Does the Z1C have a reset button near the sim tray like the Z3C? You could try pressing this?

Hallo everyone,
I have a motorola Xoom wifi (mz604 i guess)... Once (almost 1 year ago) i installed the touch recovery and a ICS stock rooted rom.
It worked always fine.... today I went to check my email, and the xoom was off and i couldn't turn it on... I thought it was the battery, but when the battery is empty, when you try to turn the xoom on you see a red blinking led on the top (next to the front camera)...
But i put the xoom to charge, (the white led on the bottom went on) and when i came back home the led was green.
I tried to turn the xoom on, but surprise, nothing, no reaction, then y plugged the charger once again, and the bottom led went green, but i still can't turn the tablet on.
I tried all keys combinations that are possible.... Power + Volume up, Power + Volume down, Power + Volume Up and Down, Just volume down, Just volume Up, both volume keys...
Then i tried to connect the xoom to the PC, and also no reaction, nothing in the Device Manager.... (i have Windows 8)
Someone have an idea to solve this problem? Or is my tablet really dead?
Thank you very much.

Might sound a bit basic, but when you did the key combinations, did you hold the buttons down for 5-10 seconds? I think power plus volume up is reset button.

Hi Luinwethion,
My Xoom is in the same state you described. It happened this morning. There is a white light while charging and a green light after some time. I didn't get any response, with any keys combination.
Have you fixed yours?
Can you send me any tip to bring it to live again?
Thanks in advance.

Take the back cover off, on the bottom side of battery there are two wires-black&red- take them off the socket for 10minutes, when you connect it back again xoom should work!
Quick q: do you hear that click sound when pressing power button?
I have the same problem , my xoom went off without doing anything and it doesn't boot up!
does the disconnecting battery fix the problem ?
What rom you;

I'm in the same boat - the Xoom (USA WiFi) hung up while playing music - I rebooted it (power+up volume) it recovered, but then all the apps started crashing - I rebooted it again and it did not boot - just a blank screen. Battery light shows a charge when connected to a charger.
Does someone have instructions on how to remove the back cover?
Tom

Hi guys !
My HTC One S died yesterday just before going to bed.
It was 10% battery, I used it for 10-15mn and it went down to 3% and then 1% and shut down just before I plug it to the wall charger.
I let it there for 5mn and tried to power it on but nothing happened. I noticed that the charging led was not even working.
I let it overnight charging and this morning, still nothing. I tried to enter bootloader with power+volume down, nothing happen
This morning, I tried :
- 2 hours usb charging, not detected by the computer, no led, won't start even in bootloader
- 2 hours wall charger charging. Still no led, won't start
Any idea on what to try ?

Ok, simulated battery pull.
hold the phone under bright light (sensor see's the light and allows to power on, something about a feature to prevent resetting while the phone is in your pocket). press power button, press and hold power button if that doesn't work.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe it is locked up, and really has been charging. Press and hold power button for 10 seconds.
Some have had success pulling the sim card, and then pressing the power button. Then when it turns on reinserting sim card.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Factory Reset option: would erase phone storage though.
If you can’t turn HTC One S on or access settings, you can still perform a factory reset by using the hardware buttons on HTC One S.
Press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button, and then press and hold the POWER button.
Wait for the screen with the three Android images to appear, and then release the POWER and VOLUME DOWN buttons.
Press VOLUME DOWN to select FACTORY RESET, and then press the POWER button.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Others have switched to trying to charge it connected to USB port and have it suddenly come back to life after a while.
Thanks for the answer

Hi all,
I forgot to charge the phone for one night and the battery went fully empty.
Next day, I put the phone on charge, it started charging (the orange light went on) and after two hours I tried to turn it on, but it doesn't turn on.
I tried several things, was charging it for two days, but still can't switch it on. When the power cable is plugged in, the orange light is turned on, but it never gets to green.
Also tried the recovery mode (Volume Down + Power for 10 seconds), but it also doesn't work.
Do you have any idea what could be the problem?
Thanks and regards!

You may want to try and take out the battery for a while and then try again. Another option is to get a new battery to try in the phone.

Plug Charger In Darkness And Check Your Phone Screen Turns On In Black Or Not, If Not Hold POWER Button And Check It Again, If Not You Probably Broke Your Battery.
Since i just had this problem i searched and ended in this post.
The solution which worked for me was when the touch navigation buttons blink for 16 times take out from wall charger and plug into PC usb and just press power twice.
It should trigger the phone to wake up from "DEEP SLEEP"
And to my surprise the battery had 57% charge.
I will be reporting this issue to Team Venom as i have Viper C2 5.2.1
Hello. I was flashing from recovery and when rebooted the phone, the screen went to black. I pushed the power button but no response. I pushed the yellow button behind sd card to reset and nothing. The only response from the phone is push the power and volume+, it vibrate 3 times. No sound if i connect to the computer and flashtool don't see the phone. No led on.
Please, help

So last night, i left my phone to charge after reaching 5%. When I woke up, my phone won't start and it won't charge either. The LED indicator was not lighting when it is plugged.
I tried every trick:
1. Pressed down the power button in different lengths.
2. No. 1 but with the volume down key
3. Pressed down the yellow button on the sim card tray
4. Tested 5 different charger heads and different wires
5. Tried connecting to 2 different laptops to see if my phone will be recognized
I work close by a Sony Center so I was planning on passing by after work. I was already having a really bad day and my phone is not under warranty. Throughout the morning, I'd randomly check the power button if it will finally work. FORTUNATELY, during lunch, the LED indicator finally lit up! The batt was drained so I had to charge it and wait a few minutes before turning it on. Finally it's on. I don't know what the eff happened or if it is really resolved.

Yeah try to install the proper drivers for your phone....or just install them all like i did....just search a little bit
So, I am on the Stock U11 ROM unrooted and on Android 7.1.1.
The phone was charging by my side, on my desk.
It reached 100%, but I did not unplug it.
I had the keep screen on while charging setting, turned on.
After about 30 minutes it turned off. I noticed the green notification light (fully charged indication) had turned off.
And when I checked, the phone had turned off. By itself.
Now I am trying to turn it on, nothing happens.
I try to hold the power button (for ~30 seconds) to force a reboot, nothing happens.
Can anyone help me. It is under warranty though. So, I will contact HTC about this. But I wanted to check if there are others that faced this same problem.
Thanks
Try power button and volume down
