Dualshock 4 Controller - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey,
i hope someone can help me with this Problem.
I want to play some games on my S6 using my Dualshock 4 controller. But there are some issue.
When i pair my controller usingthe built in Bluetooth, then the controller works just fine for like 15s, then all inputs become really delayed (delay ~2s), assumed an input is even recognized. If i toggle the Bluetooth off and on, pair the controller again, then same thing: 15s ok, then horrible lag.
It seems like, that the Bluetooth goes into some power saving mode, but i dont know it.
I tried some of the recommended apps (sixaxis, bluez IME,...) but they just dont work with this New device or are just outdated for the DS4.

Can a bt keyboard + a bt mouse work at the same time?

I was planning to buy the original Samsung cover with the bluetooth keyboard integrated and since the optimal usage is to pair a bluetootht mouse I was wondering whether they can connect and work at the same time with the tab...
Yes of course.
I use the BT keyboard and BT mouse build by Motorola for his tablet and the both works fine at the same time.
But, I think the device need the BT protocol >2.0
I have a dinovo mini that has a touch pad and keyboard and both works like a charm, you get a mouse pointer and the keyboard works without any apps or stuff. Perfect for using your tab as a computer or media station

iPega gamepad in CM10.1p13

Hello,
This is probably a long shot but I was wondering if anyone running the latest official CM10.1 preview has an iPega Bluetooth gamepad and if it is with working for them? Mine was working when I was on CM 9.1 but not since I went to CM 10.1. It pairs but none of the apps that had worked with it before recognize the input using any input mode. Other than that the ROM seems to be fine and hats off to the devs for the great work. Thanks.
So it turns out that I am having the same issue with a BT mouse (MS 5000). It will pair but not connect. I have unsuccessful tried several things like resets, reboots, and some of the bluez related fixes posted on other forums related to this specific accessory. (From what I have read, bluez is not the method JB uses for bluetooth anymore so that did not work.)
The controller is supposed to just act like a BT Keyboard (in the way I have configured it). I am wondering then: has anyone running this rom successfully used a BT Keyboard or BT Mouse?
Thanks.
As a final update I sold the ipega and never did see it working on CM10.1. However I did pick up a Moga which works well with the universal drivers in the play store.

Dualshock 4 on Nexus 5?

Has anyone been able to get a DS4 control to pair to the N5 at all over BT? I dont mean getting it functional in games i just mean getting it to pair period. I have my DS3 working w/ the sixaxis app but my DS3 wont connect to my surface via BT so I decided to try my DS4 which works great. I tried to pair to my N5 and it shows as an available device but just hangs on "Pairing" and never goes anywhere.

[Q] Gamepad wont work.

Hi guys, sorry if thisis the wrong section cause this is half accessorie half troubleshoot.
Now to the part, that is bothering me.
Since, the dock has a built-in OTG port, i planned on playing some Asphalt 8 and PS1 games on it.
I got a wired Gioteck VX1 PS3 Controller.
Here's the problem:
Booting up Asphalt 8, it says that a gamepad is connected. When the race starts though, al the buttons are dead.
After some time, i pressed all the buttons on my dock and some buttons are working on the game instead of the gamepad.
Booting the PS1 Emulator is a bit different though.
I can map all buttons, exept the Dpads and the left analog stick.
Tried, USB/BT JoyCenter and it recognizes my gamepad but nothing happens.
Any help, would be welcome.
Thanks for in advance.
Omay, i just got on my hands an OTG for my Galaxy S4.
I connect the usb controller and voila!
It works natively, without any other apps.
So maybe, the problem is on the dock?
It can't override it to work or something?
Bump.
Bump.
Bump?

The NP works with Bravia sync and the Sony tv remote. You can navigate with the arrows, play, pause etc. I figured this out by accident.

Xbox 360 Wireless controller: works with the official wireless PC adapter. I've tested 4 controllers. Button mappings aren't the same as Bluetooth HID. R/L bumpers act as the R/L triggers. R/L triggers act as the X/Y axis of the right analog stick (mouse simulation). Other discrepancies.
Nexus Player Gamepad - Not perfect either. Uses standard Bluetooh HID mappings, but lacks a proper start/select button. Does not work properly with Soul Calibur.

Nyko Playpad Pro works perfectly, got 2 of them for $12 at gamestop:

Another Controller...
Two things to add to the list of things that work....
* The Gamestop Red Samurai. It is listed on their site as "Tablet Wireless Game Controller V2", here: http://www.gamestop.com/android/accessories/tablet-wireless-game-controller-v2/104425 I like it because it is $12 and has a rechargeable battery. I have a pair of these. I have only had issues in one game, but I have not tried too many of the games with this controller. Warning, when I went into the store, the two employees there had no idea what I was talking about, I brought up the web page, showed them the product and that they had it. I have been to two game stops that had it, and it is always in the back room, very odd...
For Remote:
* Logitech Harmony Smart Control. This is the fairly current one, it has a little black WiFi enabled emitter and a simple remote. I was able to get it to talk with my Nexus Player and I can do everything that I can do on the regular remote. Works great.

I believe the high-end Harmony (ultimate?) can also connect via bluetooth and registers as a bluetooth keyboard, which is pretty sweet.

harmony smart and harmony ultimate
both use the exact same hub
just different remote
all communication is done at the hub
the smart is working for me (with a workarround tutorial posted in the harmony forum)
(basically you add a windows pc and tell it you have a bluetooth keyboard, then map the keys in the activity)

I had to clear it's state. Power it on. Then press and hold the select button for 3 seconds. Then after that click the NES30 option on the nexus player to pair the device. It should work after that.
Ok I tried that last night and it would pair but then unpair a minute or 2 later. It would work and then I could load up a rom. However, 1 minute into the game it would unpair. It is a brand new controller.

I haven't noticed it disconnecting. I'll use it for a longer period and let you know my results.

I'm having a couple of issues with the button mapping. My play/pause aren't fulling working. How did you set this up? Did you pick Windows PC or what bluetooth device did you assign the controller for?
Thanks

yes thats correct
you can also map all the buttons in the harmony app
i have stop ff rw and a bunch more working
only one i cant seem to map is the letter (C)
as you need that in xbmc for contect menu to schedule a recording or delete one
OUYA Controller
went out and bought an ouya controller based on this thread
the description of it working with some games as exceptions is a bit misleading
its very flaky, disconnects frequently, sends incorrect button presses randomly, and just stops sending commands out of no where. as an example the trigger is used for gas in a car game, every 5-10 seconds you need to release and pull again or the car stopps as the trigger acts like its not connected.
now before you blame the ouya controller or the batteries
i have connected it to my nexus 72013, my nexus 5, my nexus 7 and my nexus 4
it works perfectly on all of them
and the nexus 5 and nexus 7 2013 are on lolipop 5.0
so the issue is with the nexus player rom
my nexus player itsself is not defective
all other bt devices (remote, keyboard, mouse) work fine without disconnect
to anyone thinking of buying an ouya controller based on this thread
dont waste your money
just wait for the asus controller to arrive
(too bad they dont sell them in stores, i hate online orders always 2-3 weeks to arrive)
Also the "measy rc11 air mouse" works very well (I have one that I used on a mini PC mk808)
