Greetings,
could someone more experienced advise if there are cell broadcast (network messages sent by provider) settings on the Sony Z3 (Lollipop). I tried to find the settings but could not. Could someone also advise if the channels are configurable? I remember that on Sony Sola (with 4.x Android, don't remember exactly which version that was) there were such settings.
Thanks!

I am unable to find exact GPRS settings for my SE Xperia Neo V MT11i.
My Operator is BSNL and on cellone site, it displays settings only Neo MT15a and MT15i. Tried these settings but not satisfied with the speed and also had to make Data access on and off quite often. Somtimes BSNL Live APN works while sometime BSNLNet is working fine but 3G speed is not as expected.
If these settings of SE Xperia Neo are good for Neo V too ?
Do I have to make some changes to APNs' settings manualy?
Kindly guide.
start the setup guide and follow it till the end and let it download the apn settings automatically
Hello Sony Xperia Tipo Dual...
Before I buy Tipo Dual phone, I need information :
I am planning to install an application to autoforward any incoming sms to SIM1 and SIM2 to http request (a website) , via WIFI (not 2G , not 3G) connection.
Could it uses a WIFI HOTSPOT at the same time when SIM 1 and SIM 2 standby and ready to receive any sms ?
thank you for your information.

Hi All,
I just bought a Z3 (Specs listed below) and when I go to Settings -> More -> Mobile Networks I don't see the service provider option. I am new to sony devices and was wondering if there is any way to enable that menu option? I am currently roaming and would like to choose the provider I am roaming with.
I only see the following:
Mobile Data Traffic
Data Roaming
Network Mode
Access Point Names
Xperia Z3 Specs:
Model D6653
Baseband: 8974-AAAAANAZQ-00022-21
Build Number: 23.0.1.A.5.77
Android Version: 4.4.4
Resolved
Ok, so it turns out that when you are using AT&T and you travel to Canada / Mexico, they block the select service provider feature due to pre negotiated agreements with certain carriers. Called ATT Roaming team and they sent an update to the phone and brought back the menu.
Just incase anyone else runs into the same issue!

Hi all,
I have tried searching around for this answer but really struggling so any help will be greatly appreciated, please!
Yesterday I rooted my Xperia Z2 (D6503). It is working in as much as calls, 3g etc. SMS refuses to play ball, whenever I send a text it says "Could Not Send" and I cannot receive either. The service centre is correct and I have followed the post 6 here to reset it to the correct value for Three UK.
The ROM I used was downloaded from XperiFirm and was "United Kingdom, customized UK 23.4.A.1.232 / R8C." The phone was also loaded with "UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46" and "Z2-lockeddualrecovery2.8.21-RELEASE.flashable." Root is working fine.
The only thing I can think of is that the GSM band is wrong for some reason as SMSs get sent on that and not 3/4G. I did find a way of checking and it stated something like "USA GSM Band" but I can't remember how I did that now, I think it was a *# code. Based upon this I tried using the guide by olokos found here to unlock all bands on my phone but I get stuck at part 13 (unlucky!!) because I cannot for love nor money find Xperia Z2 Diagnostic Drivers.
Many thanks in advance for any help!
TL;DR; Rooted my Xperia Z2, all works fine except SMS which refuses to send or receive.
Sometime I use Z3 D6616 with not a simcard other than from T-mobile. And as result I have to set Access Point Names for Internet setting manually and it will be lost just after I change simcard. Is there somehow to get auto Internet setting on D6616 similar to no carrier Z3?
One more question. Can I use Z3 D6616 (T-Mobile US) with simcard from T-mobile Netherlands?
Many THX.
