Did you try and install SuperSU through TWRP? Need to download the zip file from that forum. Not by downloading from play store. Uninstall SuperSU before flashing.

You can try:

You go to the path /data/data/com.koushikdutta.superuser/files
There is a supersuer.zip, you flash these file and you have the su updated"
**Though i cant find that file in my storage
Charge your phone to a charger, open supersu and install by "normal"
Do you have any backup before you install supersu?

Unfortunately i don't have that folder or files in the location either

[ROM] [4.2.1] Stock rooted - Deodexed/Zipaligned + More

EDIT: Sorry guys, i won't be updating this with the new versions of android as my n7 broke. Sorry!
Hello people,
I made a zip file you can use to install stock android 4.2.1 on your nexus 7 using CWM
All downloads: HERE (Thanks to goo.im)
How to install:
Wipe data (may not be needed if you upgrade from stock)
Format /system
Install Zip
Reboot
Those zips contain the /system directory from a fresh 4.2.1 installation and the boot.img from the 4.2 factory image.
I removed recovery-from-boot.p
The rooted zip also includes SuperSU.
I will not include busybox, because scrosler already made it. Scrosler's thread
If you prefer Superuser instead of SuperSU, you can just install the official zip which you can find here. It will override SuperSU.
Addons/Extras/I don't care what it is called (can be installed in any ROM):
All extras are now hosted HERE (Thanks to goo.im for awesome hosting)
Extras info:
install_AOSP_browser_4_2_1-grouper.zip: This installs the AOSP browser in any ROM
deodex_zipalign_4_2_1-grouper.zip: This deodexes/zipaligns your ROM
odex_unzipalign_4_2_1-grouper.zip: This odexes/unzipaligns your ROM
clicking thanks would be nice... if you want...
Thanks to all that did!

Update: apparently if your rooted and have twrp installed it pick's it up and installs it no wipe/data needed also keeps root access

Seems fine to me. People just need to make sure to uncheck the "use accelerator" option and download it directly. It should be a .zip not an .exe. If you see that you've downloaded an .exe, you did it wrong.
On a side note... this download is wicked slow.

I used it for my Motorola RaZr. Worked fine. If you feel bad about your AV scanner you can use virtual box or a virtual desktop.
The "virus" are the root exploits.
Check this --> http://onlinelinkscan.com/?p=271456
VRoot is also suggested here on XDA.
Just keep in mind to replace the chinese super user by "SuperSU" to have it in your language
I suppose there is no other root available atm
i am still waiting for a root

Alright, its your phone. I use licensed Avast internet security (VROOT file is actually stored on my PC) and I also posted a link to "online check" of the developers page. I used it before for motorola phones and "who wonders" nothing bad happened to the phone, my laptop or me As you got a really non common phone model, its the only root method I found so far confirmed as working.
May I ask which Antivirus Solution you're using?

Probably not, as long as you're rooted and deleted preinstalled apps. When a new firmware is released you can flash it, but OTA updates don't work i suppose.

[MOD] Move SuperSU app to Settings menu - OxygenOS v3 NEW

This mod will let you move the SuperSU app from the app drawer to the Settings menu.
I have based this mod on OxygenOS 2.1, but should work on all versions of OxygenOS
Disclaimer
Note, this will only work on OxygenOS factory roms. It wont work on AOSP or CM based roms etc. Remember to back up your rom before flashing. I am not responsible if you have issues with your device.

Hmm just to clarify, your on the OnePlus 2 running OxygenOS 2.0.2? it should be just as showing in the screen shot. Just under gestures in device section.
Also could you do me a favour? could you extract the settings.apk from the zip and push it manually to prv-app/settings/settings.apk? Change permissions and test.
OK just ran a test. Looks like the mount path I am using to mount system is not working correctly. Just extract the apk manually and push it to the folder it will work.
I will make a new update later this evening.

Xposed framework

Hello to all you can create a way to install Xposed on mi4c?
Hello everyone,
i've tried to flash the usual framework but didn't work. The xposed installer always says the framework is not detected...
If someone successfully found a way, it would be great !
I've always read that WSM tools were not recommended for MIUI 7, so didn't try.
Cheers.
is it easy to root the phone? is there already twrp for it?
Pretty easy yes
1) download the dev rom from here : http://en.miui.com/download-293.html
it is already rooted, you just have to install it through the update app on your phone (in the app, select the three little dots at the top corner and select "select a zip file" and choose the downloaded rom)
Wait 5 minutes that it installs
2) flash TWRP through the flashify app
that's it
flash latest CM12.1 and the flash xposed, it works like a charm
you can flash xposed-v75-sdk22-arm64.zip
and install xposed 3.0 Alpha4

just cry, xposed don't work on MIUI for now.
or install the unofficial CM12.1 port, works great

My xposed is working fine without any boot loop.
What I did was flashed the CM12.1 ROM, Gapps, SuperSU and xposed ARM64 sdk22 v75.
After reboot to system, I only installed the xposed installer 3.0 (alpha 4).

Phone won't OTA after flashing EU Rom

Hey all, I flashed the EU Rom last Friday after waiting a week to unlock the bootloader.
The flashing was problamitiac after something to do with a file included being an issue.
Anyway I replaced that and flashed and followed the rest of the steps
But when I get to the OTA update part, ibt fails
It'll tell me there's a update ready, download it and then it reboots to update but it doesn't update, it just reboots back into the current Rom.
Currently on miui 20.9.3.eu. Beta.
Please help

Yes and make sure you do a backup before running the update. I have updated three times let it finish.

And that updates via OTA not manually?

Yes, it updates to the latest branch, stable or weekly version.. when you press the miui12 icon or use the updater app, it will check and then download the update to your root storage as a .zip file. When done it will update automatically when prompted. Reboot to recovery, update, reboot system. If you have encrypted file system, it may ask you for your phones unlock pin/ password when in recovery and then install and reboot.
It uses twrp to do the update in the same way the stock recovery would with official Xiaomi stock updates would, so you need to flash the twrp from fastboot as described in the ROM update post in the Xiaomi.EU forum or in my guide attached.

You won't get official OTA updates any more.

But What about eu updates, i should download it Everytime and flash it through twrp ? Or i will get it directly from settings ?
You will get unofficial updates and they will work through the app. It has been working for me...

The update will show in settings or a notification, and download when selected. When you press install, it reboots into TWRP and installs the update.

I completed the latest weekly update using TWRP in my Mi 10 Ultra but lots of apps automatically closed by it self and my phone stop responding some times, I cannot even run backup and for those apps that automatically close by it self the temp solution is to use dual apps function and run the apps on the clone apps then it will run properly...
Question if I downgrade can I do the same procedure same as when I do the upgrade on firmware without doing factory reset?
I would first go and wipe cache and dalvik from twrp. Make sure you don't format, easy to do when there but it should stop the non dual apps from crashing. I had the same but since a cache and dalvik wipe, so problems at all on A11
