nexus 4. The battery life isn't terrible, but the last 30% drops very fast. Like 5% at the time.
Where I can buy a new battery that really is Genuine? I know that there are tons of sellers in Ebay who says their batteries are Original but how can I tell? Is there any holograms on the battery or any other specific characteristics I should keep my eye on?
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/...act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3I2APAM0V9MAJ I found this seller who ships to Finland. It costs £25.43 including shipping or ~35€/$40 and I think it is too much for a battery.

I would suggest replacing it from the official LG Service Center nearby, it'll be more cost effective than buying online. Atleast for me it was very cost effective
http://www.spareslg.com/bateria-lg-e960-nexus-4-lg-optimus-g-e975-eac61898601.html 100% original and cheap. If they wont send the battery to Filand (according to your profile) contact them.
Thanks for the replies. Nearest official LG Service center is 200km away so I can't visit there. But I send them email asking how much it would cost if they shipped the battery to me.
Curl3w, I checked the sit and they will ship to Finland but there wasn't any info how it would cost. Also when I tried to order it, it said "Shipping price not available, you will receive shipping price by email after order". So I emailed them asking about the shipping. We'll see.

£76? For that kind of money that battery should have infinite amount of energy.

I don't think that the battery in that thread is Original. As I said, I'm looking for battery that _really_ is original. I found an authorized LG Spareparts seller here in Finland. If I recall it cost 17€+shipping (23€ or 24€ in total or ~$25-$26) so it's quite reasonable price and I can be sure it is original and it will have warranty.
I recently bought a new one on newegg.com. it seemed pretty genuine to me it didn't come in any fancy packaging but it did have the LG logo on it. been using it for a couple days and it works great!

It's so nice to see price in ₹. My Nexus 4 often automatically turns off after 30% and doesn't switch ON if Power button is pressed. Plugging charger switches on, But battery level appears 0%. I am from Chennai, Tamil Nadu and looking to replace battery, assuming it fault is battery. Am I right that, Battery is the problem???

Yes, it looks like the problem is with the battery. However, to make sure try some ROM and see if you are getting same result there also

Hello Guys,
I got this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/ANKER-1800m...495901?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item4cfb97109d
According my usage :
Before I went back to work : 40 % max Battery remaining
Now : 70 % (easily)
Perfect fit in the original back case.
I have an intensive usage of my Galaxy S (3G all the time , phone call , internet surf )
I love this battery!
Battery Monitor says that is a 1500 mAh
Kr,
Jérémy.
hello jeremy
does that battery fit in with stock backcover or is it to big? seems like a good price.
edit: didnt see ur whole post i may order one thank you :=)
but i didnt get ur last part, do u mean that the battery is actually 1500 mah and not 1800?
Hello,
In battery monitor I see 1500. But much better than the original one (1 year old)
Jérémy.
You do know that Battery Monitor uses an user defined value and you have to set it yourself in the settings?
Settings->monitoring-> battery capacity
Or did you use it to get an estimated capacity (under calibration, "measured")
i bought one yesterday evening but it will take time until i recieve it but when i can tell how good it is.
actually i wanted a samsung 1800 mah battery but the ebay seller had none left..so i bought this one..half the price, 9$ + 5$ shipment ~11 €
i just hope anker batteries are really good
So is this battery thicker than the original?

i assume it has the same size like the original samsung battery with 1800mah, which is slightly thicker than the 1500mah original battery but it fits under the original backcover
got it!
here 2 pics. it fits under the original backcase!
until now i am not able to say anything about the power, i will report if anybody wants to know it.
I'd rather go Samsung oem...

no because this is a thread about a 1800 mah ANKER battery and the other for the original samsung one
Αny news about it's actual power capabilities?
its much better than my old standard 1500mah battery!
i just had the 2nd load-cycle, and i can use my phone heavily a whole day with cyanogenmod 7(i think with stock roms the battery use is better)
I used my galaxy one over one hour for listening to music, ~1h display time, 3g always on, a few sms and after 12 hours i have 50% rest, compared to my old battery this is great ;-) for ~14 $ --> ~11 € with international shippment
i would buy it again!

yes, that is the exact one I ordered. It took about 3-4 days to see a difference but my phone lasted about 1-2 more hours over stock with this battery. For the price it was worth it. It also charged much, much faster than stock battery.

Danget the listing ended..all the other 1900's are from hong kong >.>
This probably goes without saying but the white labeled "1900 mAh" batteries from China are absolutely terrible. I'd say I got no more than 50% of the life of my OEM battery.
No big deal since I was just buying the wall charger and the battery was essentially free, but I won't be using it much if ever.

thats the only option you have. they just include the case with a built in charger to wall so you can carry it around and have it not be exposed to the elements. That your only choice or could call your local oem samsung tech center to see if they might just sell you the battery itself.
Or you could order the OEM battery by itself, from the bay for $24 including shipping.

How can you be sure that is real?
I'd like to know too...
For critical accessories like batteries,it's best to buy it from a Samsung store or Service Center directly with the guarantee bill. I've had my fair share of cheap $4 batteries that swelled up and had barely half the juice within 3 months. A good OEM battery will last you easily a year.
I got from here
http://www.handtec.co.uk/samsung-galaxy-note-edge-battery-eb-bn915bbegww.html
Thank you for the link. I just ordered a battery from this store
The above links are not working. Can somebody share a new source, where i can buy a new genuine battery?

I asked local Samsung service where warranty repairs are made and there is the cheapest place.. Cheaper then any webshop i found.. About 20 USD in local currency..
Note Edge Extended Battery and Wireless Charging Setup
Hello everyone,
I use an extended battery (5450mAh) setup complete with wireless charging and works with the factory cover!!! I typically have 35% remaining after being out 8-10 hours with no charger and moderate use.
Once I get 10 posts I will link the gear I am using but if you would like to PM me I will gladly send it ahead of time.
Or if ya want a battery the same size of the original OEM battery, I'd say with a Beltron from eBay it's only 10 or so bucks and a 3000mah, my oem batt has the defect where the phone shuts off completely at 10% o matter what version of android or rom I'm on, this one hangs on and last forever at 1% and there's no false claims of a bigger size, I'd probably even say it's better than the oem one... http://www.ebay.com/itm/251842830321 had it for a year and a half and it's stayed true to it's claimed size and life giving me no problems!
Also I'd say this is a must I'm happy with it: http://www.ebay.com/itm/172341339549 it charged my 9000mah ZeroLemon perfectly fine from late yesterday afternoon to this morning and half the price of the official oem samsung version of the samsung and great life saver when ya have multiple batteries.
I'm going to get this Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 24W USB Adapter and see how it does for giving me a faster charging rate: http://www.ebay.com/itm/301913439056 rn for some dumb reason my phone hates low powered chargers and it won't even trickle charge on one overnight I'll just wake up to a dead battery the next morning unless I turn my phone off completely, this happens on KK, LP and MM. >_<!
Here's what I'm using - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i70xqUNoYVE
will the note 4 battery work on the note edge? Or are there diffrent? Can i use it, or is it not good for the phone?
Thanks.

I'm thinking of buying this as well. Could you please tell what's your usage and the screen-on time as well as the stand-by time? My current so called "official" Samsung battery gets charged from 0% to 100% in around 1 hour and the maximum I get from it is 2 hours SOT and 6 hours total...that's just sad, my S5 was a champ a few years ago. This isn't going to be super helpful, since my phone has just been sitting on my desk playing podcasts. Anyway, I'm at 66% battery after 7h 44m off the charger. Total "awake" time is 3h 20m. SOT is only 21 minutes.
I'm very happy with this battery, if that helps. I think the life is on par with stock - just no NFC.

This isn't going to be super helpful, since my phone has just been sitting on my desk playing podcasts. Anyway, I'm at 66% battery after 7h 44m off the charger. Total "awake" time is 3h 20m. SOT is only 21 minutes.

I never used NFC anyway (though I see how cool it can be, it just never got off). How long does it take to actually recharge the PowerBear from 10-15 to 100%? (I love that brand name lol)

I rarely get that low and mostly charge overnight, so I can't really say. I can tell you that I sometimes wait to charge until I get to the office and at around 40-50% and it takes maybe an hour to get to 100% with a 1 A charger.

Probably. I don't see how a battery can be different between the different models. If it's the same size then it's fine I guess.

Oh, I forgot. Do you have 4G always turned on or you have mobile data off unless you need to use it? And are those podcasts streamed online or played locally from an mp3 file for example?

Yes, works fine in my 900F. Much better than other aftermarket batteries I tried.
