Is it different than the Knox folder that you can download from Play Store??
Big thanks.
It works on s7e latest nougat but it feels a bit laggy.

I got a warning message also when i installed the APK file. Not exactly the same. Have you tried checking updates? It will prevent you from dowloading OTA updates. I got rid of it completely by resetting to factory.

I installed the offical nougat rom (UK BTU) on my unlocked, never rooted Galaxy S7 SM-930F using Odin as per instructions on Sammobile site. Generally the firmware works fine and I was very pleased to have it before the OTA roll out in the UK.
UNFORTUNATELY I have been unable to set up either the 'My Knox' app (Play store) or the APK of the 'Secure Folder' app (Sammobile site). In both cases I get a pop up stating "......cannot be set up because unauthorised software was installed on the device".
I used the "Knox Status" app (Play store) to see if the Knox Counter had been triggered. No problem there (Status 0x0, "warranty is valid"). Also note that I still get OTA security updates on schedule so no problems with the firmware being rejected there either. Can anyone help or advise me? The only thing I can think to do is to use Sammobile to downgrade to Marshmallow and wait for the Nougat OTA update?
See this thread on Sammobile.com website in their Galaxy S7 forum: "Galaxy S7 SM-930F - Official nougat rom(UK BTU) Can't install Secure Folder app" - possible explanation and solution given in replies.

Secure folder is one of the most important feature in note 7. I really liked in my old note 7. is there any way to get it to work on rooted device, Like if I kept knox or something.
If not, will it work if I returned to the official Rom ?

I wonder whether Secure Folder root - protection can be bypassed by "hiding root" Xposed plugin. Tell me when you will test it

I used it for my Motorola RaZr. Worked fine. If you feel bad about your AV scanner you can use virtual box or a virtual desktop.
The "virus" are the root exploits.
Check this --> http://onlinelinkscan.com/?p=271456
VRoot is also suggested here on XDA.
Just keep in mind to replace the chinese super user by "SuperSU" to have it in your language
I suppose there is no other root available atm
i am still waiting for a root

Alright, its your phone. I use licensed Avast internet security (VROOT file is actually stored on my PC) and I also posted a link to "online check" of the developers page. I used it before for motorola phones and "who wonders" nothing bad happened to the phone, my laptop or me As you got a really non common phone model, its the only root method I found so far confirmed as working.
May I ask which Antivirus Solution you're using?

Probably not, as long as you're rooted and deleted preinstalled apps. When a new firmware is released you can flash it, but OTA updates don't work i suppose.

Through some flashing process, I noticed that the SM-N900W8, despite multiple flashing, remains under 0x0 status in KNOX
So it is confirmed that the said model is both mod-friendly and knox-friendly.
There are some limitations though which CAN BE FLASHED.
Refer to post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2627996 [SM-N900W8 List of KNOX friendly flashing]
THIS IS ONLY FOR SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 3 SM-N900W8 MODEL. TRY THIS ON OTHER VARIANTS? DON'T BLAME ME FOR UNDESIRED KNOX COUNTERS!
Note: In rooting your Samsung GALAXY Note 3, make sure that REACTIVATION LOCK is UNCHECKED under the security options or else the flashing will interrupt. I also recommend having the original fimware as a backup if anything goes wrong. If you did not follow this direction, it will not be my fault if you run into a bootloop or malfunction.
Confirmed: NO NEED FOR THE TELCEL FIRMWARE TO BE FLASHED. Go with the firmware in your device.
I am using my RWC firmware and KNOX wasn't tripped during the process.
What to do?
Get the following files from the links provided below.
FLASH FIRST the ChainFire Auto-Root I have provided. The SM-N900W8's root file will not work in Kitkat, so use the one I provided. After flashing, check your DOWNLOAD MODE and confirm if it is still 0x0 or 0x1. If all is still in success, flash now the TWRP.
Device will be considered FULLY ROOTED but limited by some functions due to the KNOX Secure Kernel.

Well, it looks like Samsung Russia is planning to update all the older flagships from the company to Lollipop ahead of newer devices. After the Galaxy Note 3, the Galaxy S4 has started receiving the Android 5.0.1 update in the country. The update is rolling out to the Exynos variant of the device (GT-I9500), and is rather huge at 1049MB. It looks like the update is so big that Samsung will be removing some pre-loaded apps like Google Play Books, Movies and others to make space. It’s likely only those apps that can be downloaded from the Play Store (and Galaxy Apps) will be removed, though this should not be taken as a sign of the bloatware trimming that Samsung is pursuing (as that will only take effect with the Galaxy S6.)
The update should bring all the features of Lollipop, like enhanced performance, lockscreen and heads-up notifications, and a redesigned interface, features that we exclusively previewed a couple of weeks ago. You should be seeing a notification for the OTA on your Galaxy S4 over the course of the next few days; the update doesn’t seem to be showing up on Kies just yet, but it hopefully will as a computer would certainly come in handy for downloading all that data.

Of course it wouldn't be Marshmallow, the international version hasn't gotten it yet. They got this version about a week and a half ago, so good on TMo for being so quick. The international version mentioned better memory optimization, so I hope that made it in.

What's new?
Whole SystemUI is new, camera app is new, apps are new, keyboard is new, browser looks different too, InCallUI is different, AOD is interactive finally, 3rd party notifications work too, notification design is also new, there is performance mode like in MIUI that gives Your device extra boost, fingerprint scanner works a lot faster and finally it's crazily accurate with only one fingerprint scan. Any questions? Just ask me!

Attention! To get normal non laggy performance change Your resolution to 2k and then enable performance mode!!
Where did you get it? Is this the one from SamFirmware?
I still haven't figured out where that site got the beta if they haven't released it yet in Europe...
This is BTU, screenshot coming. And I can't tell yet where I got it. Sorry.
Does root work?
Sent from my SM-G935F using XDA-Developers mobile app

Oh speedy.. Nice to see You in my thread. And so far no. My friend tried to flash TWRP and somehow he fell into a bootloop. I will try to root it too and then tell You if it works! But probably it won't. We need someone like geiti94 or chainfire to get root to work.
Any screenshots of nougat?
Why would it wipe data if you flash through Odin?

CSC files wipe data starting from S7 I think.
U should be able to use HOME_CSC which will not wipe date from your previous rom. But not sure if it will work for nougat too. It should

New android and CSC change, and when changing between android versions you should always clean install, specially in a beta
Yeah, clean flash between Android versions is recommended. To avoid force closes and bugs. Did anyone download it yet? I wanna hear reviews! Posting more screenshots in the meantime
Has anyone installed this? Knox not triggered?
I want to install but I have doubts... I think I'll wait for the official OTA via the Beta Program.

It shouldn't change knox to 0x1. It's a official image from Samsung, untouched, fully working

What about KNOX when using S Health? Mine went to "device is comprimised" or whatever the translation is from spanish to english. What does it mean?

I did a dirty flash, first PHN (Netherlands CSC) and flashed BTU (UK CSC) and it went fine without wiping the phone.

Guess he means if it's triggered like I said when using S Health for example.
