Okay, but when i saw those i've became surprised as i did not expect that the Tab 4 can get a taste of Sammy's Lollipop
can i use any of these on the 3g variant? (SM T531)
No, due to modem and bootloader differences
I have the SM-T535 LTE XEO version, can i flash the NEE version on it?
Yes mate!

You're going to be waiting for months, at least. First they're going to do the other models, which probably won't be until June, at least, and will be ongoing into July and probably August, if not longer. Then they'll slooooooowly start rolling out other regions. The build available now is for the Spain region, so I would be willing to bet the Italian language will be available, if that's your concern. And you don't need root to install these updates.
An example, I have an international model Galaxy S4 Active. The first LP update was released back in January, but they're still rolling out new regions, and even now there's only about 5 or 6 different regions available for a phone that is sold around the world in nearly every region imaginable. Since you especially don't have to worry about any specific carrier, what do you have to lose trying this update out?

I got mine from South Africa and I'm two updates behind too. Im seriously considering about rooting and flashing my s4 now. Its a shame because I love the stock rom, but if the updates are coming in so slow, and we get behind by another update, I definitely am flashing.
On a side note, maybe samsung will roll out updates to other areas using the most updated firmwares?

The Samsung Galaxy S4 might come with a large number of new features, but it seems that one of the new features contains a serious smishing (SMS phishing) flaw. Samsung's "cloud backup" feature was found to be improperly secured, and can exploited by malicious software to send fraudulent or fake SMS messages while pretending to be the identify of any contact or organization, without the owner of the phone realizing.
This exploit was discovered by Chinese Internet security firm Qihoo. According to Qihoo, Samsung has already been notified of this issue, and is already in the process of fixing the issue. Qihoo also added that users can avoid being exploited by this vulnerability by turning off the "cloud backup" feature when it's not being used. A temporary fix has also been made by Qihoo 360, and can be deactivated once the security flaw has been patched. Current Samsung Galaxy S4 users of Qihoo's latest Android app are protected against this exploit.
Wonder how long it takes for us Nords to get it.

I'm downloading the Netherlands version (I presume you used the German one) and try without the .pit and wipe, if it doesn't work - then shall I apply the .pit.
Do these carrier branded firmwares include lots of bloatware?

TNL has a fair bit of bloatware, but nearly all can be deleted. About 7-9, I believe. The My T-mobile app and Travel&Surf app are not relevant to the actual network functions (they're Dutch-only account apps) and can be safely deleted.
Should be a few other Dutch junk apps as well, such as scoupy and HRS hotels. If you find an app but you're not sure what it is, I can probably tell you. (And if not, I can ask the dev team.)
Oh, it does have a very annoying startup jingle. Mind the volume if you reboot at night

TNL is build from PHN, which is the same size as BTU. You shouldn't need a pitfile if you're on an Unbranded western EU rom.
It's non-wipe.

So seems like Unbranded to Branded is a no go. Flashed back Poland Unbranded BOB6 and phone is now booting.
VoLTE
Does this ROM have VoLTE, like the previous version (OC3)? BOB6 doesn't, and some say Samsung opted to enable VoLTE only for some countries (for which OC3 was created).

I said Unbranded Western EU ROM. XEO always has size issues with western ROMS, particularly DBT/BTU/PHN/XEF (which are basically all the same).

My phone's default is DBT (Germany), then flashed with the Unbranded 5.0 Poland as even to this date there is no released DBT 5.0 firmware. Anyway, no harm was done.
I am on Poland unbranded BOB6 5.0 right now.
If I intend to flash this directly with the PIT file, will I lose all my files?
Which PIT file should i use to upgrade from the Polish BOB6 to this? I've tried both PITs mentioned on this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/general/finally-official-5-0-firmware-galaxy-t3029557 (page 114) to no avail.

Hi,
I am getting somewhat unhappy with the lack of official updates for my unlocked SM-G920F (DBT) S6, which I bought from Amazon Germany. Looks like the UK variants have a much more recent BTU firmware dated January 2016, while mine is stuck with October 2015 update.
PhoneInfo shows the following:
Product code: SM-G920FZKADBT
Original CSC: DBT
Firmware's CSC: DBT
Active CSC: DBT
Bootloader: G920FXXU3COI9
PDA: G920FXXU3COI9
CSC: G920FDBT3COI6
Baseband: G920FXXU3COI9
Would it be possible for me to flash the latest official BTU firmware without tripping Knox?
Many thanks for your comments!

Switching is not going to help you as the BTU version is just as old as the DBT version. COI9 is the latest release for both countries.
You will have no benefit by switching to BTU.
It seems that since October, Samsung has only updated the carrier versions of their builds and not the Open/carrier independent versions.
There is one notable exception, which is the NEE version for Denmark/Sweden. This at least has the security updates dated Dec. 1 and is, aside from Marshmallow, the best you can do for the SM-G920F.
What I did was just flash NEE on top of the existing firmware (in my case BTU). That provides a mixed CSC version for the time being but can be healed by flashing BTU again, when Samsung finally comes out with a new firmware.
What I would recommend for you to do is to complain with Samsung. I have emailed them and made it clear that they promised monthly security updates in August 2015. Their promise is what prompted me to purchase the Samsung S6 in September. After the purchase, they delivered exactly one monthly update for it, then 4 months of delivering nothing.
They have not kept their promise and I suggest you (and everyone else who is upset by this) let them know. In my case I have also asked them for a return of the phone.
This is also something I will now attempt to initiate through my dealer.

You are right, the latest BTU is the same G920FXXU3COI9 :|
I already complained to Samsung twice, the last time was yesterday, but they were not forthcoming. I also bought the device hoping for the monthly updates, but didn't get any since October 2015.
And it's only going to get worst for updates as they be very few & far between for the S6 this year once the S7 is launched.
Yeah, this is kinda sad.

Quite honestly the S6 is the best phone I've ever used and I would love to keep it. But the update policy, especially considering the promise Samsung made, is not acceptable. I'll keep you updated on my attempts at returning it.

Thanks! I thought about returning mine, but won't even try: it's easily one of the best phones for the money, the only alternative for me would be an iPhone 6/6s, and I'm not prepared to go that route

I just received a response from Samsung basically telling me to f*ck off and contact a local repair shop. Sent them the following:
Hi,
Many thanks for your response! Unfortunately, my location (Cyprus) is not on the list. Moreover, I own a factory unlocked and carrier-independent EU version sourced from Germany (DBT), which does not depend on the local carriers.
As far as I can see, the latest update for Galaxy S6 (DBT), as well as for the UK unlocked and unbranded version of Galaxy S6 (BTU), is G920FXXU3COI9, dated October and September 2015 respectively - I checked Sammobile, XDA forums and other Internet resources to verify this. My understanding is that no further updates have been released to the aforementioned unlocked and unbranded EU versions, either DBT or BTU, thus my question is: where are the November 2015, December 2015 and January 2016 security updates promised by Samsung and "released" on paper?
I bought the device based on the promise that it would get frequent security updates, only to face another letdown by Samsung. I would appreciate an explanation and an estimate of when the above updates will become available to my device.
Thanks!

Downloading and installing the APK wouldn't help so save yourself the time and trouble.
AFAIK, the beta program was suppose to end on Dec 15 anyways but even if it's still running, you cannot enroll in it because they reached the maximum number of beta testers.
In addition, the beta only opened for a small number of markets (UK, US, Korea) determined by the specific carrier's firmware (in case of the US SD820 variants) or specific CSC (for example the BTU variant of the SM-G930F)
At the moment the options you have are as follows:
1. The stable route - flash your device to the latest 6.0.1 release from the XSA (Australia) or BTU (UK) using ODIN - these seem to be getting the first rollouts of new versions - and wait for the official 7.x release which should arrive in the next few weeks - note: flashing a different CSC firmware may cause some carrier issues (lower speeds, loss of VoLTE and WiFi calling, etc..)
2. Flash the official ZPK1 (Beta 1) BTU Android 7.0 beta with Odin - it contains Nov 2016 security patches and has some quirks (and same note as before regarding the CSC )
3. Flash an unofficial ZPL3 based rom and trip knox (this may affect your warranty depends where you live) - not sure about CSC selection (I guess it varies by the ROM)

yes offcourse you can undo
just download stock fw via sammobile.com/firmware
use odin to downgrade
make sure you are not having sprint/att/verizon version of edge
mean you must have unlocked international version of s7 edge and knox must be intact

Its European and Asian version I think, SM-G935FD. Also its in warranty, If I downgrade it using this method, Will it void its warranty?

no stock firmware downgrade with odin flash tool does not void your warranty
