So, I tried rooting using some website's root method, followed it to what I believe to be correct, and now it's stuck on AT&T logo, tormenting me. I searched around and couldn't really find anything pertaining on how to reset it to stock, or fix it. There was mention of a master hardware key reset, holding down volume down and power button for 8 seconds, then holding the buttons again upon the LG Logo appearing. That didn't work. I was hoping I could get some information or guidance as to what I should do. Is the phone trashed now, or is there a way I can get it off of this loop? Any and all help would be much appreciated! :crying:

I was trying to update my droid to a gingerbread from steeldroid section of ROM manager. I was using BB Gingerbread rom before doing this. Everything went fine, but it's stuck on the motorola logo. I know that you can get into recovery mode by pressing down power button and x, but I can't do this because my power button is broken. Is there any way to revert it back to the way it was? or is there maybe a way to get it into recovery mode another way?
Note: I have read other threads of people with similar problems. The difference between them and me is that they were able to get into recovery mode to reflash while I AM NOT able to do so. This is because my power button is completely useless on the phone...someone please tell me it's not totally bricked.
Thanks to anyone that can offer help!
Okay, I have a 16 gig us moto g with a unlocked 4.4 boot loader, cmw recovery, and root. The other day I was going to flash the unofficial beanstalk rom, so I did the usual data wipe and what the installation guide said on the thread. I got stuck in a bootloop so held down the power button to try and reset the phone and get it to the bootloader menu but my screen went black. It has been black ever since, no matter what combination of button I press I can't get the screen to do anything, I have never had this problem before on any android device. Do you guys think if I contact Motorola they'll give me a replacement even though the bootloader is unlocked. Any help is appreciated.
Edit: fixed! I read on a faq that you sometimes have to hold power button for as long as 30 seconds so that's what I did and it worked
I have boot loop issue after rooting the phone and doing factory reset. When power down or restarting the phone goes in to boot loop showing android logo and repeat same process over and over. Even though I am able to turn the phone by pressing the vol up button while pressing the power key but it wipes data every time I restarted it. After searching web I have some one found the solution of the issue and I follow the same process and got rid from the issue which save me. Here is the link for it. Thank to thematrix49 from fido forums and champdood from xda forum.

Please guys I need your help!
Phone model: Lg G Stylo h631 T-Mobile version.
Today I was using my phone and after finishing a call, my phone started to update itself. Then I received a error message. After that, I get stuck with a dead android guy on the screen, and I get the message "no command". I try Different combinations of buttons to solve this problem: Volume Down + Power release and then press the buttons again went the LG logo appear and have no luck. Then I try Volume Up + Power, also have no luck. I think I try almost every possible combination an nothing is working.
If anyone has any idea how to solve this issue please help me. Any help would be appreciated.
(Sorry for my bad English)
Make sure you download or have downloaded and installed the LG drivers from the LG website or any other reliable source or your phone will not be able to recover.
Unplug the phone, take out the battery and once the phone is completely off, replace the battery. Keep the phone powered off and unplugged. Plug a data capable (the usb that came with the phone is best) usb into a PC. Press the VOLUME UP button and HOLD it WHILE plugging the usb into your phone, (The PC should already be connected before plugging in the phone) continue to hold the VOLUME UP button until you pass the LG splash screen and you should then be in DOWNLOAD MODE. From there you can reflash the stock ROM that came with the phone. The stock ROMs are pretty easy to find here on XDA.
If you don't know what flashing a ROM is or means then XDA has plenty of guides for that as well. To return to stock you will need the LG Flash Tool or LG UP depending on which version you want to flash. Marshmalllow uses the LG UP program and Lollipop uses the LG Flash Tool. You can find guides and all the tools\software you will need to fix your phone right here on XDA or a little Google searching.
I have a boost mobile LG Stylo that I rooted last November using 6th_Hokage's custom room method provided here http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g-stylo/development/boost-stylo-5-1-1-zv5-custom-rom-v1-t3216307 on this forum. I used the rooted-zv5-system.img file. All has been well for 7 moths until last night when I was using Google Chrome and the app hung (which happens occasionally, not frequently). Had to pull and reinstert battery and upon booting, I am getting in this weird loop of Setup/Activation Wizard - Wifi Connect - and TalkBack Activation that I cannot get out of. HOME and RECENT SCREENS buttons are disabled, BACK button is enabled. I am assuming some corruption took place.
Can anyone point me in the direction of steps to take on resolving this? I am good either going back to factory or root, I just need my phone working. I have reviewed this forum, and am confused on best option on how to proceed, or do I have a permanent brick.
Thanks so much in advance for the assistance!
I'd reset it from recovery mode. I reset my phone whenever it acts wonky. When you do reset it in recovery do it like 3 times like you are clearing it out to put in a rom. If all else fails you can at least flash the rooted rom or original rom again, Good Luck! At least you have root, I'm on 6.0 and no root sux big time!

Thanks so much. Cool, I hope it is an easy fix. Because I am pretty much a noob with this stuff, I have never "cleared it out" to put in a rom. I might have done it, but do not recall. I will have to review my process steps again to make sure. Any chance you can provide some step by step instruction that I can follow with regard to resetting and clearing out from recovery mode?.
Here are the steps I found online, does this look correct to you...a hard factory reset? Is this ok even with rooted phone?
Hard reset LG G Stylo
Turn off the device
Press and hold Volume Down key + Power Key about 6-7 seconds
Release Power key when LG logo appear
When still pressing Volume Down key, press Power key one more
Release Volume down key when Factory Data Reset menu appears
Use Volume key to select “Yes”
Pres Power key to confirm.
I do still have the rooted rom I originally used and instructions from 6th_Hockage...are you saying that if I just flash that again following the steps I used to originally root the phone that this will work even though the phone is already rooted?
Thanks!
Turn off the device
Press and hold Volume Down key + Power Key about 6-7 seconds
Release Power key when LG logo appear AND it says "Recovery Mode"
You'll get a recovery menu and you use the volume up and down keys to highlight the "factory reset" after highlighting "factory reset" press the power key to activate selection. Do that three times and you will have a clean slate of your rooted rom.
You don't have to re-flash the reset will be the rooted rom
Did it work???
