Ok, my phone isn't on this website and this phone is the closest to it. I have a Droid RAZR Maxx HD. can this phone be rooted? Current phone versions are as follows:
System Version: 9.18.94.XT926.Verizon.en.US
Android Version: 4.1.2
Baseband Version: VANQUISH_BP_100730.151.64.17P
Build Number: 9.8.1Q-94
if so can anyone point me in the direction of where to find the root method? would the root method for the RAZR HD work for my phone or is every phone different? Also, are there any custom ROM's for my phone if i can root it. On all of the popular ROMs they seem to only support google and samsung devices. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
Yes you can. As for direction, it's been discussed extensively, you should be able to find the solution right in this forum.

Hi All,
I am beginner in rooting. I own Motorola Defy+
When I check my mobile status I found following information
System version: -45.0.2310.MB526.AsiaRetail.en.03
Model number: -MB526
Android version: -2.3.6
Baseband version: -EPU93_U_00.60.03
Kernel version: -2.6.32.9-ge281b6e

Now my question is how to identify Boot-loader version from above info?
And if anybody answer me how to root this mobile as I want to update my Android Version it will be great, even if someone point me towards any link which explains process which is easy to understand for beginners like me, then it will really helpful for me!
As from last 4-5 days I got confuse with various tools & various links, which one to follow?

I currently own a Motorola XT 1080 (also known as Motorola Droid Maxx). I have spent about two weeks now trying to root my phone using guides I have found on here and other sites. However I keep running into either a problem with the guide being for android version 2.2 or earlier, or it not applying to my specific device. I am very new to all this, however I do understand what rooting means. If someone could type up or direct me to a guide for my device using android version 4.4.4 I would really appreciate it.

Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. A quick search of the Droid Razr M device section allowed me to find this thread:
[GUIDE][FAQ][KK] How to Root, Boot Unlock & More
Upon reading the information at the start of that thread I regret to inform you that you cannot obtain root on your firmware, and you cannot downgrade your firmware, so unfortunately you're fresh out of luck in this case. The OEM's generally patch root exploits with each firmware release so it's best to double check on the availability of a root exploit for the next firmware update before you take the update. Sometimes a new root exploit will be developed, sometimes the firmware just can't be cracked. Unfortunately in your case there is no root exploit, or even the prospect of one. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, I wish you the very best of luck with your phone!

I just recently got a Droid RAZR HD and I want to root it. I Jailbroke a number of iPhones/iPods, but this is different lol. After searching and searching, I'm lost and can't find how to root on my System Version. I've found some tutorials but they say for System Version XXX.XX.10.XXXXX and I have 15. Am I missing something? Can anyone link me to a tutorial for my System Version? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Model Number - Droid RAZR HD
System Version - 183.46.15.XT926.Verizon.en.US
Android Version - 4.4.2

Howzit guys.
Firstly if this is not the correct place to post my questions please inform me or MOD can move it.
I am trying to get some information about this device:
LG G4 Stylus
Brand: lge
Model LG-H635
OS: Android 6.0 (32Bit)
what i require is some links or help or guides on:
How to root this device
How to install custom recovery
Where to get older stock/official versions of the ROM ie. KitKat or LiloPop or Marshmallow.
Any help or assistance would be greatly appreciated as my knowledge on the LG phones are very limited.
EDIT: Uploaded some pictures.
Hey, I have the same phone (H635), but unfortunately, the bootloader is not unlockable, so no one has created a custom recovery for this phone. I did have a temporary root with KingRoot, but there was a system update released on Tuesday that broke even the temporary root, so as of now, there isn't anything that can be done to the phone to mod or customize it.
If you have the opportunity to buy an American T Mobile model, that version has an unlockable bootloader, as well as custom recovery and roms available for it.
The only firmware I found on the internet for the H635 model is here, a version of Marshmallow: http://lg-firmware-rom.com/download/lg-g-stylo-h635-stock-kdz-firmware-h63520a/
Hope this helps answer your questions...
Cheers
