Hey guys my phone after upgrading to 5.0.1 and 5.1.1 keep dying at 15%
Do I need a new battery? Is there a way for me to fix my battery stats so I can get more accurate readings that are closer to actual life left on the battery?
What would you guys recommend for a replacement battery?/brand

I had that issue and had to replace my battery. I was able to get a Samsung one on amazon but that was about 6 months ago. The new battery works fine. I tried using the old battery and it still does the same thing, dies between 15-20%.

Same here,
OP get a new one for $10 off amazon and call it good :good:
I just looked and the power bear one I bought from amazon is no longer prime eligible and is $19. I'm guessing any one you buy is going to be better than the original.

yeah but i got it for $10 with free prime shipping and I would guess you could get a different one of similar quality for $10. I've had it for about a month I was going through the same thing as you but it was getting worse it would shutdown and drop to 0% randomly when it said 35% . This new battery doesn't do that at all seems to last through the day quite well fast charging works fine... If it is important to you this battery does not have the NFC chip for google wallet and other stuff.

Which vendor did you buy it from, can you check. I wouldn't think its directly from Amazon.
Does your battery have to have an NFC chip in order to do NFC stuff? I always wanted to try Anroid/Google pay

Was sold by PowerBear LLC and fulfilled by Amazon and yes I believe the battery needs the nfc chip on this phone but I don't use it so I'm not 100% sure

Yep, me too. One thing I have noticed about batteries (cheap extra ones or the originals) is that if they give any kind problem I clean the contacts. I use the pointy end of a penknife or similar to carefully scrape the surface clean. same goes for both the phone and charger contacts.

Anyone got more info? Just bought this battery for thr o3x.
Use this battery now for weeks and it seems as it is a lil improved battery life wise. From a 10 hour use I could squeeze with those battery pack 12 to 15 hours. Still not acceptable but hey 2hours more is 2 hours more

Is this battery safe for the phone
Is this battery safe for the phone circuit? I mean damage caused by over current or over voltage? Does the battery comes with any warranty? Definitely the battery warranty should not cover damage caused by battery to the phone? I do not want to put my phone in risk for just some extra time.

Don't know if I just got a bad battery or what, but I bought one of these and the battery life is aboslutely terrible. I put it in the phone, left it switched off and charging for a solid 8 hours, then tried to use it. With Bluetooth on, WiFi off and the phone just sitting in standby it barely lasted 6-7 hours before I was getting battery warnings. I let it charge up again, thinking it might take a few charges/discharges for the battery to work correctly, but the next discharge was even shorter!
Did you wipe your battery stats when you changed for different sized batteries ?
Hey all, just thought I'd share my findings with these batteries I've found for sale on Amazon. All the dealers I found that sold them sell the same battery with the same product ID as our Skyrocket batteries, even though they're listed as Hercules batteries. Well, THEY WORK PERFECT. Charges perfectly fine in and out of the phone, has NFC, and the same quality as my original (They're OEM, so duh... haha). DEFINITELY recommended if anyone out there is looking for a cheap spare battery with NFC.
Here are the links for a few of the listings. The one I got was the last one the seller had, so those aren't available anymore, but there still are a few out there with plenty:

Sounds way too good to be true....3 batteries+charger for $13? I doubt they are original batteries (despite the picture used on the listing). Probably more likely the Hyperion brand or such. I am hearing that they (so far) are working well.
Notice that ebay auction says NOWHERE that they're original Samsung OEM batteries, just has a duplicate picture of them. People have been reporting that the non-OEMs being made don't have NFC and have charging issues.
Just posting my findings. There are probably more on Amazon, but those have what I've found so far.

It's recommended to give batteries a full charge after (I believvvee) a month of non-use. I keep this backup in my wallet for days and it still has a 100% charge. Batteries can hold a charge for quite some time.

Good to know. I might buy a couple spares to keep in my car and backpack.
but don't forget the old adage, if you don't use it, you lose it. id swap the battery every time you do a charge to keep them in rotation and in use.

I swap my batteries every time they die to prevent this from happening.
hey there...
I think my battery is damaged. it's inflated and with paying HD game it last less than 2 hours. while when I bought my phone I could play 4-5 hours of HD games.
now, since where I live, there are lots of useless Chinese fake batteries, I want to know which one battery is good and how can I make sure that it's orginal.
thanks.
Order straight off samsungs website. If you want you can register your phone on the Samsung website and get emailed a 50% off up to 50$ discount so the battery and wall charger will be 25$

+1 to that! But you may also want to consider buying a cheap spare to carry with you in case you run out of juice sooner than you can get to a charger.
Also, be careful not to buy batteries that are manufactured more than a year ago. It is a known limitation of Lithium-Ion/Polimer based batteries (used in most phones/tablets these days) that their capacity diminishes over time. Even if they are not used, in a year or so they start to "go bad" and are almost completely crap after 2 years. You'll get maybe 70% of the rated capacity, and they won't hold the charge well at all. It's not a defect, just a downside of the technology. You can mitigate this by storing them at 40% charge in a cool place, but how many stores are actually going to do that?
People speak very well of batteries ZeroLemon

thats the only option you have. they just include the case with a built in charger to wall so you can carry it around and have it not be exposed to the elements. That your only choice or could call your local oem samsung tech center to see if they might just sell you the battery itself.
Or you could order the OEM battery by itself, from the bay for $24 including shipping.

I'd like to know too...
For critical accessories like batteries,it's best to buy it from a Samsung store or Service Center directly with the guarantee bill. I've had my fair share of cheap $4 batteries that swelled up and had barely half the juice within 3 months. A good OEM battery will last you easily a year.
I got from here

The above links are not working. Can somebody share a new source, where i can buy a new genuine battery?

I asked local Samsung service where warranty repairs are made and there is the cheapest place.. Cheaper then any webshop i found.. About 20 USD in local currency..
Note Edge Extended Battery and Wireless Charging Setup
Hello everyone,
I use an extended battery (5450mAh) setup complete with wireless charging and works with the factory cover!!! I typically have 35% remaining after being out 8-10 hours with no charger and moderate use.
Once I get 10 posts I will link the gear I am using but if you would like to PM me I will gladly send it ahead of time.
Or if ya want a battery the same size of the original OEM battery, I'd say with a Beltron from eBay it's only 10 or so bucks and a 3000mah, my oem batt has the defect where the phone shuts off completely at 10% o matter what version of android or rom I'm on, this one hangs on and last forever at 1% and there's no false claims of a bigger size, I'd probably even say it's better than the oem one... http://www.ebay.com/itm/251842830321 had it for a year and a half and it's stayed true to it's claimed size and life giving me no problems!
Also I'd say this is a must I'm happy with it: http://www.ebay.com/itm/172341339549 it charged my 9000mah ZeroLemon perfectly fine from late yesterday afternoon to this morning and half the price of the official oem samsung version of the samsung and great life saver when ya have multiple batteries.
I'm going to get this Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 24W USB Adapter and see how it does for giving me a faster charging rate: http://www.ebay.com/itm/301913439056 rn for some dumb reason my phone hates low powered chargers and it won't even trickle charge on one overnight I'll just wake up to a dead battery the next morning unless I turn my phone off completely, this happens on KK, LP and MM. >_<!
Here's what I'm using - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i70xqUNoYVE
will the note 4 battery work on the note edge? Or are there diffrent? Can i use it, or is it not good for the phone?
Thanks.

For the usb port I would buy this one after a quick search on aliexpress too, the store has a good percentage of positive reviews and over 6000 followers.. so you should be ok with them to get a replacement in case of parcel lost or receive a damage one. Although I never got bad deals from sellers with these conditions.

Hi, they sent the wrong model and I haven't bought another one yet.. They sent the money back, but I'm still using the original one as it is still around 75% healthy and good enough to daily use for me.
But I would buy the same again if I was going to buy one now. The one they sent seems good visually, well packaged and brand new.
edit: about the one someone sent above, I saw bad reviews about that shop...
