Hi guys,i bought s6 yesterday, and i really like how amazing is the design.......one question.....are you using it with a case and with a protection for the front screen,or without nothing?I would like to know if it is to much dangerous use it naked....Tnx a lot
I have decided to use a slim case because of the glass back and the protruding camera housing, I do not want to worry what surface I place it on. My Z3 compact with a glass back cracked after placing it very gently on a rough cement surface. I am also using a glass screen protector just in case, although I think that it is less important.

Peel of backcover?
Hi everyone,
today some guy at the airport bumped into me while I was using my (copper) Z3. The backcover cracked and I was asking myself if I can peel off the glas because it seems like the copper part under the glas would be better looking on its own.
Thanks in advance
Its easy yet a bit difficult too. Watch this clip. You'll know what to do

But remember, installing a new panel would cause the waterproofing to end. To retain the waterproofing, when applying the new glass panel, use new adhesive for it under the glass.
Hi,
A Question for people who use bare z3 or just a back case without anything on the front, long term and as daily driver as the only smartphone:
How is your z3 glass holding in regard to scratches/shattering/dirt/oleophobic coating, etc? did you have some inevitable sand scratches or such?
I'm planing to buy z5 premium when it launches and i'm considering using it only with a back case and maybe bare for sometimes for a change because i usually use a leather folder case that protects both the front and back. I'm assuming sony uses the same glass of z3. If i will use a back cover i'm more worried of scratches then shattering because i take a good care of my smartphone. A small scratch hurts my heart especially when the phone is in its early years (i usually replace my phone every 4-5 years) so knowing what i'm facing will help me decide. As for glass protector i read that it degrades from the experience though i never tried one.
z3 screen has a tempered glass but its scratchable, talking from XP
Usually put it in my car cup holder, back scratches easily. Just bought back and front nilkin hard films. They are good
The front glass will be about as resistant to scratches as just about any other flagship, but remember sand can scratch it. It's the compressive stress layer at the surface that gives it strength so any scratches may significantly weaken it, obviously depending on the depth and extent.
The back glass on the other hand as others have said, at least on the Z3 seems to be pretty soft and extremely easy to scratch, so you may want to make sure the back is properly protected.
I use the Nilkin H+, it's pretty great and cheap at the same time. Unless you abuse it or buy an extremely bad quality glass protector that's very "soft" I doubt you will see tempered glass protectors degrade any time soon.
Using Z3 since January this year. Before it, i had Xperia Z2. I always use back cover but never used anything on front glass.. Don't have any scratches on front glass. I had Xperia Z2 since launch til January 2015, used it with back cover & when i sold it, it had not even a single scratch on front or back. It was as good as a brand new phone. My Xperia Z3 lokk like a brand new phone, no scratches what so ever & i have used them as daily drivers & i am a heavy user as i use my mobiles as GPS, for music listening, for youtube etc etc.
Thanks for the replies,
For people who use high quality front glass tempered protector like nillkin, do you notice any degradation in the display legibility, colors, viewing angles, touch responsiveness, swipe feel, etc. compared to bare?
i am currently using orzly tempered glass on the front and it doesn't affect the display quality, so no degradation at all. especially the orzly protector even has a better swipe feel than the original screen.
I'm tempted to try front tempered glass and back tg or back skin like dbrand.
1. Which are considered the highest quality tempered glasses on the market for xperia z devices? i read recommendations here and there for nillkin, orzly and mocolo, like mentioned above, maybe there is a thread which settles that? what is important for me the most is one with the highest transparency, i see nillkin claim 99.99% with one of their tg.
2. Is trying back tg a good idea? is it not too slippery?
i had problem with my glass screen protector for sony z5, after a week the glass has moved a little bit and now it doesn't sit well, anyone had this problem?
any recommenced screen protector
Some people... It is not a problem with your Phone if your screen protector moved itself or because you didn't put it on properly. I am using a Mumbi 9H Real Glass Screen protector, I can only recommend it.
The proximity sensor still works ?
That's the only thing to take into consideration,
if all else still works - no problemo

I am using a generic Z5 front glass protector , from the looks of it , it has 2.5d curves, 9H hardness and proximity , front camera holes are there. The shop guy installed it kinda tilted so when i came home , i removed it with bare hands, wipe the screen with wipes several times to my liking and then remove 2 small fibers from the adhesive side of the glass protector with a hard piece of polymer very carefully and then re installed it correctly. Now its perfect.
Some days later I bought another glass protector (generic) of Xperia Z4 front and installed it at the back side of the Z5 completely covering the camera lens cover (which is made of plastic and prone to scratches ). As the front glass protector of the Z4/Z3+ has only the proximity hole cut out at the right of the glass protector , it almost covers the whole back side of my Xperia Z5. The only problem is that the area of the camera and flash are in kind of a low plane than that of the rest of the back glass. So there is always a gap of air bubble in the camera lens area. It doesnt cause any distortion or problem with taking pictures so far. As long as the sides are closed tightly i think the camera lens is safe. but if they fall loose and dusts get inside then i am screwed.
So far this is my story with my Xperia Z5 Dual E6683.
i use the glass protector from Premyo, the fitting is really good and nothing moved so far.
Hello Everyone! I have recently purchased a galaxy note 10 lite.. apart than the selfie camera I am liking it very much. But recently I found some micro scratch on my screen .. as in I am not using any protector but do use very carefully. Should I get a screen protector or flip case will be fine? And does flip cover gives scratches? Thanks
Hi, as a late reply: My personal view on these screen protectors: What do you all have in mind, that you think you need plastic foils, which should then be better than the Gorilla Glass our Notes have? I owned every Note, never had any protector and really love gorilla
That is also my answer to the flip cases: If you like flip, it is great. You will never have any scratches (gorilla!), and I myself like it very much to open and close my phone just by flip open/close.
The one from the 10LITE is also covering the edges, so a good covering against falling down. And that is what you should really fear: Dropping the phone on a hard surface! No screen protector helps here, just "bumpers", especially on the edges. Here I like flip cases, too: They add extra layer for protecting the screen - real layers, not 0,1mm.
Hey guys, I'm an idiot, let's make that clear. Got this phone and thought that I bought a tempered glass screen protector and a back glass tempered glass. Well enough time has passed that I kind of forgot if I actually put it on or not so I'm doubting myself. Is the stock back glass one piece of glass flush, or is there access to the lenses? I was trying to use my new phone kit to get this tempered glass screen protector on and of course the outer edge cracked and I started to panic that maybe I was actually damaging the camera lens itself
The lense protector is part of the rear cover generally. Most times it can be replaced separately. It doesn't not protection as it is the protection for the lens.
Use a good case or the phone will get damaged... a good case helps to protect the built in camera lense protector.
