I used it for my Motorola RaZr. Worked fine. If you feel bad about your AV scanner you can use virtual box or a virtual desktop.
The "virus" are the root exploits.
Check this --> http://onlinelinkscan.com/?p=271456
VRoot is also suggested here on XDA.
Just keep in mind to replace the chinese super user by "SuperSU" to have it in your language
I suppose there is no other root available atm

i am still waiting for a root
any one help ??

Have you tried latest VRoot? Or do you still think its a virus?!

Alright, its your phone. I use licensed Avast internet security (VROOT file is actually stored on my PC) and I also posted a link to "online check" of the developers page. I used it before for motorola phones and "who wonders" nothing bad happened to the phone, my laptop or me As you got a really non common phone model, its the only root method I found so far confirmed as working.
May I ask which Antivirus Solution you're using?

Probably not, as long as you're rooted and deleted preinstalled apps. When a new firmware is released you can flash it, but OTA updates don't work i suppose.
Installed SuperSU?

Kingo Android Root is a well-designed, aesthetically pleasing application for Windows based computers that forgoes the device specific route, and offers rooting for a lot of Android devices from a variety of manufacturers. Supported phones include the likes of Google Nexus lineup, several HTC devices including HTC One, One X, One V, Droid Eris, Motorola Defy, a number of Samsung phones, popular LG devices and some smartphones from Sony. It offers a true one-click root experience, where you have to just download the application, install it, connect your device and click Root.
There are a few things that you need to be mindful of. When connecting your device, you need to have USB Debugging enabled in Android settings. There’s no requirement for pre-installed device drivers, as the software will take care of that for you. In fact, it will give you the Root option only after the drivers have been properly configured. Past that, all you have to do is hit the Root button, and let the application work its magic.
The app pushes SuperSU binaries which are slightly outdated, but get instantly updated to the new version thanks to Google Play. However, it won’t install a custom recovery, so that part you’ll have to take care of manually. Kingo Android Root supports Android versions up to 4.3.
Homepage: http://www.kingoapp.com/index.htm http://www.kingoapp.com/android-root.htm
How to Use the Kingo Android Root One-Click Tool
Step 1. Download the Kingo Android Root windows application and install it on your Windows desktop.
Step 2. Once the installation is finished, run the application and connect the device to the computer with USB cable to start the process. Now the application will install the latest drivers on your PC.
Step 3. This will take some time to install the drivers. Once the drivers are installed on your PC, you will see a new screen on your desktop with your device name and "ROOT" button. See the screenshot below:
Step 4. Hit the ROOT Button from the app screen to begin the root process on your device.
Step 5. Be patient. It will take some time to finish the process. Once the operation is completed, you will see the “Root Succeeded” message on your screen.
Your device should now be rooted. With the help of this application you can unroot your device as well. All you have to do is select the Unroot button and follow the onscreen instructions. For more help, check the application FAQ section Mod Edit here too..
**None of this is my material. This is the work of the Kingo team.**

It's unclear what was causing the slowness, but after a while it finally all went through and my phone is now rooted. Thanks!
I did have to restart the App several times while it was downloading the update. That also seemed to be going very slowly. My download speeds wouldn't go above 100kb/s (consistently) and after a while the download will stop at a certain percentage. I would then have to restart the app, and then it would continue from the percentage but then stop at another percentage.
I have 25+ MBps connection, so I don't think it was my internet. It could have been the laptop though for slowness on both ends, downloading and communicating with the phone. I would have to look into it further though.
Anyways, thanks for responding to me!
Did you use any other devices via USB port? I know when I did mine I had to delete my USB drivers that way it would go faster and not unmount my gs4 all the time.

[Q] Asus Zenfone 6 T00G JB 4.3

Hi Guys and Gals,
Well I have spent the past 5 hours searching the site for a root that would work on this new device, with no avail. I have tried a few of the one click type root software available, but no luck. I have searched google and youtube and there is absolutely nothing out there on how to root this device.
I would appreciate any help that you might be able to offer me.
Sincerely,
Bill

Hey, I'm in the same boat. I found a blog that seems to imply that you can use cydia impactor but I was not able to get it to work. I can't post the link but its on asus-zenfonedotblogspotdotjp. The reason I'm trying to root is that my phone came with the chinese firmware preinstalled, meaning that I cannot use google sync or google play store. I want to root to flash the rom or to simply be able to install google services. Please let me know if you make any progress. good luck.

Rooting Huawei Y5-II CUN-U29(and all versions) easily

This is a guide on rooting Huawei Y5-II(the version i have is CUN-U29)but it works for all versions
For this you need kingroot apk version 4.9.6(latest) you can get that from apk mirror or googling it
To start this of i don't have my phone right now it is being fixed so i can't send screenshots and stuff
Ok,now for the rooting part you just install kingroot apk(if it didnt work for you before install it again and if you get something saying it denied installation of kingroot just tap the arrow and tap install anyway)open kingroot app then tap on try to root and it should work:fingers-crossed: if it doesnt though there is a solution,go to settings>apps>kingroot>clear data then try again and it should work
I made this thread because no one else on the internet wasn't caring about this phone's development and i hope someone uploads it's dload file(CUN-U29) Good Luck all!!:fingers-crossed:
Thanks man

I got a warning message also when i installed the APK file. Not exactly the same. Have you tried checking updates? It will prevent you from dowloading OTA updates. I got rid of it completely by resetting to factory.
Same problem - Official nougat rom flagged as 'Unauthorised'

I installed the offical nougat rom (UK BTU) on my unlocked, never rooted Galaxy S7 SM-930F using Odin as per instructions on Sammobile site. Generally the firmware works fine and I was very pleased to have it before the OTA roll out in the UK.
UNFORTUNATELY I have been unable to set up either the 'My Knox' app (Play store) or the APK of the 'Secure Folder' app (Sammobile site). In both cases I get a pop up stating "......cannot be set up because unauthorised software was installed on the device".
I used the "Knox Status" app (Play store) to see if the Knox Counter had been triggered. No problem there (Status 0x0, "warranty is valid"). Also note that I still get OTA security updates on schedule so no problems with the firmware being rejected there either. Can anyone help or advise me? The only thing I can think to do is to use Sammobile to downgrade to Marshmallow and wait for the Nougat OTA update?
See this thread on Sammobile.com website in their Galaxy S7 forum: "Galaxy S7 SM-930F - Official nougat rom(UK BTU) Can't install Secure Folder app" - possible explanation and solution given in replies.

Secure folder is one of the most important feature in note 7. I really liked in my old note 7. is there any way to get it to work on rooted device, Like if I kept knox or something.
If not, will it work if I returned to the official Rom ?

I wonder whether Secure Folder root - protection can be bypassed by "hiding root" Xposed plugin. Tell me when you will test it

Download the OTA Package above.
Then check for updates in the updater app.
If the updater app finds an update download it but don't install it.
Go to files and find the downloaded OTA package.
Replace the OTA package in the ota_package folder with the new one ive linked above (CHANGE THE NAME OF THE OTA PACKAGE IVE SENT YOU EXACTKY TO THE ONE THAT IS LOCATED IN OTA_PACKAGE FOLDER)
After replacing the file, then go to the updater app again and install it.
This is a theorized method, I am not responsible for any errors that occur and this method is made from other similar XDA posts.

It's sad NEWS, but no one has been able to do it for 4-5 months since the release of the Chinese version in March and the release of the global version in April.
HOW TO is from blackshark3.
