[Q] Steered in right direction - RAZR HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just recently got a Droid RAZR HD and I want to root it. I Jailbroke a number of iPhones/iPods, but this is different lol. After searching and searching, I'm lost and can't find how to root on my System Version. I've found some tutorials but they say for System Version XXX.XX.10.XXXXX and I have 15. Am I missing something? Can anyone link me to a tutorial for my System Version? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Model Number - Droid RAZR HD
System Version - 183.46.15.XT926.Verizon.en.US
Android Version - 4.4.2

[Q] Xoom 2 ME ICS Root?

Hi there guys. I have to admit that I'm a noob to the Motorola Xoom 2 and all the flashing business. I can flash roms on my Sammy G S 3 no problems but the Xoom 2 ME is so confusing.
So the question is this.. After receiving the OTA ICS update how can I root my device? Is it a case of having to downgrade somehow and root that way? Is it possible to take a ROM backup just in case anything goes belly up?
If it helps on the box it states that I have the Motorola Xoom 2 Media Edition MZ707-16
In the About tablet page it says the following:
System Version - 77.128.14.MZ607.Retail.en.EU
Model Number - XOOM 2 ME
Android Version 4.0.4
Build number 7.7.1-128_MZ607-14 <-- How has my model changed?
Guys I'm so confused so please help. All I require is to root and be able to factory reset in the event of some failure.
All help gratefully received,
Doozeman

I have XT925 International Version of Razr HD and I rooted using motochopper. It worked. You can find info here in XDA.

Are you planning on running stock recovery? OUDHS rooted for me after I flashed it... wasn't going to bother with stock at all but when I went in to make a nandroid it detected no root & prompted to see if I'd like to root, after which I made a titanium backup as well before cracking into some ROM's - worked like a charm. I assume CWM/TWRP does something similar. Rogers/Fido XT925.
Root method

Hello! I bought XT925 just a few days ago. It had JB 4.1.2 out of the box. I tried to root it for a few times without a sucess using several different methods found on the internet. Then I was sucessful with ˝motochopper¨ ! This is, as far as I know, only method to root XT925 with JB 4.1.2. On other android versions everything will work but on JB 4.1.2 XT925 only motochopper works. Phone works great after the root. Don't worry about using this on your device... Google out ˝motochopper.zip¨ Good luck

[Q] Can i root this phone?

Ok, my phone isn't on this website and this phone is the closest to it. I have a Droid RAZR Maxx HD. can this phone be rooted? Current phone versions are as follows:
System Version: 9.18.94.XT926.Verizon.en.US
Android Version: 4.1.2
Baseband Version: VANQUISH_BP_100730.151.64.17P
Build Number: 9.8.1Q-94
if so can anyone point me in the direction of where to find the root method? would the root method for the RAZR HD work for my phone or is every phone different? Also, are there any custom ROM's for my phone if i can root it. On all of the popular ROMs they seem to only support google and samsung devices. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
Yes you can. As for direction, it's been discussed extensively, you should be able to find the solution right in this forum.

[Q] Root XT1080

I currently own a Motorola XT 1080 (also known as Motorola Droid Maxx). I have spent about two weeks now trying to root my phone using guides I have found on here and other sites. However I keep running into either a problem with the guide being for android version 2.2 or earlier, or it not applying to my specific device. I am very new to all this, however I do understand what rooting means. If someone could type up or direct me to a guide for my device using android version 4.4.4 I would really appreciate it.
