Hey, Welcome to the thread which contains some apps rha have material design.
First i want say that this thread doesn't contain any Google Apps(Gapps).
So Lets go
1.Action Launcher 3 Here
Sure, there’s the Google Now Launcher if you want the Googliest home screen possible, but Action Launcher gives your phone or tablet a Nexus-style look with more customization. There are plenty of icon pack choices and the QuickPage, which is a custom home screen you can get by swiping in from the right edge.

}
2.Cabinet Beta Here
It’s had a long go in beta, but Cabinet is a pretty stable and desirable file manager with a slick, material design look. It uses the floating button well, letting you create a new remote connection, folder, or file.
3.Swift keyboard Here
SwiftKey has gone all-in on with themes, with choices ranging from the minimalist to the ridiculous (Frozen, anyone?). On the material design, front, however, there are two excellent keyboard choices that match the new design of Google’s keyboard but add in more functionality. They’re $0.99 each, but well worth it.
4.Field Trip Here
Field Trip is a clever app for when you’re traveling or just out and about and want to discover more about what’s around you. It will ping you with details about restaurants, sites of historical snippets, or other places that you wouldn’t normally pick up through just a Google search or perusal of Yelp.
5.WEATHER TIMELINE Here
It’s too rare to find a great “Android only” app that shows off the best of the platform. Weather Timeline has done this with its weather application. It also has excellent Android Wear implementation, pushing out weather alerts and putting the forecast on your watch. It’s only $0.99, so grab it and support great development efforts like this.
6.NUMIX CALCULATOR Here
The stock Android calculator does the job, and it too has a new material theme if you’re running Lollipop. But if you want something that looks great and has a few more features then go with Numix Calculator Pro. It saves your calculation’s history and swings in with additional capabilities when you swipe through the keyboard.

7.Source News Reader Here
Feedly is still undergoing a material redesign, so while you’re waiting, or if you just want to explore another alternative, check out Source News Reader.
8.LUMIFIC-Pic Gallery Here
Lumific is a beautiful photo gallery application for anyone that isn’t happy with the stock photo gallery app that comes preinstalled on their device. While there are many great features within Lumific, one notable feature is the ability to order photo prints from Lumific through Snapfish by HP. Now you can have any photo taken with your camera printed out to keep and to share. Lumific also takes similar photos and recreates them into GIF images automatically, and it now integrates with Dropbox to sync photos for backup.
9.PLAYER FM PODCAST Here
Podcasts are a great way to consume the content you love if you don’t have the ability to read it, and Player FM Podcast adds in loads of useful features for anyone looking to start listening to podcasts. To start, it’s cloud-based, which means you can listen to it across devices. It’s also equipped for offline playback so you can still listen to stuff even without a data connection. You’ll also never have to worry about not being able to listen to an entire podcast all the way through, since play history will let you resume from where you left off.
10.NOVA LAUNCGER BETA Here
Nova Launcher Betas include new features and fixes before they are released to all users. However they also are not as well tested and may not be as reliable. Betas are best for people who don't mind when things temporarily break a little bit.
11.WHATSAPP (MD)(OFFICIAL)(BETA) Here
If you've been waiting for that special day when messaging app WhatsApp could be updated with the Material Design of Android 5.0, the good news is that day is here. You won't find this update in the Google Play Store yet, no matter how hard you try.
great! thanks

I have decided to do a few reviews to fill the void in my day, these reviews will be exclusive to the sensation XDA forum, but feel free to repost wherever, though credit where credit is due
Todays review is for Minimal reader pro, I simple but beautiful looking rss reader for your android home screen.
I have personally tried a lot of the rss readers on the market in order to find something that suited my simplistic taste. Minimal Reader is a home screen widget that is just that, minimalistic and simple.

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
SetupThis widget took literally seconds to set up, this is mainly due to its link to Google Reader which allows the importation of RSS feeds saved to the google service, selecting a feed is as simple as checking a tick box and selecting done, with that you are good to go. Minimal Reader also has the ability to add RSS links to the home screen on the fly yet these ‘New’ links are not saved to Google Reader which is a bit of a bummer if for some reason you remove the widget containing a new ‘unsaved’ feed, expect a visit back to the site to reclaim your RSS link. This is an area that I personally think could be improved by allowing the user to add links to Google reader for future use.
Visuals and Interface
Visually the widget is pleasing, with two built in styles Dark Glass and Light Glass, both looking good on the default sense launcher. There are several options that edit the look and feel of the widget which can be done on the fly. ‘Text with buttons and arrows, text with arrows and text only’
Text with buttons and arrows gives you a visual indication on where to press (obviously) for settings and refresh and also displays the arrows to flip between pages. Text and arrows displays the feed and the page arrows, and text only…. Well you get the idea.
Using text only, for the first time I though, Woah! I cant refresh move pages ect, but, these options are still available. Using ‘text only’ clicking where the icons are, have the desired effect. Tops left refresh feed, bottom left Settings top right page up, bottom right page down…… and for those pesky lefties… these buttons can be flipped…. NICE
The Popup feature of this app (which is just as customizable as the main app) is one of the features I like most. Unlike most of the apps where the clicked link will open in the phones web browser, Minimal readers opens the link in a convenient pop up box, allowing you to read the whole article (feed permitting of course) from the home screen. From this pop up you can open in a web browser, share to social networks and add to favourites.
Foot Print
I have 2, 2x2 widgets running on my home screen using a manual refresh,. At current they leaving a 0.99mb footprint, not bad yet being a total noob in the area of Memory management I am happy to be corrected.
Verdict
I feel there are things in this widget that could be work on, the main aspect of that is adding links into Google Reader, in future versions the developer will be adding a ’Scrolling’ feature which would make the widget much more like a news ticker. I personally feel this would be a welcome addition giving the phones home screen some life.
I would defiantly give the free version a try, and see how things look for your phone it’s a very nice looking easy to use RSS ready with plenty of features!
That concludes my first review for you guys, constructive criticism is welcomed, don’t forget to say thanks is you found this review useful

Task'd is the premiere task manager and to-do list app for Android™ devices. It was designed with the user in mind to be beautiful, functional, and simple. The goal is to help you, the user, better manage your priorities and schedule.
The user interface is intuitive, with clearly marked and recognizable icons. Everything is right at your fingers, not hidden inside some obscure menu or tab. Editing a task is as simple as clicking it in the main list. Want to delete a task? Just long-press it and click delete.
Each task you create must have a name and a priority. Optionally, it can also have a due date and a description containing more details.
You can sort your tasks by priority (default), due date, order added, and alphabetically. You can also change the date format if you use a different standard than the default MM-DD-YYYY.
The full version of Task'd also includes a 4x1 homescreen widget that allows you to see all your tasks, or create a new one.
The free version will always remain one update behind the full version. Currently, it is only lacking the widget. Once the full version receives an update, the free version will get the widget, but not the new features. Bug fixes will still be rolled out as necessary.
Of course, the obligatory screenshots are attached at the end of the post. As for the QR codes with Market links:

Android is a trademark of Google Inc.
Does it sync with google tasks?
Currently no, however sync with Google Tasks and proper Honeycomb support are the next two things on my list.
Really liking the look of this, am constantly on the lookout for a nicer task manager.
I love the simplistic approach and UI. One suggestion might be an option to turn off the custom font? It is pretty funky but a little overwhelming on the eyes when used everywhere..
Also like your idea of keeping the free version one behind the paid, an approach I haven't seen before Looking forward to see what the widget it like, if Im still using this in a couple of days will definitely get the pro version. Cheers!

Thanks for the feedback! I'll definitely add in an option for the custom font. I can't get rid of it everywhere (specifically the buttons) but the option will let you ditch it in the task list and the edit/create screen.
I believe I've only seen the free behind paid model one or two other times, and I really liked it. It lets users see what they're getting in its entirety, yet still give them an incentive to upgrade.
Is there a way to sync between two users? Like myself and my girlfriend are looking for a syncing task list so we can put to-dos for each other without any manual effort.

If you set up Google Tasks sync with the same email account in the app, then they'll sync between devices. You don't need to use the same Google account on the phone itself, or on other devices, only when you set up sync in Task'd. I'll be sure to update this post once I get it updated.

Thanks baks for the feedback.
I have just pushed an update to the store which allows DealPad to run on Android 2.2+. This now allows approximately 95% of active Android devices to access the application.
To celebrate this release the Ad-Free version has been reduced to just 50pence.
As always I look forward to hearing feedback from you guys.
Amazing app, definitely the best “HotUkDeals” app on the market. However, I have a suggestion, would it be possible to add a slide function to move between panels?
Sorry just noticed your comment now. I have considered the slide between tabs. The reason it is not implemented currently is that when a tab is switched the deals are downloaded. So adding the slide to switch tabs doesn't feel right.
I will keep it on the to do list and see if I can cache some deals to make it feel more natural and fluid.
Let me know if you have any more requests/comments.
Ahh its fine. Could you not make the slide feature like the YouTube app? The page itself doesn’t actually freeze, so you still have the ability to slide/press a tab even though it’s loading. Caching the deals would be a good idea though, definitely more efficient.
By the way, I have also noticed the settings page doesn’t actually have a header?
By the way, have you thought about adding the ability to switch between holo light and holo dark themes. Just a thought

Yeah the way youtube implement it is nice. Sadly the way the deals are stored at the moment means I can't do that without changing the data structure which will be a bit of work.
Regarding themes, I am personally not a fan of holo dark but I have had a few requests so I can look into it. Unsure about black and orange though

Yeah I understand what you mean, hopefully it wouldn't be too hard to implement though as a slide function would be great. It would definitely make it easier to switch tabs on tablets.
The black and orange theme wouldn't be too bad in my opinion, not greatly important, but nice as an option.

Just pushed a small updated which allows tablet users to open deals in their main browser by default.
Let me know if you have any additional feature requests as I have a fair amount of time available to work on it these next few weeks
Just created a Google+ Community to give users access to beta versions of the application https://plus.google.com/communities/106913653955175355079.
The current beta includes todays top deals
Important: the application can work without Internet connection!
LocationDetector is full suite for travelers, fishermen and mushroom pickers! It is direct GPS Navigator to saved places.
Use navigation arrow to find the saved location you have forgot.
Use compass to get directions of North, West etc.
Send locations via sms, see all locations on map etc....
Now you can do all of these things with the only one application - LocationDetector !!!
In advanced version you have additional features like adding locations from google map or enter it numeric values, weather conditions etc.!
Also there is no advertisement in Advanced Location Detector!
Thanks for using it!

It is not a nice, enjoyable experience. The design is just outdated. Making a good app is not all. The second part is a good UI, pay attention to details, then the users will be more into using it. Take a look at HRS Hotel Search app. Their app was so badly designed (Gingerbread UI elements, wrong spacing, etc.) that they had to redesign it and after they have done that, they had to start over, with new app package name, new design (finally Holo, looks gorgeous) because of the bad ratings at Play Store. There is an official Android App Design community at Google+ that you may want to check out, with Roman Nurik (Muzei, DashClock) being the one of the moderators
If other developers would make app designs still based on Gingerbread, completely ignoring design guidelines, there would in the future be no material design, uncomplete Android L (because of those outdated apps) and Android platform would loose on popularity (no high-end games, cool apps, etc., you get the idea...).
However, from the screenshots it looks like if you just swap Theme.Light for Theme.Holo.Light.DarkActionBar, for example, and then spent just a few hours making your app look against the design guidelines, trust me, it would be at a totally different level. Good luck

Thanks a lot for your advices! Actually I'm going to redesign the app in the future, and now I think that I have to do it ASAP
Anyway, application is very helpful if you like to travel, and emphasis was made for functionality. I hope you will enjoy it anyway even with current design.
May be someone has idea about functionality of this app? Is everything suitable for you?
