[Q] HTC One M8 battery drains while phone is off - Verizon HTC One (M8)

I have a Verizon M8 and if I charge it to full while it is on or off, the battery will drain completely in a day or 2 while the phone is still off.
The battery drains rapidly while the phone is on as well. I know many will say it is a bad battery but how is the battery draining while the phone is off?
The Verizon M8 does not have the fast boot mode in the power settings so when the phone is off I am stumped as to how the battery is losing power.

My phone lost 50 % battery overnight while turned off

What the title says. When I tried to turn on my phone in the morning, I heard the booting sound but display wouldn't turn on So I took out the battery and then put it back in and turned it on. It only had 2% battery, but when I turned it off in the evening (fastboot on), it had 50-60% Did anyone else had this?

I think this is more likely a calibration problem, not the battery itself. Happens a lot with my g2x but then the g2x had a bad battery driver. Try doing a battery recalibration (drain, recharge, wipe battery stats)

[Q] Moto G battery life question...

Hi,
So I recently bought the Moto G, so far I am liking... Just a question about battery life. I'm wondering if I am getting normal battery life, or is my phone defective.
I got over 5h of on screen time and over 7h of battery life from a full charge. Also the screen seems to be eating up most of the battery even though I have it on auto brightness and most of the time it is very low brightness.
Maybe this is normal, but i have heard people getting over 2 days of battery life out of this thing!
Thanks..
One more thing, when I first got the phone I began charging it with this random charger I bought, and when I plugged the phone in it immediately shut down, but it was still charging, however I didnt let it charge and got a different charger because I was scared to damage the phone. The charger I was using had 5.2V on it but the charger I'm using now has 5V on it and it is charging fine without apparent hiccups.
(I did not try out the battery performance on jellybean as I updated to KitKat as soon as I bought the phone)

[Q] New Battery Calibration

I bought a new battery for my oneplus one from vifocal.com and I think its original battery. The battery seems to be very poor. I use my phone for 1,5 hours from which the screen is on for about 1 hour and the battery has drained down to 50%. Yesterday as my phone went to zero I turned it on in recovery mode to keep the screen on as long as possible to really kill the battery and the screen stayed on for at least 2 hours. How is that possible if the battery indicator shows already 0%. Anyways I believe the battery drops down to 0% even really there is a lot of juice in the battery. Is there anyway to calibrate the battery so it would show the correct percentage and is there anyway to tell how big is the battery really? whether I got a fake one or not. thanks

I've had an opposite issue few times - phone was shutting down while it was show that it still had battery (20% was the worst case). I fixed it by discrharging fully, then letting the phone charge all trough the night. this was the recommendation that I found on OPO forums from someone from their team.

Battery Issues

I have something that's causing my battery to drain during the night . Around 3 a.m. I checked my phone and I was at 30% battery, opened up my recent apps list and closed all. When I woke up at 6:30 this morning my battery was down to 8%.
At home I am connected to a network extender.
I'm coming from an LG g3 and never this issue. With this phone being a non removable battery I'm trying to only plug it up and charge it when it's about to die. Unlike my g3 that I plugged up every time I went to bed.
I always charge my battery every night no matter the percentage. The way batteries are made now they do not require conditioning and draining to extend battery life. I have noticed that my phones seems to do better charging when there is 50-40% . Letting the phone get down that low all the time actually reduces how efficient your battery will be over the life of the phone. Also I never use my phone when charging. If I need to do something with it I will unplug then replug when I want to charge. Making the battery work while charging heats it up and can damage the cells of the battery. As for your battery drain between those hours it appears to me the phone must be having issues with the network extender and is constantly searching for the nextwork, maybe the extender wasn't staying connected to the nextwork? All this is imo.

Think you're a genius? Htc one xl battery drainage even when switched off

Hi, my HTC. One xl suddenly started draining juice, it didn't suffer any mechanical damage neither am I on a custom Rom. My HTC is unrooted and running 4.2.2.
Aside battery drainage (switched on or off) it also overheats and finally, it dosent charge when battery drains to zero(amazingly when battery drains to zero nd is not charged within 10-15minutes it won't charge again. I mean after a few minutes from shut down due to low battery it does not charge again). However after battery dies I have to take the battery out and boost the battery, plugged it back in the phone before it charges.
Thanks in advance as you try to solve this unique case.
