there is a sticker over the screen, but it has many logos over it...you'll wanna pull it off asap.
Martin Fields have stock for SP for i9000....should have other brands soon.
mmm tnx..
i'm one of those guys wanting to buy cheapass screenprotectors (dealextreme etc.), and putting on a new one every month.
Last time I looked there were screen protectors on ebay - both cheapies and the far more durable vikuiti scratch resistant ones.
I use Exim Ultra Clear from www.displayschutzfolien.com
i tried the MArtinfeilds screen protector for my Omnia II,
i went through 3 of then as its still prone to fingernail scratches...
Invisible Shield was just a pain in bum trying to get it on, i was so frustrated i threw it in the bin...
The Exim looks interesting is that scratch proof?
They say it is.
But if you really want to be on the safe side, take the ultra protect instead of ultra clear.
ultra clear= clear, brilliant colors the foil is really clear
Ultra protect= even more scratch resistant, less reflective but maybe a bit milky
I have the ultra clear in use for about 2 months now and no scratches at all.
I don't use the stylus, only finger nails.

Thank you for your feedback, i will keep an eye out on this site once the i9000 s/p is on sale.

Just bought one of these, they look good, Id rather pay a few bucks extra for a better quality one. Ill review next week
i wonder if its nessary to get a screen protector for the S, i mean the Glass is very impressive anti scratch glass right?
also you guys notice that this glass seems to be anti stain i mean its always clean when it comes out of my pocket and im constantly touching it too (light touches as the screen is so responsive)
It is a plastic glass compound material.
It gets as dirty as other phones. Look at that http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgbloFTOAIo
starting at 2:00 you can see the greasy film reflecting the light.
How easily it could scratch without protector ?
http://www.martinfields.com/AU/MFOP-SamGalaxySi9000
i recommend this protector as ive used it on my Omnia II and its very clear with no discoloration and its not as grippy as Zagg I/S so Swyping is still sweet ...
I have installed martin shields screen protector and it seems to be really good.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
could someone tell me how these are shaped. will they cover whole front or sized just for screen?
i ask because the front seems to be one peice of glass.
I bought one of these:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Vikuiti-scree..._MobilePhonesCasesPouches&hash=item2a0796a13a
It covers the whole of the front of the phone.
Best screen protector Out there

Do they require water to apply? I want to avoid screen protectors that need water/mist for application.
After 3 Weeks i got my Note Edge Healing Shield from Hongkong company Healing Shield.
http://healingshield.shoplineapp.com/products/5478a9a6039055c2e2000001
it comes with 3 pc shields (adhesive folio), microfaser cleaning rag, scraper and a remover sticker...the adhesive bonding folio is a litte bit strange, but works great. The panel is fully secured now, and the size of screen protector is 100%.
Love it!
I have it also and I don't like it.
It has that orange peel effect and makes my screen feel so rubbery.
I had no choice as it was the only screen protector that I could find for the Note Edge while I was vacationing in Singapore this past Christmas/New Year.
It does protect the screen and also the edge. I'd say it protects 90% of the screen but doesn't cover the the three sensors next to the ear piece on top and the bottom part after the home button.
I'm still waiting for the first tempered glass screen protector to be released for the Note Edge.
But the case I got for it is amazing. It is the Tridea case.
http://www.amazon.com/Tridea-Anti-S...dea+case&pebp=1422104071464&peasin=B00PI5O2WY
They are good because they are the best out of the very very few available full screen protector.
However they have many downsides too. For example, they are quite soft so when used with the s pen, it leaves dents and marks on the protecto. It feels quite sticky too at the sasame time so doesn't feel very easy for the fingers to glide on. It also dims quite a bit of the screen brightness and colours. When I compared my note edge with my note 3, the note 3 screen appeared to be brighter and more colourful. I conclude that it is probably due to the healing shield protector. It just doesn't make sense that the new note edge screen is inferior to the note 3 one.
There are 2 types of film. The clear type and anti-glare type. The anti-glare type is much better for s-pen.
i put the armorsuit screen protector, dont see fingerprints.. but do see where my s-pen has been lol. its only visible in the light and held at an angle. Just waiting for a tempered glass screen protector to come out next month
what does it mean by self healing? and if it was, then why would you need 3 then lol
unless its another gimmick like the g flex.
Does your armorsuit covers the whole screen, including the edge? TIA.
I got the Skinomi protector and I absolutely love it. It was easy to put on and was the first protector I'd ever installed myself without a single bubble.
The big difference between the Skinomi and the others I've seen is that the speaker and camera notches are cut out just for them and do not extend up. (Look on Amazon to see what I'm talking about - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NAJ07QU/) For $10 - best purchase ever for a phone.
Apparently, Skinomi will be announcing / releasing their tempered glass protector. I'll probably be picking that up when it comes out.
Correction - It was iloome I was thinking of - not Skinomi.
I agree. I just put a Skinomi on mine, and it is fantastic. Now, as for long term, don't know...but certainly a keeper. Just be patient and let it dry. Amazing.
Hi,
Just got a 8.4 Tab S and Samsung keyboard.
Please suggest a good screen protector (either plastic or tempered glass) that I can easily in Canada (either online or store).
I will also need a case that can fit the tablet/keyboard with a stylus holder.
Thanks in advance.
I have this glass screen protector. No complaints.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B010BUKH1K
I am not sure about the case, I use the Samsung snap on flip cover and love it but it wouldn't accommodate your keyboard. As far as screen protectors go I have a Zagg and I love it, they have always been my favorite and if the protector ever gets damaged they replace it for you.
I'm using a tempered glass from Japan + flip plastic casing.
Dropped my tablet from knee height few weeks back and my screen didn't crack.
Previously I had other tablets without a tempered glass and the screen broke easily.
So a tempered glass is def a must-have for glass protection.
Happy with my Beetle case and Tempered glass protector on my Tab S 10.5..All from Amazon...and less than 30 bucks combined....
With the beetle case I removed the built in screen proctector due to the ugly rainbow effect...
Can't say enough good things about both of these items for the 8.4" Tab S
intelliARMOR tempered glass
Although you asked about one that also holds a keyboard, if you opt for one that is for the tablet only this is a great one. MoKo Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 Case
I'd post links and did actually, but my post count is less than 10 so you'll have to do the leg work yourself on Amazon.
I went with the book cover hence no screen protector required
I bought the Beetle case myself yesterday, it has to ship all the way from the US to the UK, so it was not as cheap as yours, what tempered screen protector did you buy, though i am not the best as installing them.

I purchased the Anoke brand from amazon..cost me 11 bucks..
No problem installing a tempered glass, it's real easy compared to a regular wet install non tempered one..
You just peel away the adhesive side and line it up carefully and lay it on the tablet, then just touch the center of the screen, it will do the rest, you then remove any excess aIr bubbles with the included cloth, no mess , no fuss...
Can the built in screen protector be removed without damage so it can be used with the case in the future?
I have an tempered screen protector, but it came with some of the adhesive around the edge damaged and i got a refund, but it looks like this case the bezel is covered so it might not be seen, so i might be able to use it.
Thanks
John.

Yes, Just use a razor blade to loosen one end.
Its basically glued with a very light film, so it will peel off quite easily.....
But honestly when you see the ugly oily rainbow effect it has you will probably never want to put it back on...
I will see what it look like, and if it`s bad i will get an tempered glass screen protector, do you know what the weight of the beetle case, I cannot seem to find it, even on the supcase website or amazon, does it add a lot of weight? EDIT: Is is it 7oz approx 200g ???
Thanks
John.

It does add noticeable weight to the tabet but nothing that would cause any issues, for me I like the added weight, The Tablet s was so light I felt I was holding nothing and was afraid of dropping it everytime I picked it up.
Now I have something I feel comfortable caring around ..
I got my case yesterday, I cannot see any rainbow effect, did you remover the protective plastic from the inside of the screen before installing it.
Though the built in screen protector is an fingerprint magnet.

Yes,
Glad yours is working out..
Only issue I have thus far with further use is there is no kickstand on the case, but I have a portable tablet stand arriving tomorrow which should fix that problem...
Will let you know how it works out...
Ok got my Tablet portable stand from Amazon today, very sturdy and works great, has lots of different angle settings to fit your needs.. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000CKVOOY?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00
It also will hold the tablet regardless of what case you use to house it..
As you can see I have the heavy duty Beetle case and it fits perfectly....
Stand opened and ready for use.
Tablet resting on the stand with front and back views.
On stand along with the Samsung Bluetooth keyboard...
If you want a stand that will fit in your bag or pocket for quick use this is the one you want.
Hey,
I just got my Mate 9 and since I am like the master of scratching my phone (especially the camera lenses...) I was wondering if you guys had any good suggestions on a good flip cover/wallet case that offers strong protection against camera lense scratches? I'd be veeeeeeery thankful. :silly:

I suggest Huawei's official leather flip case (smartcase).
The original smart case protector from Huawei scratches my screen. Happened now on two different screen protectors: The one that came with it and on Brotect Airglass (tempered glass). I think the hard surface of the case is causing this if fine particles getting crushed between the front cover and screen. Maybe it's my own fault, not sure. I will test it a for a couple of hours with another glass protector and tell you.
I had it with the smart window cover of Huawei, one scratch on the glass of my Mate 7, a disadvantage I found that it does not close properly and opened in my pocket.
For my mate 9 "Mobilize Classic Gelly Wallet Book Case Black Huawei Mate 9"
The lenses are well protected and soft material protects your device. But if you need to flash it's bollocks, this bounce back part of the flash light in the lens, so this case is too thick.
I have original smart view cover too, and it really scratches the screen. Have my Mate 9 for only one week and already got plenty of serious scratches on screen. I'm verry dissapointed about it,because it's original accessory. I'm verry careful with my phones, never get any scratch with my previous phones. Do you have some suggestion what to do? Can I claim warranty on it?
Can confirm that the official flip case scratches the screen where the magnet is. Another problem is that you cannot customize cover wallpaper, so you need to modify theme files in order to change it. Otherwise leather feels nice and premium. I still have the original plastic screen protector applied so I don't care if case scratches it, glass on screen is still perfectly fine...
I removed original screen protector, because it was so badly sticked, that one side of screen protector lap over the actual screen. I love how thin is this original smart cover, but already had to throw it away, because of this scratching problem. Does someone found similar flip case but with non plastic front?
Ah thank God I thought I was crazy.
Scratches on my phone too, also from original Flipcover.
Huawei says it's not a warranty case here in the Netherlands ...
I love and recommend the cases by Stilgut. I have had them on several phones now and never got disappointed.
I can recommend a couple I've bought off AliExpress. One is Capas brand, the other is Capa Coque. Both seem good quality. The latter has a single slot for credit card.

I have this case too. While I can't compare to others I can say I've been happy with it.
So I had the similar Artech 21 case for the Note 5 which is the same people that make the Armadillo Tek case for the Note 9.
I liked the Note 5 case and built in screen protector but I was wondering about the built in screen protector on the Note 9 case since it's curved so the material is different.
Also, has anyone removed the built in screen protector and if so does it cause the phone to be loose in the case?
I'm waiting for more reviews on this case before ordering off Amazon but it looks decent.
How is the protection of the case compared to the Samsung rugged cover
interested in feedback as well.

The case is solid. The screen protector left much to be desired. I removed it easily and the phone still stays solidly in place. It is more protective than the Samsung rugged case but not as slim. I'd feel comfortable dropping it in the armadillo case. Here's a video review I did of it:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=px2roiwe7UM
I have the case as well, I honestly bought like 4 different cases for the Note 9 before I got it, and one of them being the Spigen ToughArmor case and the Armadillotek. I have to say just for protection overall, the AT is way better than the Spigen case. It protects the phone more while not being that bulky, it is slightly less comfortable to hold because of the weird design and kickstand on the back, but its way better than essentially the toothpick that's on the back of Spigen cases.
The case itself covers the front of the phone a lot better than the Spigen as well (edges are raised slightly higher, the case actually covers some of the exposed glass around the sensors and the chin of the phone). It is slightly more expensive, but I'd recommend it to anyone who's scared of dropping their phone tbh.
I didn't bother with the built in screen protector, I don't like plastic screen protectors because they're too scratch prone, but it was easy to just punch it out, remove the adhesive, and just use your own glass screen protector.
It's near perfect, but if the back didn't feel a little weird, I'd say it's a perfect case
Yea, the built in screen protectors in these cases like the Armadillo, Supcase, Youmaker, etc. don't seem really good due to the curved screen. When the galaxy had a flat screen it was fine because a different material was used.
The only think I don't like at least on the Supcase, others as well as the Artech 21 case was the port covers. Unlike the Otterbox Defender it seems over time they can crack.
Right now I use the Defender mostly due to the extra big lip and better side protection.
I might go on a case binge and order the Supcase and Youmaker though but I will for sure the punch out the screen protector. I keep nothing in my phone pocket and the lips on these cases are enough I don't have to worry about contact with the ground.
The Samsung rugged case is a very well built case though. Except I prefer something with more girth like the Otterbox Defender. The Defender makes it easier to grip and use spen.
I'm enjoying it so far. I can type and swype jus like normal, no aggravating mistypes and dead spots. Jus yesterday I was noticing that my screen had some fine scratches on it, and I might keep this plastic protector on for a while. As far as the case, I have used some similar in the past and it is very protective. I also like how it connects together. I don't have to worry if it will come apart.

Those marks might not be scratches but just from the spen. Just like on a naked screen you will notice the spen leaves marks. All you need to do is just wipe it off.
Either way, the screen protectors suck on these cases. Better off just popping them off and go bare. Just don't put keys in your pocket with the phone.
I ripped off the plastic screen protector and installed an edge-to-edge tempered glass one. It works great on me.
I had to rip the plastic cover off as well.

So the built in screen protector isn't really that good?
It does protect the screen. But the edges don't hug the screen super tight, about 1 centimeter around or over the curve. This slight space causes me to have to press a little harder than I'm used to, and that causes mistypes and unresponsive touch, about 1/10 times when I touch that space.

did you turn on the 'touch sensitivity' ?
yes, I sure did. Like I say, 99% of the time was fine, but the edges of the screen protector, the tiny part over the curved edge, was slightly raised with an air gap. So it caused mistypes.

all screen protector sucks! Only use Whitestone tempered glass screen protector for noW
This case is a monster when you use the glass SP with it !
I have a armadillo tek case and i think it sucks
The screen protector is a piece of **** and they told me up front to rip it off, and also the headphone jack and charger jack covers wont stay closed and they told me tough **** to that one.
Also the charger port is too small to allow the samsung usb on the go port to be inserted
