What the title says. When I tried to turn on my phone in the morning, I heard the booting sound but display wouldn't turn on So I took out the battery and then put it back in and turned it on. It only had 2% battery, but when I turned it off in the evening (fastboot on), it had 50-60% Did anyone else had this?

I think this is more likely a calibration problem, not the battery itself. Happens a lot with my g2x but then the g2x had a bad battery driver. Try doing a battery recalibration (drain, recharge, wipe battery stats)

The Update?
I feel like it has something to do with the update to 2.3.4. I've noticed a decline in battery since. Normally when it's idle the battery hardly moves but now I'm losing up to 6%/hr
No it has to do with battery calibration after flashing a new ROM. Just use a battery app to find your actual battery charge level. A full battery is 4200mA. So if you battery is at 3500mA, then you will know that you are really about 3500/4200 = 83% Compare that to the actual reading. If it is off, then you need to cycle you battery about 3 times (charge to 100% and let it die and charge again) to get more accurate readings. Don't turn it off before doing this otherwise you mess up the calibration, which is what is happening to you guys.
thanks for your answers first of all.
Black vision, i made a battery wipe in the recorvery et i also made an battery calibration at 100% . All of this has been done, so that's why i'm nervous and worried about it ....
i'm on InsertCoin sensation rom right now and it's the first time i notice that my battery still goes down even if i shut it off ou what ? i do'nt understand what's going on.
weird situation?
ok so yesturday i flashed over the new humble.
and well i left it charging iver night.
when i woke up my i disconnected the charger and took off.
when i checked my battery stat and what was using it.
my display was at 49%
i have never had it this low its always 75% and up.
and during the time.i had it down in the 40s. it hardly wasted any battery.
and now i restarted my phone and screen is back to 89% -.-
and i havent used it at all and ita been 4 hours and am down to 88% battery only with phon at idle in my pocket. ohh and i had data off..
wat is going on!?
You need to calibrate your battery. The easiest way to do it is to use the battery calibration app you can get from the Market. Put it on the charger and wait until it is 100%, and before you unplug it, run the calibration app and press the button. After it's done, take it off the charger. For best results, you need to then completely drain the phone without ever plugging it back in and then completely recharge it again without ever unplugging it. However, just doing the initial calibration will help you out a lot.
what do u mean the initial calibration?
and do u know why my display was really low? n stayed like that?
untill i rebooted
Hi. I dropped my phone and now the battery indicator does not work. I tried erasing the battery memory via recovery and even installed my rom from scratch (ARHD 6.2).
Basically, the phone thinks there is a full charge. If i let the battery drain (a few hours), the percent capacity will eventually drop from ~100% to ~5%. Then my phone will cut out.
Any suggestions? Seems hardware/battery related.
Not fixable?
Try drain the battery till you cant boot it... charge in power off from night till morning.... At the morning boot to recovery and wipe battery status...
I just get my phone after a repair and I see a battery problem: when my phone is charging, about 82%, growth stops. If I shuts down my phone and I back on, it displays 100%.
does anyone know why and what to do about it ?
Thanks
Happened to me once, it was charging rather long than usually, stucked at around 80%, rebooted and it showed 100%. And it depleted normally.
Another time was after flashing a new rom, there was an issue so i rebooted while charging at around 80% as well, rebooted and it showed 100%, but it depleted rather fast from 100% to 90% so i knew it didnt "fully" charge. but charge it the next day and it was back to normal.
So imo it shouldnt be an issue. but hows your battery life?? does it depletes rather fast? U can try calibrating it with battery calibrater which can be downloaded from market. But i read that ds phones calibrates itself after each charge. so no worries there.
Happened to me as well
I avoid rebooting now (unless absolutely necessary) to see that happen again. Ignorance is bliss
I think it may be the battery starting to wear off ??
Sent from my HTC Desire S using XDA
I have the same issue,
I wipe battery stats in recovery and now it's no problem
Thank you for your answers.
Maybe my batery begins to die but i will try to wipe the battery stats and i will see.:good:
I always have battery issues on my HTC HD7 with deepshining rom and i want to know if there is a fix for this without having to replace anything.
First scenario is that whenever i charge my phone from "Battery critically low" state it takes less than 2 hours to charge it to 100% but when i go out and use it for a while it goes from 100% all the way to 20% in an hour.
Second scenario is that I woke up today with full battery life on my phone but then i restarted my phone and it went to 65%.
Is this a battery problem,Rom problem or charger problem? Is there a fix?
