In Android-hilfe.de they say it is an OTA of about 30 MB and the changelist is "improvements in stability"

I got mine from South Africa and I'm two updates behind too. Im seriously considering about rooting and flashing my s4 now. Its a shame because I love the stock rom, but if the updates are coming in so slow, and we get behind by another update, I definitely am flashing.
On a side note, maybe samsung will roll out updates to other areas using the most updated firmwares?

That's not a changelist. Changelist is the little string of numbers. What you're referring to is the typical changelog.

Due to this?? Sorry I am a noob poster and cant post link.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 might come with a large number of new features, but it seems that one of the new features contains a serious smishing (SMS phishing) flaw. Samsung's "cloud backup" feature was found to be improperly secured, and can exploited by malicious software to send fraudulent or fake SMS messages while pretending to be the identify of any contact or organization, without the owner of the phone realizing.
This exploit was discovered by Chinese Internet security firm Qihoo. According to Qihoo, Samsung has already been notified of this issue, and is already in the process of fixing the issue. Qihoo also added that users can avoid being exploited by this vulnerability by turning off the "cloud backup" feature when it's not being used. A temporary fix has also been made by Qihoo 360, and can be deactivated once the security flaw has been patched. Current Samsung Galaxy S4 users of Qihoo's latest Android app are protected against this exploit.

Wonder how long it takes for us Nords to get it.

Stock Update JB 22-FEB-2013 Samsung Official release schedule

The Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is getting bumped up to Jelly Bean.
Samsung's official schedule is ...........
22-FEB-2013 !!!
Subject to change........
http://www.phonearena.com/news/Sams...axy-Note-S-II-in-March-Ace-2-in-April_id39393
So we should expect test releases very soon
This could very well be an OTA file, instead of a full ROM tarball.
We would need to find the base Ukranian firmware. Maybe keep changing CSC on Ukraine stock until it shows OTA available.
Thanks for the news, GOD I hope its in a few weeks..

Could,be,but the update will have to be extensive, since we need a new kernel, and boot (to fix the brick bug) as well as OS

Heads up last night I saw Japan Tab 7.0 Plus Kies Update from @SamKiesUpdates,

edit: thats the tmobile Note getting JB not Tmo tab plus..
Rolling out.. Confirmed here.....
http://www.pocketdroid.net/samsung-...d-receive-jellybean-updates-japan-ntt-docomo/
Edit: may be reported incorrectly other people reporting its 4.0.4 with a build.number of IMM76D.OMMP4 instead of beginning with J
While I dont think we should start ripping this apart and bricking devices attempting to port,
I think our JB is on its way soon..

The release of official JB will help with the CM based ROMs too, they can update their libs and kernel and fix some of the bugs

Don;t be silly, the 6210 will probably be one of the first to update, they don;t have to clear with a cell provider first.
The UK P6210 was the fist to get ICS 4.0.4 , so we will be watching for a UK update to JB
Welp, I searched for a base Ukraine firmware previously and there was none not even HC.
Samfirmware just posted a 4.0.4 Ukraine (Kyivstar) firmware and Kazakhastan 4.0.4 firmware.
They are dated Sep/Oct though..
good news to me..

That is indeed good news. Samsung is trying to get everyone (P62xx) up to the same baseline before the JB update.
There is also a recently posted China update for p6210
PDA: P6210ZCLPC
CSC: P6210OZHLPC
Version: 4.0.4
Date: 2013-01-28
I would expect the updates for P62xx Tab 7 plus to come out about the same time as P68XX Tab 7.7 since the hardware is very similar.

Samsung is pushing out all the 4.0.4 builds to get everyone on the same baseline before JB 4.1.2 starts rolling out.
Although not the quickest release (us customers are never happy) I am glad that Samsung is pushing out something for the p6200 - I am glad we have not been forgotten....

You're going to be waiting for months, at least. First they're going to do the other models, which probably won't be until June, at least, and will be ongoing into July and probably August, if not longer. Then they'll slooooooowly start rolling out other regions. The build available now is for the Spain region, so I would be willing to bet the Italian language will be available, if that's your concern. And you don't need root to install these updates.
An example, I have an international model Galaxy S4 Active. The first LP update was released back in January, but they're still rolling out new regions, and even now there's only about 5 or 6 different regions available for a phone that is sold around the world in nearly every region imaginable. Since you especially don't have to worry about any specific carrier, what do you have to lose trying this update out?

New Firmware 5.0 N9005XXUGPOF3 NEE (Nordic Countries)

Hey,
There is a new firmware 5.0 for our Note 3 : N9005XXUGPOF3
CSC : NEE
Anyone has tried it ?
Changelist is lower than the KSA Version
PDA: N9005XXUGPOF3 CSC: N9005NEEGPOF3 CHANGELIST: 4935104 BUILD DATE: 17.06.2015
PDA: N9005XXUGBOEA CSC: N9005OJVGBOE4 CHANGELIST: 5020004 BUILD DATE: 29.05.2015
Yea but it's builed after BOEA (KSA)
Changelist is more important, not the build date!!!
Gesendet von meinem SM-N9005 mit Tapatalk
And this is lower- changelist
I've seen several official roms released with different rom and kernel filesizes and with same changelist.
Highest changelist may not be the latest version of Android, if the required changes are for specific countries only.
I need the Modem and Bootloader from this rom please.
There is a newer one (higher changelist) and is latest Brazilian's one (see screenshot)
I installed the new firmware. N9005XXUGPOF3_N9005NEEGPOF3_NEE
first impression:
* stable
* google applications have been updated to the latest version
I do not care changelog number.
it's just a number and i don't know what criteria is placed.
I watch the build data and this firmware is the latest. ( Build date : Wed, 17 Jun 2015 09:30:11 +0000 )
Do you know if I can downgrade from this rom to Kitkat ?
Does this update get rid of the delay while clearing recent apps? Heard the last Indian update for Exynos units solved the problem (or at least minimised it), so wondering whether this one does that or not.
Unified Daemon bug is still in this Rom... :/
Are you sure about the Unified Daemon bug? I installed the Nordic ROM two days ago, and usage only shows 17KB. Fair enough on the first day battery drain was fast, but it seems to be settling down and has now lasted longer. Pulled it off charge this morning and after four hours of emailing, surfing, and watching a Netflix movie battery is at 90%.
And for devilsdouble , yes it does get rid of the delay clearing recent apps. I found that annoying too.

Exactly. It's pointless to think that Samsung would build something later in time with a lower changelist. The only difference in changelist is different region, or Carrier implementations. XXU (Europe, or EMEA in a way) has most of the attention, i've always noticed changelist number differences with the Americas version (Brazil, and mostly South America) and also the Asian ones (Malaysia, Philippines, Taiwan, Singapore and Honk-Kong). All that means is that Samsung has split this in to three pools of maintenance who seem to merge once in a while.
Basically i think it's useless to compare the changelist from different regions, for the sake of Modem/Baseband/CSC compatibility, i'd always go with the region your phone is made for initially.
EDIT: anyone got a mirror yet?
I've recieved an official update on my Note3, now my baseband /bootloader /pda/ is N9005XXUGPOF3, while the CSC is N9005NEEGPOF3. I live in Italy
The phone is still stable and smooth, but the battery leakage is crazy.
I would like to root the phone and install twrp to put on some custom rom. Does anybody know if and how I can do it?
I was checking about chainfire root method and i have to choose one of those too,
SM-N9005 (International Qualcomm): CF-Auto-Root-hlte-hltexx-smn9005.zip
(only works on 4.4 bootloaders, if you're still on 4.3 use the old version which you can find here:...)
Which is my bootloader version at this time?
Can I use safely the 4.4 bootloader version?
How should i procede to root the phone?
Why starting a new thread when there's already one?

Flash SM-G920F (DBT) with the latest BTU firmware - possible?

Hi,
I am getting somewhat unhappy with the lack of official updates for my unlocked SM-G920F (DBT) S6, which I bought from Amazon Germany. Looks like the UK variants have a much more recent BTU firmware dated January 2016, while mine is stuck with October 2015 update.
PhoneInfo shows the following:
Product code: SM-G920FZKADBT
Original CSC: DBT
Firmware's CSC: DBT
Active CSC: DBT
Bootloader: G920FXXU3COI9
PDA: G920FXXU3COI9
CSC: G920FDBT3COI6
Baseband: G920FXXU3COI9
Would it be possible for me to flash the latest official BTU firmware without tripping Knox?
Many thanks for your comments!

Switching is not going to help you as the BTU version is just as old as the DBT version. COI9 is the latest release for both countries.
You will have no benefit by switching to BTU.
It seems that since October, Samsung has only updated the carrier versions of their builds and not the Open/carrier independent versions.
There is one notable exception, which is the NEE version for Denmark/Sweden. This at least has the security updates dated Dec. 1 and is, aside from Marshmallow, the best you can do for the SM-G920F.
What I did was just flash NEE on top of the existing firmware (in my case BTU). That provides a mixed CSC version for the time being but can be healed by flashing BTU again, when Samsung finally comes out with a new firmware.
What I would recommend for you to do is to complain with Samsung. I have emailed them and made it clear that they promised monthly security updates in August 2015. Their promise is what prompted me to purchase the Samsung S6 in September. After the purchase, they delivered exactly one monthly update for it, then 4 months of delivering nothing.
They have not kept their promise and I suggest you (and everyone else who is upset by this) let them know. In my case I have also asked them for a return of the phone.
This is also something I will now attempt to initiate through my dealer.

You are right, the latest BTU is the same G920FXXU3COI9 :|
I already complained to Samsung twice, the last time was yesterday, but they were not forthcoming. I also bought the device hoping for the monthly updates, but didn't get any since October 2015.
And it's only going to get worst for updates as they be very few & far between for the S6 this year once the S7 is launched.
Yeah, this is kinda sad.

Quite honestly the S6 is the best phone I've ever used and I would love to keep it. But the update policy, especially considering the promise Samsung made, is not acceptable. I'll keep you updated on my attempts at returning it.

Thanks! I thought about returning mine, but won't even try: it's easily one of the best phones for the money, the only alternative for me would be an iPhone 6/6s, and I'm not prepared to go that route
hey, of course you can flash btu firmware on german handset. that's what i always do after buying samsung's phone. it's the cleanest one with no bloat.

I just received a response from Samsung basically telling me to f*ck off and contact a local repair shop. Sent them the following:
Hi,
Many thanks for your response! Unfortunately, my location (Cyprus) is not on the list. Moreover, I own a factory unlocked and carrier-independent EU version sourced from Germany (DBT), which does not depend on the local carriers.
As far as I can see, the latest update for Galaxy S6 (DBT), as well as for the UK unlocked and unbranded version of Galaxy S6 (BTU), is G920FXXU3COI9, dated October and September 2015 respectively - I checked Sammobile, XDA forums and other Internet resources to verify this. My understanding is that no further updates have been released to the aforementioned unlocked and unbranded EU versions, either DBT or BTU, thus my question is: where are the November 2015, December 2015 and January 2016 security updates promised by Samsung and "released" on paper?
I bought the device based on the promise that it would get frequent security updates, only to face another letdown by Samsung. I would appreciate an explanation and an estimate of when the above updates will become available to my device.
Thanks!

Im on PB6 too. Samsung should release the next update with april security patch within the next few weeks
Does the location and language settings used for initial setup has anything to do with the delay of the updates? Just curious to know, where do guys get the International version in USA?

global version (930F) is available at swappa dot com, Best Buy, and B&H Photo/Video
Been on APB6 too on my G930F for a while. It's an international version I got from eBay, using it on prepaid. Initial language setup was set as united kingdom but I changed it to united States. I'm a bit jealous hearing other European origin variants got updates

G930FD here. Duos version. Didn't expect the updates to be so quick. Already on April patch. While my Duos G4 isn't getting quick updates as promised by LG. LG only gives priority in updates only for the International(Single SIM) version. But Sammy's case is quite unexpected.
Ditto here, but still on PB4 / Feb patch. (G930F)
I've only had it a few days, but this is the only reason I got this one over the carrier variant. Meanwhile T-Mobile and Verizon have already released updates with the April patch.
Lovely! ....

Mind if I ask where you are located, roughly? Still on the Feb PB4 patch here with no signs of an update no matter what I do...
edit: nevermind, maybe I should look under your name
