Having an issue trying to install new apps from Market place. When I finish downloading an app, and its trying to install I get an error saying that "installation unsuccessful" I try 5 different apps and all getting the same error...... I reboot my TF and also clear data and cache, and I am still getting this error. I have about 500MB left on my drive. No root and on the latest firmware. I was able to install couple of days ago.........Android is pissing me off.
This was something else i experienced with low space. I think its becausw the partition is full. try deleting a big app like google earth

Even tho I have 500MB left? Actually I was trying to download google earth and it was giving me that error. Is there a place where it tells me that Im close to over the limit in installing apps?
me too
I have the same problem in my Transformer and from I have seen only resetting the tablet to default solves it. But the worse thing is that it will reproduce after a few days. Perhaps a specific application that we are installing do this? But I don't know what application or if it is any other problem. Sometimes Android feels like windows 95, when more applications you install more likely it will break (in the last windows versions it will slowdown).
In my phone Galaxy S 2 suddenly I cannot record audio anymore, no matter what program.
There are other threads talking about this problem of not being able to install programs pointing that it reproduces (as me) but without clear solution.

Is there any way to at least install all applications after a reset from default from some type of list? (without root privileges)
Honestly, not sure that this has to do with my transformer, but my tf101 seems to be the only device affected by the following problem:
When i go to google play, if i try to install an app that i had purchased in the past, it stays stuck on download and doesn't even start. I tried to redownload the same apps on other devices (lg 2X for example) and it works fine. My transformer did work fine until last week as well.
I've got no idea of what could be causing this, any suggestions? I tried switching back and forth from different google accounts but the problem persists. Reinstalling google play didn't work either.
Edit: it would look like redownloading certain apks works, seems like it only doesn't work with larger apk files (> 2mb, but it may be a coincidence). I'm even more confused now
Edit2: The issue is definitely related to apk dimension. Can't install from market apks larger than 20mbs. How is this possible? i'm still on honeycomb stock to avoid the ics mess, and i can remember downloading large apks fine just few months ago. Any solution?
You could try wiping your cache, force closing play, and if you're rooted wipe market stats in Titanium Backup, that should probably fix it.
Also try the install button off of a computer, and then it sends to your tf, that might get it to work.
Regarding large files... is your wifi connection decent?
Also, make sure you are able to connect and login to Talk. The Play store doesn't work properly unless you can log Talk, been there a few times. With mine, even trying to install free apps would give a purchasing error because Talk connection was getting interrupted before logging in.
Hi,
I've had the s7 for a few weeks and it's been running fine.
For the last 2 days, it's been freezing and becoming unresponsive leading me to reboot it for it to become normal again. Sometimes it auto reboots itself.
I have realised that this mainly happens to my phone while I am using the Daily Mail app.
Any suggestions?
Running stock BTU firmware latest - I've tried a factory reset.
Remove the daily mail app?
Well, I could do that but I use the app daily, it's been working fine for weeks.
It can either be something has become faulty within my S7 or an app update on Daily Mail has made it happen.
I've removed the Daily Mail app, deleted the cache and storage of it and re-installed it to no avail.
Yea, so remove it completely for a week and see if the phone still does it, if not, it's the app
Use the daily mail site for now
Ok, I will remove it right now and test.
Thanks.
Just had a thought, the Oculus Rooms app had a problem update recently causing these exact symptoms
Uninstall "Oculus Rooms" and see if that solves it, it's getting stuck in an update loop that never ends, killing battery life, heating phones up, and killing performance
You rebooting the phone likely temporarily solves it until it tries updating again

I assume you mean the Gear VR services.
For some reason I not able to uninstall them via the Application Manager?

It's actually "Oculus Rooms" causing the problem, show System Apps in Applications manager, see if you can see it in there
Otherwise grab a package disabler from the play store and disable with that, don't need root, I use Package Disabler Pro
I can't see Oculus Rooms in System Apps and I just installed disable service from the play store.
I don't see it there either.
I do see Gear VR services and I've attached a picture.
If you don't have GearVR headset or used SideloadVR to enable it, it might not have been installed, not sure as I used SideloadVR to run it on mine
com.oculus.rooms
If you don't use GearVR, I'd freeze all the GearVR / Oculus stuff and see how you get on
Some tips here
https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyS7/comments/55280e/overheating_and_draining_battery/
I don't use GearVR headset or SideloadVR and I still can't seem to find com.oculus.rooms
I can't seem to find an app that would freeze GearVR / Oculus stuff without root.
I can see however that Gear VR Service has used 22% battery since last charge which doesn't seem normal.

Yep, that's seems to be the problem then
This is what I use, no root needed
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ospolice.packagedisablerpro&hl=en_GB
Top right 3 dots menu > show system apps > search from top search bar for "Gear" and "Oculus"
Check their boxes to disable, done
I've just seen this:
hxxp://www.sammobile.com/2016/10/02/oculus-updates-app-to-fix-rapid-battery-drain-on-samsung-phones/
Will the update be pushed out automatically so I wouldn't need to disable anything?
Check for updates, see if it fixes it
If you're not using it, might as well disable it anyway, free up resources
I don't know what I'm looking to update?
No updates are available in either Google or Galaxy play store and I can't seem to find the VR App.
Probably because you haven't enabled it with either SideloadVR or the Gear headset, so you can either use a package disabler and kill it that way, or use SideloadVR to enable it and update it that way
I don't have anything enabled on my phone to test different methods, until I get a GearVR, I disable all unnecessary services
Do I just download Sideload VR via the play store and them run it?
Reading the instructions would also be good
All the info you need is in this thread and on the apps description / google, instead of constantly asking questions, either disable it or update it
I've installed Package Disabler Pro and disabled everything with "Gear".
Nothing showed up with "Oculus".
I hope that's fixed it for me now.
Good stuff, fingers crossed, if you still have problems try removing that daily mail app
Sup fellas just posting this from my phone
Basically I rooted it with CFAUTO root I found on a site that seemed trustworthy due to its credibility found on various sites.
Root works perfectly along with Xposed for awhile but eventually a week later every single app will start force closing, or immediately fail to launch on touch. From instagram to KiK to play store itself.
Rebooting is not a good solution as it resolves into a boot loop.
This has been happening consistently for a few weeks. The only solution to get my phone back up and running is to do a factory reset (which in turn means setting everything up again to my preferences. )
This pretty much led me to leave the phone as it comes plus a few common apps and just rely on my iPad more.
Does anyone have a solution? I followed the tutorial down to the T. Video and guide. I'm considering switching to stock but want to see if anyone else had this issue or was able to fix it
I would say to use this guide.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ve...-to-notes-root-install-xposed-unroot-t3411039
Havent tried CFAUTO root, and I dont think its recommended.
I had a similar issue with apps force closing, though I didn't use cfauto root.
The issues I had, after finding out from much trial and error, was that after I rooted my apps would update before Google play services. This would cause problems because the updated apps needed the updated play services to run.
Revert back to stock, then make sure that Google play services is up to date before updating any other app. After play services are up to date, make sure your play store is up to date. Then go ahead and update all of your apps. Next reroot your phone.
Like I said before I didn't use cfauto root, but I hope this helps.
I sometimes write apps and install them to my devices.
Lately I've noticed that the apps seem to disappear.
I have turned off GOOGLE PLAY store scanning of external Apps - and it still seems to happen. It doesn't happen if I DISABLE GOOGLE PLAY and GOOGLE FRAMEWORK, but as I need them to have my apps connect to Google - I am forced to turn them on from time to time.... thus ending in apps being deleted.
Anyone come across this before?
Strange, my phone never uninstalls any apps. Although one of my cheap crappy phones kept deleting specific apps on reboot and deleting files, never figured out why.
Anyway, it shouldn't be happening, try resetting your phone and see if it still happens.
