Hello XDA guy's !
I have a problem with my nexus 5 from few weeks that's when I charge it from 1% - 100% , it takes ( 2:40 - 3:30 ) hours
I charge it by the original charger
I think there are many people have the same problem !!
I think new update 4.4.4 is the problem !

solution? get a new charger or usb chord, as one of them is defective. and there are many with the same problem, until they replace their chargers/chords. no, its not 444.
When you are charging the phone does it show Charging (AC) or Charging (USB) in the power menu (tap on the battery in the quick settings pulldown)?

If you're looking for a cheap charger, check http://forum.xda-developers.com/goo.../hands-best-fastest-cheapest-nexus-5-t2729066

3 hours is not a problem.
If you don't have a nexus 5, you're in the wrong forum.

I bought it 3days ago. Before Nexus5 I had iPhone5 and it needed 2hours to 100%. That is strange to me.

Well, you may be able to get a faster charger but the key difference is the batteries. The iPhone 5 has a 1440mAh battery while the Nexus 5 has a 2300mAh battery. The Nexus 5 battery has more than 50% more capacity than the iPhone 5. So if the Nexus 5 is taking 50% longer to charge then it's charging at the same rate as your iPhone.
Check out some fast chargers. Some of them I can recommend.
Sony CP-AD2 USB 2.1 amp
ERD Mobile charger USB LP-27TC
Sony EP881 Quick Charger
Thread which shows nexus 5 fast charging works perfectly.

I been looking on amazon trying to figure out which one to get, and I also was going to try get this https://play.google.com/store/devices/details/Nexus_Charging_Accessory?id=nexus_charging_accessory&hl=en.. it is not available in the US for some reason. There are so many of them I don't know what to pick. What do you guys suggest?
Suggest to stay with the stock charger if you want to enjoy your n9 for the longest.

i've used the anker 40watt charger (only goes up to ~1400 max for me so far with my shortest cable), asus t100 charger, and a samsung 2A charger (this one went up to 1800). so far the samsung has been the best. the asus is a 2.1A charger but doesn't go any higher than the samsung, even with the modded kernel.
Nexus 6 turbo charger works the best for me on my 9
The best charger I know is the one for the HP Touchpad. But it's very hard to get today. Possible source via ebay: http://www.ebay.de/itm/270940010930
It's not only powerful and usable worldwide, but also quite good from an engeneering side. See: http://www.righto.com/2012/10/a-dozen-usb-chargers-in-lab-apple-is.html

The tablet will only pull the amount of current that kernel allows it to.

I haven't seen my go above 1.6A even with a forced fast charge kernel. I've tried my moto quick charger, a power partners certified quick charger, my Aukey QC 2.0 battery pa k, a Samsung 2A charger, Moto 2A charger etc... Still only 1.6 A art most but usually its sitting at 1.2A which is extremely slow.
Have you verified the actual current going into the Nexus via a battery or charging monitoring app?

I wonder if anyone is actually getting 2A. Does anyone know why it won't charge at 2A with the kernel mod since the tablet charger slower than my old S3.
I use a Samsung charger from a Galaxy tab pro 2. Works great and probably can be found for cheap. My wifes S4 charger seems to be the same other than its white instead of black.
This one has been a godsend for me: http://goo.gl/6Y1MW2
You guys should definitely try enabling Battery Saver, setting it to automatic, and closing out all your apps before plugging in your Nexus 9. I've noticed that it makes a big difference.
Also do make a note not to go over the voltage of the original Nexus 9 charger (which is 5 Volt), you can damage your battery that way.

Hello all,
Since yesterday I have this very strange slow charging problem.
Yesterday I charged for a little bit my Mate7 from a car charger. The charger works and the cable also, used it to change my note3, note4, oneplus one and never gave me any problems.
I charged it for 10-15 minutes from a car charger which for a fact I know that it's working properly. This morning the battery was 8%.....I'm changing it for 4 hours and the battery is only at 55%?
Anyone else had this problem? Any ideas on what's going on?
Please help
Root charge again
Why should I root it in order to charge it as before?

Are you able to solve the issue. I am also facing same issue. I have changed charger , factory reset the phone but still its charging at extremely slow rate.
Same problem here. Has anyone a solution for the slow charging? I just charged for over an hour and it went from 22% to 25%. Original charger and cable.
Exactly same problem .
I have changed the firmware to official lolipop 5.1.1 but there is no difference.
Start charging at midnight and at 7 h am, 40% battery!
The phone is charging but if I must charge for 24 hours , this is a big problem.
This problem is only on Lolipop or same on Kitket?

i think it is only Lolipop problem,i have the same broblem ,but not every time to slow charge.
Buy yourself USB power monitor on ebay or amazon (they arent expensive) to see how much Amps is getting through. I had three different cables and only one of them charged with 1.7A. The other .085A or 0.99A.

Please check if your data cable works when you connect your mate 7 to pc? By it I means if your device is deted as media device or it only charges ?
This problem used to happen with me .. look
the problem isn't actually the charger itself, it's the USB cable. It needs to be a genuine USB cable that came with some phone, I use a samsung one that came with a note 3. borrow one or get it, or get a full charger.
those USB types work
- HTC , Samsung , Huawei
But first, You need to get a samsung charger 5V >> 2A " you just say to the seller, Samsung fast charge capable charger"
my Huawei y6 is now slow charge from 50 to 100 it take around 3 hrs . i use the original charger.what could be the reason ? And how to solve this ?
Hi guys, Lollipop Stock rom seems to take longer to charge battery from 0-100 when compared to that of kitkat. (more than 3 hrs) . I dont know whether this is related to electric supply from boards in my home or not.
I am trying to buy Sony CP-AD2 USB AC Adaptor quick charger but need reviews before buying this. Is anyone using this ?? or used in the past ? Is this compaitable with Xperia Z3 and faster ??
Also suggest me if there are any quick chargers available in the market other than sony one (Z3 supports qualcomm quick charge 2.0) ???

Hello everyone just got my oneplus 8t t-mobile versions coming from the pixel 5. I hope somebody can answer this question for me . So I just got this phone 2 days ago and when I plugged it in to the chargers I been using around the house for my old pixel 4xl and my son's oneplus 7t it doesn't charge my phone normal . Last names that I left it plugged in my room and woke up at 36% still . I tried I'm the morning with another cheaper and same thing it wouldn't charge . The only charger that. It charged it was the original one it came with . IDK If anybody had that issue too or if it's the normal for this phone . Like I said my son's op7t doesn't do that and I have chargers on my car and around the house that Idk I can use anymore. I can still return it or exchange it for another but I just wanted to see what you guys experienced.

I've charged my 8T (global unlocked version) using at least three different chargers of varying speeds (stock 65w charger, Google charger that came with my 2xl, and an old random htc branded charger) without any issues.

Hmm not even warp 30? That's unexpected. I know the 65w brick works with other cables and will charge slower with those but not too slow. Seemed to be about 18w speeds when I tried

Yeah not really the best for situations where you forget to charge at all and need to leave the house then find out other chargers can't be borrowed from others for decent speeds

The pixel 5 wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be . The price for it is too much and the size is too little for me. I been disappointed with google for a while with their phones. I gave my pixel 4xl to my dad it was a good phone bit I feel with the pixel phones your always missing something. The 5 processor with the midrange snapdragon got hot and it did lag a bit playing cod . Had to return it I wasn't happy at all .
