SOT on CM11 and CM12 - RAZR HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm coming from the ever so lovely and old Motorola Razr Maxx, the first big battery so at the good days on Jelly bean I was getting about 8 hours SOT. How's it doing now with CM11 and CM12 for the GSM Razr HD? I find this phone going cheap brand new and thinking its a good buy considering CM support is still official. Are the stable builds as stable as stock roms? love the new Turbo but too pricey
Thanks for any inputs.

[Q] Cyanogenmod Question

Noob questions:
Can someone explain to me what it is? I heard about it for the longest time, but never cared enough to check into it. Is it just a super popular ROM? Do they have it for several phone models?
Before I got the Razr HD I had the droid X and droid X2, I was super into ROMs and all that crap. I would like to mess around with roms on the HD, their still aren't any out yet though right? I think CM10 is the most recent Cyanogenmod version, will this be available for the HD? Why is CM so popular?
Thanks for the info!

Start here: http://www.cyanogenmod.org/ There are very alpha roms available for both the XT925 and XT926 Razr HD already. Check the Development forum for details. Cyanogen is available for a ton of different phones, and have a lot of talented programmers giving up their free time to adopt to different hardware.

GT-19300 roms

Hey guys, could you recommend any roms for the international s3, because i currently have cyanogenmod 10.1, and the battery life just isn't long enough for me. I have tried other modded stock roms and the battery life was great, but the performance was not anything compared to cm 10.1 . I was just looking for a inbetween-sort of rom. Thanks!
I suggest you spend some time going through your device-specific forums to see what's available and give some of them a try

Rogers Razr Hd..do you recommend it ?

I'm big on custom ROMs and the benefits that come with them. I decided to get a Razr Maxx Hd for the supposedly amazing battery life and the exceptional reception, but so far I'm discouraged about what I've read about the available custom ROMs. Do guys recommend the non developer version of the Razr Hd? I've skimmed through the Development section and it seems that even if do get that bootloader issue unlocked through the Motorola website, a LOT of people seem to struggle with the basics such as Wifi and Camera CM10. I haven't bought the phone yet, but if i'm not going to have these two working perfectly then this is not the device for me. What do you guys think? Is this worth it? are there any satisfied fans who have the non developer edition ?

Does Mi4 have good customrom support?

I'm planning to jump from Oneplus One to Mi4, because of OPO's size. It's too big for me. I'he been using OPO for almost year, but I feel it's time for something smaller.
I love stock rom, and I'm using CM12.1 everyday. my question is: does mi4 have good CM/customs support? I don't think I would love MIUI, so the main thing is I want to have pure CM experience.
Is official/unofficial CM stable on Mi4?
Any other important things to know about Mi4?
Thanks
CM12.1 is not quite stable yet. Nightlies.
So you get the odd problem... at the moment it is occasional locks/reboots (1 or 2 per day)
Like you I struggle with mixing MIUI and Google. CM12.1 is pretty stock and runs fast.
you can flash all custom roms which are there for mi3. but only problem in few mi4's custom kernals are not working. other than that all works fine
Mokee is another good Rom for mi4.You should try it.

Have there been any improvements in S2 Skyrocket Roms since CM11?

Ok, so I last flashed my trusty old S2 Skyrocket in 2015 with CM11 4.4.4. It has worked great up to now but it is starting to show it's age and it is time for a reinstall.
I am curious if there are any better or newer roms that are stable out now? Or should I just stick to CM11? I looked at the rom section but it was hard to get a good read on the new roms without spending hours I don't have reading hundreds of pages.
The only complaint I have had is that the phone can be a bit slow at times, I didn't really notice this until playing with a newer but lesser speced phone (moto E 2015) with android 5.1 and noticed that it felt snappier and better then mine.
Is this due to 5.1 or the newer hardware?
Any suggestions for a good STABLE rom for 2017 Skyrocket flashing? Or just stick with roms from 2015?
