Water Drop Effect Disabled - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S6

I downloaded a live wallpaper and assigned it to the luck screen. I didn't like it and removed it. When I went to go put back the water drop effect, it was greyed out and I could not enable it. Anyone have any ideas on how to get it back?

you are talking about the Unlock Effect menu, correct? Is the sparkling bubbles option available?

You need to set a stock Samsung wallpaper from the settings app for both lock and homescreens. Only a stock Samsung wallpapers will make the drop effect work again.

Thank your very much! That worked!

Can you Turn OFF Sound Effect on LIVE WALLPAPERS

Hi Guys
Any of you managed to Turn Off the Sound Effect when WEATHER is chosen as your Live Wall paper ?
I mean you can turn off the Sound Effect when you choose the Weather Widget but in the Live Wall Paper, I could not find a way to disable it it !!!
Go into Weather app ->> Menu button ->> Settings ->> Sound Effects.
Check that box and you should be good to go
EDIT: Oh, that might only work in the widget. Let me test it and get back to you
EDIT #2: Got it. Go to apply the live wallpaper in the normal way, then when you're ready to apply it, double click/tap the picture of the wallpaper. This brings up the preview of the wallpaper (red bar across top telling you this). You should see, in the bottom right hand corner, a Settings button. Tap that and you should see two check boxes, one for 'Sound'.

Where is that Thanks button then ?
Look by the other buttons by the 'Quick Reply' one
There isn`t a THANKS button available anywhere ?
Could it because I use the Classic view of the Forum ?

Get an app like Audio Manager to manage your sounds, vibration, and silent settings.
Thanks

You are the man only my second day with sensation and let me tell you that sound after every unlock had me at boiling point I never previewed the wallpaper just applied it so never seen that options bar I never post like this but had to sign up to say thank you my girl thanks you to now she don't have to hear me complain every time I unlock my phone
Sorry to bump a somewhat old thread, but I am having the same problem. I already found that checkbox on my own, but incredibly it has no effect! All I hear all day is the soothing melody of the didgeridoo, and it's beginning to become a bit closer to insanely aggravating. I'm running SynergyROM on my Thunderbolt. Anyone else have the same problem? I've tried switching back and forth, switching and resetting before switching back, etc. to no avail.

Wallpaper Centering

Anyone figure out how to properly center your wallpaper? The leftmost screen before Google Now seems to be "home" when I hit home, so any additional screens are to the right and cause off-center wallpaper. Really wish the wallpaper would center on the home screen and/or stay put.

[Q] Removing stock lockscreen widget

Does anybody know how to remove the stock sense widget on the lockscreen? I can put my own widgets on other pages but I can't remove the stock sense widget on the main page. Frustrating. Does anybody know how to do this? Or is it possible? I want to use dash clock.
I am curious about this as well and have not been able to find any info about altering the lock screen widget as stated above.
same here. Would like to get that nonsense off my lockscreen
I saw a post in another thread with a screenshot of a very clean lock screen, I have not found it yet though.

If you find it let us know. It might have been for a custom ROM, since the lock screen on stock in blinkfeed based I would assume flashing a ROM and not running blinkfeed would allow the us to change this BUT ideally I want to stay stock (with s-off/root) if I can, so here's hoping something can be worked out.

You should be aware that to use SlideLock you'll need to go to Settings > Security > No Lock Screen, or you'll slide your LS and then the Sense one is right underneath. Also, music controls don't work with SlideLock at this time.

I downloaded this and tried it too and the first thing I did notice was that it was just running over the default lock screen which is what I was hoping to avoid by just altering the default one to suite my needs. It is clean and simple though and I cant imagine it causing too much slow down, a lot of the options are locked though for a pro version that costs $2.73.

Unfortunately I cannot set that due to outlook group policy at my firm. However, after the first two times or so the original lock screen that was behind slide lock is now gone, which is great and unexpected. I will go to the official thread and look for this answer now but how can I disable wifi notifications on the lock screen? I blacklisted "system" and only allow a few apps but this continues to pop up, sometimes more than a handful at at a time.

the system checkbox is only whether you can edit whether or not you can see system apps in the view. Turn that checkbox on and select uncheck all then turn on what you need.

I've attached two screenshots, the first is an example of the annoying / unnecessary notification about my network, the second are the apps I have enabled. Any suggestions?

Click the system apps checkbox back on. Click the menu again and uncheck all. Click system apps checkbox off and then pick the apps you want to see notifications for again. I had the same problem

[Q] Edge screen pops up while in other apps and won't go away

So I've had the Note edge for about a week now. Now all of a sudden when I'm in the messaging app or eBay or most any other app. If I accidentally activate the edge screen it will not go away unless I exit the app I'm using and reopen the app. I have the Samsung wallet case I don't know if that may have something to do with it I didn't notice it before the case. Why is there not a setting to time it out. JUST AS I TYPED THIS I GOT A NOTIFICATION AND THE DAMN SCREEN WILL NOT GO AWAY. Anyone else having this issue or how can I fix it. I may just trade it for the note 4 if I can't resolve this.

There is a time out setting for the edge panel.
But what launcher are you using and have you tried removing the case and seeing if it happens.
Also what notification is it?
What launcher? What is that? Also I have not tried to remove the case and it does it in any notification or if I accidentally bring up the edge screen. and where is the time out setting

Since your unsure I would say it's the stock one.
And the settings are under
Settings > edge panel > information stream > time out.
if that doesn't work you can try to go into
Manage application and find cocktail and clear the default.
It will ease your edge panel settings

I just did that and it's still doing it. I don't know what to do. Also does anyone know how to get rid of the annoying call time while I'm on the phone and doing something else in another app? It is always in the way

Move it out of your way.
There should be an option to remove it. That's stupid to have to move a box around the screen. I have been able to swipe it a few times and take it off the screen but I cannot figure out exactly how I did it. Also problem resolved on my other problem I had to factory reset. not a good sign after I've only had the phone a week.

PSA: Accessing Hidden Menu Will Break Knock-On

Based on this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v10/help/knock-to-wake-t3239674
So far it's only a confirmed suspicion, but it's already happened to several people including myself. Accessing the hidden menu may break the knock on feature, even without doing any modification in it.
Possible Solutions:
-Hard Reset (100% working)
-Deleting Finger Prints (I've only seen this working on 1 person in another thread)
Please report if this has happened to you and if you've done something else to solve the issue. Thanks!
I go in the hidden menu a couple times a day to change RAT selection and have only had one issue. So I wouldn't say it's a 100% the hidden menu
Sent from my LG-H901 using Tapatalk
Nope, doesn't break it. Been in the hidden menu to access Engineering Mode a bunch of times already and knock-on works fine.
Went in there to unlock the APN fields. Knock-on works fine.

Guys, it only breaks, as I stated in another thread, if you open the IMS Settings (which causes a crash) in the hidden settings menu. It is 100% reproducible, but *ONLY* that setting causes the issue.

Nope that didn't break it either
@baymon - Funny how everyone notices this until you post a PSA about it then everyone has to try to rebuke it.
If it "breaks" (turns knock on, off) you can use the anycut type app from the play store and make a shortcut to the hidden menu knock on option to toggle it back on or off if you so chose (I turned mine off so it would stop turning on in my pocket).

Obviously we need more data on this issue, there could be other variables in play as well but that's why we're raising the awareness of the knock on issue.
@toastido haha it's all good.

I'm anxiously awaiting everyone now saying their knock on is broken ?
Didnt break mine! Thanks for the info to get into hidden menu though
nope mine still works but i do have issues with the screen in calls but thats it. but but was that way when i got it.
i think your hidden menu theory is good but my knock doesnt work but it stopped after i did a rest because the apn got messed up and it wouldnt let me add a new one. so i found this out this problem seams random as hell and if i turn knock pattern on to unlock the phone the knock works to turn the screen on but not off. i also noticed my second screen doesnt have the flash light on it when off anymore. so i will be doing a reset tomorrow unless anyone knows how to get the secound screen apps back when the screen is off. i think those apps are related to the tap on
It did break mine. Went to menu and hit apn unlock. No crash or anything. I noticed it not working immediatly. Knock code does still work.
I had the issue also, then did a reset. But I want to add to the issue that it didn't only effect knock on, but the touchscreen didn't register anything altogether when screen off. Meaning, the second screen can swipe when screen off to show the quick toggles, it did not work during that time.

mines the same no quick toggles
Mines the same no quick toggles but i found the answer with out rest on another post. i figured it out that its just something crashing the hidden menu doesnt matter what even force closing causes this problem. which is what i did seeing that the first time i used it nothing happened but the second time when the problem happened i cleared all apps and it stopped working. i'm guessing they disable it if something crashes it.
the knock on actually just gets turned off. Here's the quote for the answer make sure both knock on settings are on and it works instantly so no reboot needed.

Get yourself Quick Shortcut Maker, launch it, change the search type to 'Normal', search for 'Knock On', click on 'Settings', then on 'Try'. On the next screen, switch Knock On back and forth and see if that works.
